FIVE THINGS MOST PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT Matthew 7: The Sermon on the Mount

Transcription:

By Tim Lighthall Put On A definition of the kingly anointing is this: It is the fact that when Jesus died and rose again He sent the Holy Spirit so that you could get so full of Him, power and authority that you are about to explode, that just when you are about to explode with His power you go looking for someone or some group or some nation to go explode upon so the power and anointing of the Lord knocks them into the Kingdom of God!!! Put on your inheritance! Put on your royal robes! Put on the anointing of the Holy Spirit! Scripture tells us several times to put on something. Below is a list of things we can put on each day by faith. As we do, you will begin to notice opportunities to use these anointings to break people s yokes! Of course, these things are already ours, we just put them on or activate them (stir them up) by faith! 1. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13:14. - Put on His mantle of healing - Put on His mantle of love, kindness, and compassion - Put on His mantle of authority to preach and teach - Put on His mantle of authority over the winds and waves - Put on His mantle of authority to cast out demons - Put on His mantle of power to raise the dead - Put on His mantle to open the eyes of the blind - Put on His mantle to set the captives free - Put on His mantle to proclaim the Year of Jubilee - Put on His mantle to hear in the Spirit and see in the Spirit - Put on His mantle to be one with the Father - Put on His mantle to equip disciples - Put on His mantle to impart the Holy Spirit to others - Put on His mantle to destroy the works of the devil - Put on His mantle to give wise counsel - Put on His mantle to receive revelation - Put on His mantle of Prince of Peace and loose 2. Clothe yourself with victory! Put on the victor s crown! But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:57. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ 2 Cor. 2:14. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games Page 1 of 10

exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 1 Cor. 9:24-25. For You meet him with the blessings of good things; You set a crown of fine gold on his head. Psalm 21:3. 3. Put on a coat of many colors! Jacob clothed Joseph with a coat of many colors because he favored Joseph. We, too, can wear a coat of many colors, of many blessings, of many favors, of many graces, of many gifts of the Holy Spirit, we need to put on our armor as well, though, to protect us from our brothers that are jealous of the favor. We can also put favor on as a shield! We must also seal the favor with the Blood of Jesus and the seal of the Holy Spirit so the enemy can in no wise touch us. 4. Put on the Holy Spirit! And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:29. And the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove Luke 3:22. Put on power to be His witnesses. Be overlaid with gold and inlaid with gold. Be so anointed with power that even your shadow heals people. Get a congregation (corporate anointing) so filled with anointing and power that people driving by or pulling into the parking lot get healed and saved!! Jesus acknowledged and agreed with the anointing that He was clothed with (the Holy Spirit came upon Him like a dove) when He said that He was anointed to preach the Gospel We MUST come into agreement with the FACT that we have been anointed with the Holy Spirit. That agreement empowers the Holy Spirit to work. If we do not believe we are anointed, we empower the work of the enemy upon our life. The devil tempted Jesus toward unbelief by saying, If you are the Son of God, then The enemy is tempting us to doubt that we are anointed. Let us realize we can be clothed daily in the anointing, in the power, and freely we have received so freely we can give the HS (the Kingdom) away! Peter said to the crippled man, what I do have I give to you, in the name of Jesus rise up and walk! And the man did! 5. Put on abundant grace! those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:17. Put on abundant grace and favor and righteousness lavished on us and reign in life with Christ. 6. Put on humility. clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. 1 Peter 5:5. This needs to be the first layer of our coat of many colors that we put on each day. Without the humility, there will be no grace or favor. 7. Put on purity. "I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban. Job 29:14. 8. Clothe yourself in His presence and power, be overshadowed by Him! The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee. Luke 1:35. Your shadow will always release what overshadows you! Peter was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit so whenever Page 2 of 10

people came near him they came in contact with He who overshadowed him. To be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit of Jesus was Peter s main goal in life and it resulted in many miracles! 9. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Gal. 3:27. You are clothed with Christ, Christ means the Anointed One, put on your anointing today and walk in who you are, walk in your empowered destiny. 10. Put on power, authority, and dominion. Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:1-2. 11. Put on strength, especially in any areas of weakness in your life or body or soul. Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. Isaiah 52:1. And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor. 129-10. 12. Put on His all surpassing resurrection power! the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Ephesians 1:19. His power is moving toward us, we need to lay hold of it and put it on! 13. Put on the armor of Light (Romans 13:12). 14. Put on the Manifest Presence of God and His Shekinah Glory. 15. THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3. 16. And as you go, preach, saying, ' The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. Matthew 10:7. Put on the power to preach, to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to cleanse lepers, to cast out demons! 17. ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] Page 3 of 10

peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 61:1-3. 18. Put on the whole armor of God. Put on your protection, the enemy can in no wise harm you! 19. Put on the mind of Christ so I think as He thought and hear the Father as Jesus heard the Father. 20. You surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalm 84:11. The covenant with Abraham and the Jews is one of favor. It is true even to this day. Even pagan Jews still walk in favor because of the promise. Since that is true, we, as grafted in ones, also share in that same favor, and it cannot be earned, it must be accepted by faith and put on daily as a shield. This is great news! Let this become a rhema word by faith instead of just a logos word and you can begin walking in God s favor! If you are a believer, you have been chosen by God. That is favor! Believe you have the favor of God in every area. He did not choose you and save you to set you aside to be miserable. He wants to show you the same type of favor Jacob showed Joseph and the King showed Esther. Put on favor! 21. But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corslet) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 1 Thess. 5:8. Put on love and faith and hope as protection. 22. and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all. So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col. 3:10-17. 23. I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10. 24. But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet Luke 15:22. 25. Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, including his sword and his bow and his belt. So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and prospered; and Saul set him over the men of war. 1 Samuel 18:4-5. Page 4 of 10

26. "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 27. Put on the anointing that breaks people s yokes. Isaiah 10:27. 28. and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Ephesians 4:24. Put on conformity to the image of Christ, see also Rom. 8:29. 29. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled {by the blood of Jesus} from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22. Put on the blood! 30. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hands are power and might; in Your hands it is to make great and to give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29:12. 31. Put on life. John 10:10. 32. Put on the anointing to make wealth. Deut. 8:18. 33. I put on the royal robes as Esther did and I receive up to half the Kingdom! I receive my kingly portion! 34. Put on eyes that see and ears that hear and eyes of the heart that are enlightened. See Eph. 1:18. 35. For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. Zechariah 2:5. 36. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7. 37. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1:14. 38. You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side. Psalm 71:21. 39. the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. Genesis 39:5. 40. Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;) Esther 2:11. Soak in the Glory realm of His beauty treatments, His anointings, His purifying, His savor, etc.! 41. Put on immortality! 1 Corinthians 15:53. Watch what begins happening to your health after you put this on! You will also begin gaining wisdom as to how to live healthily! We also have a priestly anointing as our inheritance! A definition of the priestly inheritance is: It is the fact that when Jesus died and rose again He sent the Holy Spirit so that you could get so full of Him, so full Page 5 of 10

of His presence, so full of His glory, that just when you are about to explode with His Presence you go look for someone or some group or some nation to go explode upon so the presence and glory of the Lord knocks them into the Kingdom of God!!! We can daily receive our priestly inheritance. Unlike the kingly inheritance, the priestly inheritance does not come upon us, it comes IN us! The hope of glory is Christ IN us! So drink in daily and be filled with the priestly inheritance: 1. Get filled and flooded with the Holy Spirit. 2. Get filled and flooded with the Word of God richly dwelling in you. 3. Get filled and flooded with rhema words. 4. Get filled and flooded with every anointing, revelation, blessing, resource and favor I need to minister miraculously and effectively. 5. Get filled and flooded with all the fullness of God. 6. Get filled and flooded with the Kingdom of God. 7. Get filled and flooded with our inheritance. 8. Get filled and flooded with thanksgiving, praise, worship, and honor for God. 9. Get filled and flooded with His Manifest Presence and Shekinah Glory. 10. Get filled and flooded with dominion, power, and authority. 11. Get filled and flooded with joy inexpressible and full of glory. 12. Get filled and flooded with the fruit of the Spirit. 13. Get filled and flooded with the gifts of the Spirit. 14. Get filled and flooded with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, understanding, counsel, truth, words of knowledge, the prophetic, guidance, faith, trust, sound mind, self-discipline, and the mind of Christ. 15. Get filled and flooded with rivers of living water. 16. Get filled and flooded with love. 17. Get filled and flooded with hope. 18. Come to Him all who are weary and heavy laden and He will give you rest for your soul. 19. Get filled and flooded soul prosperity resulting in healing and prosperity. 20. Get filled and flooded with holiness. 21. Get filled and flooded with every good and perfect gift, everything you need for life and godliness, every spiritual blessing. 22. Get filled and flooded with the peace of God. Page 6 of 10

Eat and drink. Feast on His Word and on the Bread of His Presence (rhema words can change a life, a rhema word is just a logos word that comes alive in you! No rhema word of God is without power! Faith comes by that rhema word! After it comes alive in you, it can be released to others as the word is Spirit and Spirit gives life to the hearer!). Be filled with the Holy Spirit until rivers of Living Water are flowing out of you. Be inlaid with gold. Strengthen yourself by praying in tongues. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Get undressed from your night clothes. Repent and turn from any and every association with darkness. What fellowship does light have with darkness? Take off the darkness or night clothes! Get dressed with the new man, the clothes of the light of day. When you were a child, you thought like a child and dressed yourself like a child (in other words, mom and dad had to dress you, feed you, clean you up, etc.). It is time to start dressing yourself, feeding yourself, etc. Jesus told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they were clothed from on high. So they went to an upper room and prayed until the Holy Spirit came in power. We need to do this daily. We need to get in our upper room and pray until the power of God comes upon us, until we are clothed in Jesus, clothed in all the things listed below. Be overlaid with gold, with anointing! Don t be concerned with dressing to look good, put on the spiritual clothes that make HIM look good! Put on the Anointing! Put on Jesus! Put on His glory!!! The Lord is looking for people to rest upon, those who will host His presence and release His presence to rest upon someone else! Our lives will change when we stop glaring at who we are not or what our problems are (Paul said in 2 Cor. 6:12 that the Corinthians had become restrained in their affections, could their affections have been on their own issues and problems and complaints about Paul?). We need to gaze at who He is and what He has promised and we need to believe it and receive it, rejoice in it and walk in it!! Be clothed with or put on: WHATEVER YOU ARE AWARE OF THAT IS IN YOU AND ON YOU, YOU CAN IMPART TO OTHERS!!! SO GO IMPART WHAT YOU KNOW YOU HAVE! You are the light of the world, you are the salt, you are the voice of God, you are the power of God, you are the messenger of God and you are equipped and empowered to go!! These things come in seed form. When we get them as rhema, they will be tested but when we hold on to our faith, they become empowered! Jesus entered the wilderness with the Holy Spirit, was tested, but left the wilderness empowered. If we pass the tests, we will receive reward. No tests, no opportunity for reward. So when the Lord told me I have favor, I have favor! That word will be tested but when I overcome, it is empowered!!!!!!!!!! Go! Go about your daily business. As the Father sent Jesus, so He sends us. How did He send the Son? With the power of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus said as He was sent, so He would send us, He then breathed on the disciples the Holy Spirit (see John 20:21-22)! We are anointed to change the world, to take territory for the Kingdom, to destroy the works of the enemy, to set the captives free. Miracles will happen in the Page 7 of 10

midst of obedience, not in the midst of our planning. Jesus miracles happened while He was out being about the Father s business, not after praying for miracles to happen. If your affection or compassion or spiritual sensitivities are drawn to someone, it is your spirit man telling you to give that person focused ministry. He wants to release His Spirit upon that person (release his Kingdom through healing, deliverance, etc.). We need just get our power clothes on and go, watching and listening for His voice of direction as we go. Allow the Lord to show us, as we are out and about, who he wants to release His Spirit to through you so He can rest upon them! As you go, make disciples of all nations. Walk in this fullness of anointing and the fullness of power and the fullness of favor. Do not quench the Spirit or put out the Spirit s fire (doves are very skittish and flee at the slightest provocation. I need to walk as if the Spirit like a dove is on my shoulder so that means every step I take is with the Spirit or dove in mind so He does not light off of me, He is not quenched, the Spirit s fire is not put out). Fan it into a flame! Once the Father put the Holy Spirit in us, He knew we had power to be more than conquerors over the devil and his kingdom. So all of heaven is watching to see what we do with the Spirit of God (the Kingdom of God) in us! Will we follow Matthew 10:7-8? Will we freely take what we have received (the resurrection power of the Kingdom, of the HS), and go heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, and cast out demons? He needs to flow out of us like a river of living water (rivers literally change the landscape around them!) flowing from us to those in need of the Kingdom! Jesus said to release your peace if you are welcomed. Holy Spirit is peace (as shown by Noah releasing the dove and it came back because it found no place to rest) and He is looking to be released from us to find a place to rest on someone else. The enemy mimics this as well as demons look for a place to rest in another person as well. The Holy Spirit wants to be released (multiplied, we do not lose Him when we give Him away, He actually gives us a greater measure of Himself whenever we give Him away!) to those in need of the Kingdom!!! Understand that the enemy will come against the understanding that you are clothed with Jesus and clothed with His power. We must choose all day long to walk in that power. The enemy will come and say that you are not anointed to do what the Lord has asked you to do. That will always be the case. The reason that will always be the case is because there are two trees in the Garden. If we do not have a choice to believe God, then there is no reward for choosing His will, His ways, His Word, and His Kingdom. We can choose to eat of the Tree of Life and gain the reward of God, His life in us and through us, or we can choose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and get death. If we are called to a healing ministry, what happens when someone is not healed? Do we question the calling we all have to heal the sick? Do we question the anointing? Or do we continue believing God and receive more life and see our faith and power grow in spite of the times we did not see what we wanted to see happen. It should just motivate us more to get back into His presence, get more anointing, get a fresh Word from Him, and get back out on the streets with the anointing!! Jesus is our breakthrough! Page 8 of 10

1. His work on the cross broke through our sin, our disease, our poverty, and our spiritual death. 2. His blood broke through the veil of the Holy of Holies, gave us protection, gives us life. Wake up! I can allow the pain of my failures and circumstances to make me miserable and keep me asleep, or I can cause the pain of my suffering and the pain of the suffering I see around me that I seem to not have answers for or anointings to break their yoke to drive me into the secret place with the God who loves me (and them) so much that He will give me answers if I just seek Him! He is a rewarder of those who seek Him! Wake up out of our slumber! As Isaiah 60 says, wake up or arise out of the depression and prostration that circumstances have kept us in and get in the secret place until the glory of the Lord rises upon me!! Then the nations will come to the light! The glory will be seen on me!!! Quit focusing on all your problems and the problems of the world and the problems of those closest to you and get in the secret place and get the Answer!! Then, once you get the answer and the anointing, go take a risk by ministering that answer to someone!! If it doesn t work, get back into the secret place until it does!! Sometimes it will take several doses of faith and anointing before we have the anointing that will break the yoke. Remember that even the disciples got stumped one time while trying to cast out a demon and Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith and then told them to get back into the secret place (this comes out only by prayer and fasting) until their faith and anointing is strong enough to remove the mountain (cast out the demon they were stumped by). Bill Johnson, Most of what you need in life will be brought to you, most of what you want in life you have to go get. Jesus did not fast and pray for a demon to be cast out, He fasted and prayed for a supernatural lifestyle so when faced with demons He was already full of faith and anointing and was ready for every circumstance and situation! Jump in the tub! Get washed in the blood and in the water of His word. Soak in His Presence!! Worship Him! Praise Him! Thank Him!! Stay your mind on Him! Fix your eyes on Jesus! Meditate on Him and His word and ways and His goodness and greatness! Set your minds on things above, set your affections on Kingdom things! Soak and glory in Who He is! Jesus is such a lover that as soon as we turn our affection toward Him He runs to us! The Holy Spirit flows out of an authentic relationship with Jesus. It is not a sin to watch tv, to do something besides hang out with Jesus. The problem is that there is just no reward from heaven for that stuff. We must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him (the first and greatest reward for seeking Him is finding Him! He is our exceeding great reward!). It seems like every time I choose to spend time with Him instead of watching tv or whatever, I receive a spiritual reward or a tangible reward. Why is that? It is because that is what that verse says! That is why our times of fasting from entertainment have been so powerful, because we chose to earnestly seek Him and were rewarded by Him accordingly!! Develop a relationship of intimacy with Jesus outside the realm of ministry. Bill Johnson reminds us that one who is professional at intimacy is called a prostitute. Let s not prostitute our relationship with the Lord to just what He can do through our ministry. Let s become intimate with Him because he is our Savior, the lover of our souls, and the One Page 9 of 10

who eagerly desires our fellowship! Eventually, ministry will come out of that intimacy. It should never be reversed where intimacy comes out of ministry. It is in this secret place of intimacy that you will kill the lions and the bears and no one will see it, but it is then that the Lord can trust you to kill Goliaths in public. Can we go after things in the secret place of intimacy and be content to win secret victories that no one else sees just so you can give Him glory and honor and praise? Page 10 of 10
