~ Upcoming Dates & Announcements ~ Next Prayer Meeting - January 29th 2013 at 5pm Combined Lunch - There is a combined lunch this Sabbath, January 18th, as Ray Lucas will be joining us once again. There will also be a combined lunch next Sabbath, January 25th as Darrell Chang will be joining us also. All are welcome to join us in fellowship and lunch after the service. ~ Church Website ~ The church website is reaching so many people and it s all because God s hand is upon it. This year has seen the introduction of a new series of Devotionals from Sister White s book That We May Know Him published in 1964. The public response has been very positive and our subscriptions on the list has grown from 50 to 62 in the new year so far. One such response is from Elizabeth Ford who shares the devotionals with members of the public and her friends. She wrote: O Thank you Shaun for your reply as I thought this was you. I m doing great as of this year,, I ended the year going to Belize on a mission trip for two weeks, as I did eye clinic, giving people glasses as I checked there eyes and was able to witness and do my duty as God would want me to,, so I m praising the Lord. It was work as of nights I was able to speak on parenting and that was good for me to gain confidence to speak to the people. I m going to Florida to a camp meeting Jan 22, to see a great speaker and this is my old home place as I will visit my twin sister. So I m still travelling where God may have me witnessing for Him. I thank you again for your time to get these devotion to me.. So have a great day and keep up the great work that you are,, it s a blessing to me,, God Bless. Elizabeth. Last years stuff is still available within The Archives section, so if you missed a lesson, sermon or other item it may be located there. Our page in Facebook has 324 friends and is growing every day. The Recipe Club page has 35 members and these numbers also increase as the year progresses. If you would like to have a recipe added during the club down time feel free to contact Shaun and have it posted on our page. Please remember this ministry in your prayers as the site is there to help spread the Gospel truth to the world. Since the 10th of January 2012 we have had over 23,000 people use the site and God empowered, this will increase dramatically this year. And for giving us the power to help spread the Gospel message to the world.

~ Weekly Devotional Message ~ January 18th THE LIVING WATER And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:4 Christ combines the two types. He is the rock, He is the living water. The same beautiful and expressive figures are carried throughout the Bible. Centuries before the advent of Christ, Moses pointed to Him as the rock of Israel's salvation; the psalmist sung of Him as "my redeemer," "the rock of my strength," "the rock that is higher than I," "a rock of habitation," "rock of my heart," "rock of my refuge." In David's song His grace is pictured also as the cool, "still waters," amid green pastures, beside which the heavenly Shepherd leads His flock. Again, "Thou shalt make them," he says, "drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life." And the wise man declares, "The wellspring of wisdom {is} as a flowing brook." To Jeremiah, Christ is "the fountain of living waters"; to Zechariah, "a fountain opened... for sin and for uncleanness." Isaiah describes Him as the "rock of ages," and "the shadow of a great rock in a weary land." And he records the precious promise, bringing vividly to mind the living stream that flowed for Israel: "When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them." "I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground"; "in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert." The invitation is given, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters." And in the closing pages of the sacred word this invitation is echoed. The river of the water of life, "clear as crystal," proceeds from the throne of God and the Lamb; and the gracious call is ringing down through the ages, "Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
