WELCOME All members of the College are warmly invited to use the Chapel as a place for quiet reflection, prayer and worship. People of all faiths and none are welcome. The services are conducted according to the rites of the Church of England, but everyone of whatever faith is welcome to attend, and Christians of every denomination are welcome to receive Holy Communion. We have a worldclass choir and all the services are also open to the public. The Dean of Divinity is the Revd Dr Jonathan Arnold, who is an Anglican Priest. He is happy to meet and talk to everyone in College at any time, so do not hesitate to contact him about all kinds of matters. He can be called on in Cloisters 4:2 without appointment. THE ADDISON SOCIETY Every Monday lunchtime from 12.30 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. The Addison Society meets in the Dean of Divinity s rooms (Cloisters 4:2) for a free lunch to talk about God, ethics, faith, doubt, the bible or just life. This term we shall be discussing many of these issues through contemporary films. All are welcome to this open, non-judgmental and frank discussion group. If you are interested in joining this group then please speak to, or email, the Dean of Divinity or just come along. The Addison Society Dessert and Discussion Evening The Society Dessert and Discussion Evening is open to all members of College and provides a forum to discuss ethical, social and religious issues. This term the Society meets after formal hall at 8.30pm on Wednesday 8th November (fifth week) in the Summer Common Room (free of charge). The speaker is Jayne Ozanne, writer, broadcaster and LGBTI campaigner. She will be speaking on Does religious belief encourage LGBTI hate crime? THE STOKESLEY SOCIETY This informal group meets weekly in term, to eat lunch and have a friendly argument about some topic of general interest. Tuesdays at 1.00 pm in the Old Practice Room. WHO S WHO The Verger is Joan Jones, who assists the clergy in the administration of worship, the maintenance of the Chapel, and the ministry of welcome. The Sacristans are Kyle Butcher, Alastair Reith and Kathryn King. They are always happy to train up fellow-students who would like to be altar servers.
