Eucharistic Adoration in the Archdiocese of Washington May/ June, 2015 You do not need many words when you pray. We believe on faith that the good and gracious God is there in the tabernacle; we open our souls to Him; and feel happy that He allows us to come before Him; this is the best way to pray. St. John Vianney, Patron Saint of Parish Priests ( from Sacerdotii Nostri Primordia, par.47 Encyclical, Saint John XXIII) Throughout the Archdiocese, Eucharistic Adoration will be celebrated at parishes for an opportunity to offer your prayers and spiritual support for men being ordained this year on June 21, 2015. The list of 90 parishes (some parishes have already held their Holy Hours) has been sent to all of the individual parishes but in order to assist with parishioners work and family schedules, the Holy Hours have been ordered by date and counties. Suggestions to help you participate: 1. Search your parish by county, going through the dates listed. Hopefully you can support your parish Holy Hour. 2. Search your county for a convenient time or date to attend a Holy Hour. 3. Find a parish near your work place that may have a suitable schedule. 4. Make a small pilgrimage of a few Holy Hours, using the different times as a guide, as well as, a map search to gage distances between churches.
