Remainder of the day at leisure to rest or explore the city at your own pace. Lisbon overnight (D) DAY 3: Sunday 10th September Lisbon to Fatima This morning we will meet with our local guide and enjoy a tour of Lisbon city. Our first stop is St Anthony s Basilica where we celebrate our group Mass. Despite what might be assumed from his name, St Anthony was born and grew up in Lisbon and today remains the patron saint of lost articles. Visit the World Heritage listed Jeronimo s Monastery dating back to the 16th century with its stunning combination of flamboyant Gothic, Moorish and early Renaissance influences; see nearby Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. See Europe s longest suspension bridge and view the inspiring Statue of Christ the King pointing the way north to Fatima. En route to Fatima we will visit the Holy Miracle Church of St Stephen at Santarem containing the oldest recorded Eucharistic miracle. Finally we arrive at Fatima where in 1917 the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three children as a lady in white. DAY 4: Monday 11th September Fatima This morning we will walk and pray the Stations along the beautiful Way of the Cross (the Sacred Way). Continue to Valinhos, the site of Our Lady s appearance after the children s return from prison before proceeding to Aljustrel to visit the homes where the children lived. Enter the original Parish church and see the Baptismal font where the children were baptised. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure. DAY 5: Tuesday 12th September Fatima Vigil Centenary Celebrations Today we enjoy a tour of the Square (the largest square in Christendom) including the site of the Apparitions, Rosary Basilica with the Tombs of the visionaries, the Museum, Blessed Sacrament Chapel and other main sites. Afternoon at leisure in Fatima. This evening after dinner the Anniversary Vigil ceremonies begin with an International Rosary followed by a candlelight procession and concelebrated Mass on the steps of the Rosary Basilica. From midnight to dawn an optional all night vigil is held for the enrichment of pilgrims. DAY 6: Wednesday 13th September Fatima Centenary Anniversary Celebrations We awake to the sound of pilgrims from all over the world en route to the morning s Anniversary celebrations. Commence with a Rosary followed by the procession of Our Lady s statue to the altar on the steps of the Basilica. Celebrate the extraordinary International Anniversary Mass followed by the Blessing of the Sick and Consecration. The ceremonies will close around midday with the touching Adios spectacle (waving of the white handkerchiefs in tribute to Our Lady) as her statue is carried back to the Capelinha. DAY 7: Thursday 14th September Fatima to Assisi Early this morning we will return to Lisbon airport for our flight connections to Italy. On arrival at Rome airport we will be met and transferred north through scenic Umbrian countryside to the pilgrimage centre of Assisi, where St Francis tended the poor and sick and founded the Franciscan Order. Onwards to the Upper Town to check in to our hotel. Assisi overnight (BD) DAY 8: Friday 15th September Assisi We begin our day at the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels down on the plains where St Francis spent most of his life and containing the Chapel where he died in 1226. We then return to the upper town where we enjoy a guided tour through some of the town s highlights including: Basilica of St Francis housing the tomb of St Francis (for Mass) and the Church of St Damiano built where the voice of Christ spoke to St Francis through the crucifix go rebuild my Church, which you see is falling down. Culminate up at the Hermitage (Eremo delle Carceri), an oasis of peace and tranquillity in the woods built on the site of a simple cave where St Francis often withdrew to spend many hours in prayer. The cave and the Chapel of Our Lady are preserved in the Hermitage. We end our tour at the Basilica of St Clare which houses the famous crucifix through which Jesus spoke to St Francis. An opportunity presents itself before dinner to attend Vespers in the Basilica of St Clare and listen to the angelic voices of the Poor Clare nuns. Assisi overnight (BD)

HILL OF THE APPARITIONS, MEDJUGORJE JERUSALEM DAY 9: Saturday 16th September Via Loreto & Lanciano to San Giovanni Rotondo After breakfast we will rejoin our coach and continue our journey to the great Marian shrine of Loreto to visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. More than 50 Popes have made a pilgrimage to the house transported by angels to a hill in central Italy in 1294. Tradition has it that this is the house where Mary received the Annunciation, where Jesus grew to manhood and the Holy Family dwelled. A tour of the shrine will be included. Journey south this afternoon to Lanciano, scene of the Eucharistic miracle in the 8th century where, during Mass and moments after consecration, the Basilian monk (who doubted the real presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist) found himself holding a host that had changed to flesh and the wine to blood. To this day the sacred relics have remained incorrupt while recent scientific examinations have confirmed that the flesh is real flesh, the blood is real blood. Here we will celebrate a special Mass. We continue on to San Giovanni Rotondo where St Padre Pio spent a lifetime of prayer, penance, self-denial and intense pain caused by the five wounds of Our Lord s passion. His list of supernatural gifts are overwhelming reading of souls, prophecy, miraculous healings, spiritual direction, etc while spending extraordinarily long hours in the confessional and often sleeping very little. Throughout his life he received visits from Jesus and Mary and had regular communication with his guardian angel. San Giovanni Rotondo overnight (BD) DAY 10: Sunday 17th September San Giovanni Rotondo & Monte Sant angelo This morning we take a tour of the shrine including: Tomb and cell of St Padre Pio; his Confessional; and the Crucifix from which he received the stigmata. We visit the English speaking office for an inspirational talk by one of the friars and to view a special rare film showing highlights of St Padre Pio s daily life in the Monastery. Travel by coach in the afternoon to Monte Sant Angelo to visit the Shrine of St Michael the Archangel and celebrate Mass in the cave. The Archangel is said to have made four separate appearances here mostly during the 5th century, making the sanctuary here one of the earliest Christian sites in Europe and visited by thousands of pilgrims every year. San Giovanni Rotondo overnight (BD) DAY 11: Monday 18th September Via Montecassino to Rome Departing San Giovanni Rotondo we journey west towards Cassino, where we wind our way up the mountain, enjoying the view of the spectacular Abbey of Montecassino, founded in 529 by St Benedict, patron saint of Europe and the founder of western monasticism. The Abbey was carefully rebuilt after the epic battle of 1944 and still dominates the surrounding countryside from its mountaintop setting. On arrival we will celebrate our group Mass before a guided visit. A museum displays examples of medieval monastic art while the Basilica is richly decorated with mosaics. We come too as pilgrims to pray before the relics of St Benedict and his sister, St Scholastica. In the late afternoon we travel into Rome, the Eternal City. DAY 12: Tuesday 19th September Rome Celebrate this morning a spectacular Mass at St Peter s Basilica before coming to the nearby Vatican Museums. Wander the spectacular chambers leading to the Sistine Chapel to view Michelangelo s masterpieces, including the magnificent fresco of the Last Judgment. Continue through to the awe inspiring St. Peter s Basilica, the largest church in the world for an informative exploration. Our guided tour will feature among other highlights Michelangelo s stunning Pieta, the tomb of Pope St John Paul II, the great Confessional and the Crypt containing the tombs of several Popes. Some free time will be afforded this afternoon to discover the sights of Rome. Strolling through the streets is like walking through the pages of a history book. Indulge in a gelato or enjoy a coffee while absorbing and admiring the history of this ancient city. Marvel at the Pantheon or visit the Church of St Ignatius with its amazing ceiling painted to look like a dome. Set out after dinner to view Rome by night as we discover the city s renowned monuments from inside our comfortable coach. See the Colosseum alight, the Victor Emmanuel Monument, the Piazza Della Republica, St Peter s Basilica and Capitol Hill. Disembark to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain before strolling to the Piazza Navona to soak up the vibrant atmosphere. DAY 13: Wednesday 20th September Rome Join with pilgrims worldwide this morning in a Papal Audience with Pope Francis in St Peter s Square - subject to his presence in Rome. In the afternoon, visit the impressive St Mary Major Basilica. Onwards to the Basilica of St John in Lateran (First Papal residence) and the adjacent Holy Stairs brought from Jerusalem to Rome in 326AD by St Helena (as a favourite of pilgrims, these steps may only be ascended on the knees). Finally we visit the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme with its extraordinary collection of relics from the Holy Land. Mass today will be celebrated one of the papal basilicas. DAY 14: Thursday 21st September Rome This morning we enter into the most visited attraction in Rome - the Colosseum. In 1749, Pope Benedict XIV declared the Colosseum a sacred site,

21 DAY ITINERARY CONT. as it was a place where early Christians had been martyred. View also the Circus Maximus and the Roman Forum en route. Continue to the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls as a special tribute to the Church s greatest evangelist. Here we will celebrate our group Mass. Journey on to the ancient Catacombs for a memorable guided tour. Marvel at these underground burial tunnels for Christians and Hebrews. This evening we will celebrate our final night in Rome at a traditional Italian restaurant. DAY 15: Friday 22nd September Rome to Medjugorje Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight connections to Croatia. On arrival we will be met and transferred into Bosnia-Herzegovina and onto the village of Medjugorje. Prepare for a most extraordinary encounter of grace and peace for the next three days. Here we will be welcomed by a local family in private guesthouse lodgings (all rooms with ensuite). Home cooked dinners and breakfasts will be served daily from your residence. DAYS 15 18: Fri 22nd to Mon 25th September The Medjugorje Pilgrimage 4 Night Programme (BD Daily) I have come to tell the world that God exists that peace is necessary for the salvation of the world. Mankind must be reconciled with God and with one another. These words came as a soothing balm to a troubled world and were first spoken by Our Lady to six village children in June 1981. Visit Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Retreat House commonly known as the Castle, and hear the amazing testimony of Patrick Latta, a successful businessman and car dealer from Canada, who received a great grace of conversion through the messages of Our Lady. In 1993, he and his wife Nancy left everything behind and moved to Medjugorje during the height of the war. Visit the Cenacolo Community Field of Life is the name of the community that Sr Elvira has founded for young men who were once drug addicts. We will be touched to hear their miraculous testimonies of faith. Final Payment: Pilgrims must make final payment no later than 49 days prior to their confirmed departure date. LATE BOOKINGS A non-refundable surcharge of AUD$100.00 per person will apply for any bookings made within 30 days of departure. Hotels are selected, subject to availability, from grading suggested by local authorities or our representatives with due consideration to the particular needs of our pilgrims. Every effort has been made to ensure that this and ancillary brochures are accurate at the time of printing but, are subject to any statutory liability which may not be excluded by law. The operator is not liable for any error, omission or inaccuracy in these brochures whether occurring at or after the time of printing in regard to price or any other detail or booking condition. In some circumstances beyond Harvest s control, pilgrimage itineraries may differ to that listed in the Harvest brochure or pilgrimage overview. If this situation occurs, Pilgrims will be advised by a Harvest Consultant or their Pilgrimage Director of the alternate sites / travel. Harvest will do all possible to supply comparable services / accommodation and/or itineraries and there shall be no refund as a result of these amendments. 11. ROOM TYPES Prices are based on twin share rooms containing two single beds. An individual pilgrim s request to share is accepted at the time of booking. Specific requests (single/double/triple) must be made at time of booking and supply cannot be guaranteed. Single supplement surcharges apply for single room requests. Requests for double rooms or double beds cannot be guaranteed. Requests for triple room can be met by either a full sized triple room or a twin bedded room with extra roll-away bed. The twin share cost applies per person for all triple rooms booked. Pilgrims with a serious or ongoing medical condition or mobility constraint (subject to travel approval by Harvest) must bring an accompanying able bodied companion / carer. Pilgrims electing to twin share with an unknown partner of the same gender do so in the full knowledge that Harvest cannot guarantee, and is not responsible for the compatibility or medical fitness of your roommate. For all share requests, the applicable single supplement surcharge will apply at the time of booking. If you remain matched throughout the entire pilgrimage, you will be refunded the single supplement within two weeks of the completion of the pilgrimage. Any share allocation will be at Harvest s discretion and is not guaranteed. Please note that should you be matched with another pilgrim, Harvest cannot be held responsible if that choice is not to your satisfaction. If at any time during the pilgrimage you consider your rooming partner unsuitable, Harvest will use reasonable endeavours to allocate single rooms for the remainder of the tour, subject to availability using the prepaid single supplement surcharge. 12. SELLING PRICES Prices are current as at 30 September 2016 and are based on costs (including airfare and land costs), charges, tariffs, rates, taxes, levies and exchange rates calculated on the basic pilgrimage departure and are not inclusive of fees, costs, charges and levies for additional flight arrangements and stopovers. All costs are subject to change at any time due to alterations in taxes, charges or levies imposed by airlines, tour companies, governments, their agencies, principals and/or currency fluctuations. Harvest reserves the right to surcharge the price of a pilgrimage due to such increases. If the total pilgrimage cost increases by more than 10%, pilgrims will have the right to cancel within 7 days of advice of the surcharge without penalty. A pilgrimage can only operate at the advertised price if a minimum number of bookings are achieved. If at 49 days prior to departure, numbers fall below the minimum, a surcharge on booked pilgrims may be applied to ensure departure. Harvest is not responsible for disruption to any travel arrangements not booked or operated by Harvest. 13. ABOUT COSTS Included in the selling price of each pilgrimage are (although not restricted to) charges to cover the cost of research, reservations from agents in Australia and from our overseas destinations, postage, facsimile, telephone, bank charges, currency transfers, documents, brochure production, printing, distribution, advertising and remuneration to travel agents. Cost breakup is not supplied. Deposit payment signifies your acceptance of these usual commercial costs and fees paid to our overseas associates. 14. ALTERATION TO PRODUCT OR SERVICES If circumstances beyond Harvest s reasonable control require that inclusions be altered, product of similar value or standard will be supplied. In the unlikely event of pilgrimage cancellation by Harvest, pilgrims are offered a change of arrangements, alternative tour or a full and immediate refund without further Harvest liability. 15. AIR TRAVEL Flights booked for pilgrimages will be in economy class on an airline of Harvest s choosing for departures from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Flights booked as part of a pilgrimage will be via the most appropriate route - although this may not be on a direct flight. If pilgrims choose to travel on an alternative airline to the group, they do so with the knowledge that additional costs / surcharges may apply. The scheduled flights used for all departures are subject to the usual conditions of the carrying airline and relevant to international law. Harvest accepts no responsibility for alterations to air schedules. As air fare increases and fuel surcharges can be applied without notice we reserve the right to apply the same at any time prior to final ticketing. Airlines endorsing this and ancillary brochures do not represent themselves either as contracting with any purchaser of a Harvest pilgrimage or as having any other legal responsibility with such purchaser. 16. HEALTH Any medical condition, disability or mobility difficulty that may affect the functioning of the group must be advised on the booking form. Any pilgrim with a pre-existing medical condition or illness must declare the nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any drugs or other course of treatment that may be required during the tour. Any relevant health or mobility conditions not adequately disclosed may result in your immediate and direct return to your point of departure at your expense and without availability of refund. This clause is necessary to assure the health and safety of all group members and in particular those with whom you may be sharing a room. We recommend you consult your doctor in respect of your intended travel as this may also have some bearing on your application for travel insurance. Furthermore your doctor or the relevant Government Health authorities can advise on any vaccination requirements necessary. Certain pilgrims with a serious or ongoing medical condition or mobility constraint (subject to travel approval by Harvest) must bring an accompanying companion / carer. (refer SECTION 17 MINIMUM MOBILITY REQUIREMENTS) All requests for health / medical clearance submitted by pilgrims are at the sole discretion of the operating carrier / tour operator / travel insurance company. Harvest cannot be held responsible for the outcome of these decisions. 17. MINIMUM MOBILITY REQUIREMENTS Many of the sites visited on our pilgrimages require a reasonable amount of walking. Harvest must be advised, at the time of booking, of ANY physical condition that will affect your mobility. Your condition will be assessed and may require qualified medical consultation. Whilst Harvest will make reasonable attempts to accommodate any special needs it is not responsible in the event that we are not able to do so, nor are we responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants or any independent suppliers. Most transportation services, including touring coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. Harvest regrets that it cannot provide individual assistance to a pilgrim for walking, dining, getting on or off coaches or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion / carer must accompany travellers who need assistance and must be responsible for their wellbeing. Wheelchairs, walking aides or any particular hotel room specification cannot be arranged once a pilgrimage has commenced. If a Pilgrim s mobility limitation affects the operation of the pilgrimage, that pilgrim will be immediately returned home, at their expense and no refund for unused services will be applicable. 18. PASSPORT VISA Each pilgrim is personally responsible for ensuring they possess valid travel documentation. New passport applications must be personally applied for. Existing passports must not expire for at least 6 calendar months after the intended date of return to Australia. Non-Australian passport holders must possess a valid Australian Re-entry Certificate. If you are travelling on a passport issued by a country other than Australia, you will need to be aware that visa requirements may differ from those for Australian passport holders. Visas required by non Australian passport holders must be applied for by the passport holder. Your Harvest Consultant will be able to advise you of these requirements. Cancellation of a pilgrimage due to incomplete travel documentation will incur standard cancellation fees. 19. CHILDREN (UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE) Children travelling with accompanying parents or guardians are most welcome. Costs may vary according to the number of adults sharing a room and individual child costs will be supplied on request. 20. SPECIAL REQUESTS Any special requests (such as airline seating or dietary requirements) made at the time of booking are on a request only basis. Harvest will do all possible to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee these can be met in all instances. 21. GLOBAL PILGRIM ALLIANCE Harvest promotes various travel related products on behalf of the Global Pilgrim Alliance. It is Harvest s obligation to make these bookings on your behalf. We are not responsible for the operation of these services nor do we make or give any warranty or representation regarding their standard. All bookings made with one of Harvest s Alliance Partners are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability of these providers. Harvest will not be held responsible if, for any reason, a travel service provider is not able to provide the services booked. Published costs for Global Pilgrim Alliance packages are shown in either US Dollars or Euro. Your Harvest Consultant will advise the equivalent Australian Dollar amount (including any bank fees and charges) at the time of final payment. 22. RESPONSIBILITIES Harvest agrees to make reservations with the Principal offering the services described in this and ancillary brochures. Harvest does not accept any responsibility for default causing loss or injury to persons whether by negligence or otherwise on the part of the Principal providing any facilities for any person taking advantage of the services described in this brochure. Harvest is not liable for any loss suffered by any person or any additional expense caused or occasioned by transportation provider delay, change of aircraft service, alteration to any other travel service, illness, injury, strike, civil disturbance, terrorism, quarantine, flood or other disturbances of whatsoever nature interfering with, altering, or adding to the cost of the service requested or booked. After departure, if the services included in the pilgrimage cannot be supplied or are altered for reasons beyond our control, Harvest will arrange for the provision of comparable services where possible. Any resulting additional expense will be payable by pilgrims and any resulting savings will be refunded. Harvest is not liable for any dissatisfaction the client may have with the properties used. You agree not to hold Harvest responsible for any decision made by insurers, and/or by any suppliers, or requirements of any foreign country, government authority or overseas laws and policies. The above exclusions of liability are subject to any statutory liability which unresolved may not be excluded by law. Unresolved difficulties must be conveyed to Harvest Australia Pty Ltd in writing with any supporting documents within 30 days of return to Australia. 23. DOCUMENTATION It is the Client s responsibility to carefully check all confirmation documentation, itineraries, air tickets and vouchers immediately upon receipt (particularly in regard to spelling of names and travel dates), and advise Harvest of any discrepancies. All travel documentation will be available for collection / courier delivery 10 14 days prior to your scheduled departure. Tour Only pilgrims must advise Harvest, at the earliest time, of their departure date from Australia. 24. CURRENCY Costs listed are in local currency for Australia (AUD), except for the Global Pilgrim Alliance programme (refer SECTION 21 GLOBAL PILGRIM ALLIANCE). 25. PRIVACY STATEMENT Harvest may collect personal information about you from third parties (including your medical practitioner) as reasonably required in planning and booking tours and for any purpose relating to your tour. You may seek access to any personal information which Harvest may hold about you in accordance with provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (CL). 26. CONSUMER PROTECTION Harvest Australia Pty Limited ACN 056 849 426, Travel Agent Licence 2TA003632. Harvest is a Member of AFTA and ATAS. 27. NEW SOUTH WALES LAW The Terms and Conditions published herein are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. 28. VALIDITY The programmes listed in this Harvest brochure supersedes the Harvest 2016 programme and is valid to 31 December 2017.
