Sarah and Jeremy Pearsons IMPACT INTERVIEWS Phoenix Gospel Truth Conference 2018 At every Gospel Truth Conference, attendees share amazing testimonies about God s love, grace, and power. The 2018 Phoenix Gospel Truth Conference was certainly no exception. Read the healing journey of one Andrew Wommack Ministries partner who triumphed over acute myeloid leukemia. Find out how another walked after twenty-five years in a wheelchair. Let their stories and others confirm the truth in your own heart: with God, nothing shall be impossible! Vicki and Richard Nelson Freedom, CA Vicki: I m a corporate secretary for our company. Richard: I am a research scientist. We have a company that we started in 1985 called Plant Sciences Incorporated. Now, some thirtyplus years later, we have over 500 employees, and at harvest time, that grows to nearly 1,500 employees. God has just really blessed us. How did you become acquainted with Andrew Wommack Ministries? Richard: Andrew first came into our lives by Vicki s dad, who had seen him on television. Vicki and I have a granddaughter, Natalie, who had an autoimmune disease and had been in and out of doctors offices and hospitals for years. They had finally just given up on ever being able to find an answer to the issues. Vicki s dad called and said, You should take Natalie to one of Andrew Wommack s conferences. So, our son and daughter-in-law took Natalie to Florida to one of Andrew s seminars. Natalie was totally, miraculously, and perfectly healed at that meeting, and that was our first introduction to this ministry, in 2009. Vicki: We met Andrew personally about four years ago. We had questions for him. We attended one of these seminars here in Phoenix. They invited us to be part of the breakfast, and we were able to sit next to Andrew and talk to him at length.

I never doubted, and I never spoke death. And like Andrew teaches, I never went and studied all the things that can go wrong. Have you been healed or had a significant life change through one of Andrew s teachings? Vicki: Andrew talks about how life and death are in the power of the tongue. That s been really a positive influence in my life. I was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia) on December 15, 2014. Shortly after that, Andrew called us on the phone, and he prayed for me from Psalm 118:17: You shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. That was very powerful, and it goes along with all his teaching about speaking life and not death. I never doubted, and I never spoke death. And like Andrew teaches, I never went and studied all the things that can go wrong. I never looked any of those details up. My husband wanted me to read some of those, and I said, No, I m going to be just fine without them. Patience is the main thing I had to go through, being patient and depending on the Lord, having faith enough to depend on the Lord for the end result. Stanford Medical Center was involved, but the Lord is our healer, and that s where my healing came from. I m thankful to both. I did get a bone marrow transplant from a twenty-year-old who had signed up as an eighteenyear-old. Out of 24 million people, she was the only one in the bank who matched me. Everything went smoothly and perfectly, and today I m whole. Richard: I don t think Vicki had ever been sick a day in her life. To wake up one day and find that she had acute myeloid leukemia and the doctors had given her six weeks to live... Based on my background as a scientist, I immediately went to study what it was she had, and I learned that the statistics were horrible. She said, Don t tell me any of the numbers. I don t want to know. I m just going to get well. I walked in one morning, and I was a bit down. I said, Vicki, maybe we won t even be together at Christmas this year. She looked at me and said, Where are you going? That was a real turnaround for me, and I began then to trust more and more in God s healing power. I learned to walk more deeply in faith, and that s what I learned from Andrew: to not lose hope. I just buried myself in becoming more and more a believer in God s goodness, His love, and His healing power in Vicki s life. What does partnership with Andrew Wommack Ministries mean to you? Richard: To be a partner with Andrew is an opportunity to bring the message of salvation through Jesus Christ in a much greater means and geography than what we could ever do on our own. To be a part of that is really exciting. We have learned through the years to hold lightly to what God has placed in our hands and to just let it pass through. We came into this world without a dime, and we re going out without a dime. To pass through what God blesses us with, to make God s Word known as broadly as we possibly can, to speak the message of God s love and grace to as many folks as we can, it s just been a great joy. That s been our personal joy to experience by partnering with Andrew. Vicki: Thank you, Andrew and Jamie, for a marvelous ministry. Richard: Thank you so much. You and Jamie have been such an encouragement to us. The question in my mind is, Where would we be today without Andrew Wommack Ministries? You have been an influence, through God s goodness and grace, in the lives of so many. We, in particular, thank you for it.

Alyssa Witzig Scottsdale, AZ Tell us about yourself. I go to Charis Bible College Phoenix. It s kind of a drive, but it s really worth it. I work at a childcare. I ve worked there for three years. What is your favorite teaching of Andrew s, and how has it impacted you? You ve Already Got It! is a good one. It was just really eye-opening. With Jesus living inside you, you already have it all. You don t need anything more or anything less. You just have to tap into that. How has being a Charis student impacted your life? Charis has impacted me tremendously. Just being immersed in the Word, the truth, the Gospel, Jesus, how much God loves me it has just set me free and changed my life. It s like this is actually what I ve been looking for my whole life, and I finally got it. Carrie Pickett is one of my favorite [instructors]. Her whole teaching on how much God loves you is just amazing. How are you enjoying the conference? What do you like about it? This is my first time going to a Gospel Truth Conference, and it s been an awesome experience. It s so cool being with like-minded people and just praising and worshiping and hearing the truth. The speakers are all preaching the same thing, but different sides. They all bring something different to the table, but it s the same table. I would like to thank Andrew for everything he s done, for speaking the truth point-blank. It s a true testimony to other believers and to people who aren t believers that God is an awesome God and can do amazing things in anyone s life. Derek DeYoung Prescott Valley, AZ I am an electrician, mostly industrial and commercial. I ve done custom homes as well. Well, I got myself into a little bit of trouble in the past, and right before I happened to go and serve a sentence, I saw Andrew Wommack on TBN. I really liked him. I knew that I was going through some rough times, and I was just trying to get closer to God. When I got in, I would see Andrew on the Gospel Truth early in the morning when I woke up. I really loved his teaching on right believing. He really got me through the times in there.

What is your favorite teaching of Andrew s, and how has it impacted you? His teaching You ve Already Got It! helped me to realize that I already have the authority. I already have everything that Jesus has to offer. It s not something I have to ask Him for or get from Him, because it s already available to me. You just thank Him for it and believe that it s already been given. Knowing that I ve already got everything I need, it s just helping me stay focused on the now, not on my past. Have you experienced a significant life change through Andrew s ministry? Andrew Wommack really helped me to understand what it means to be a believer and to have a relationship with the Lord. In the situation that I was in, being incarcerated, I just knew that there had to be something more. It s about renewing your mind daily, just staying focused, and being in close relationship with God, talking with Him throughout the whole day. Reading the Word every day was a big thing too. I just got rooted and grounded in God s love while I was incarcerated. Toward the end of the sentence, I heard about this conference. I said, God, I really want to go to this conference. My out day wasn t until March 2. I just happened to get out the day before this conference. It was truly a miracle. How are you enjoying the conference? Seeing Andrew Wommack in person is just amazing. It s a lot different than seeing him on TV. He s a teacher that I ve looked up to, and going to his conference here in Glendale, it s just really cool, really heartwarming. I just want to thank you, Andrew, for your teachings. They ve really enlightened me. Just knowing that I already have it, knowing my believer s authority, and knowing not to limit God and settle for anything less than His best, it s really made an impact on my life. Thank you. Duane Reichert Phoenix, AZ I m the marketing servant at Radio KASA. Pastor Moises Herrera founded the radio station twenty-four years ago and is the pastor of La Hermosa Church, which is the second largest Latino church in the valley. There were a few low points in my life when I turned on TBN. There was a man on there coming from a log cabin in Colorado. He wore blue jeans and talked in everyday language, telling me that God had a plan for my life. It stuck with me. How has Andrew s ministry impacted you? Andrew s got the plain principle that God picks the least to do the most. He just tells the Bible like it is, and I guess that s the thing I like about him.

Every time I ve seen Andrew, he s the same. He s got the same smile and the same testimony. Andrew, I thank the Lord for you and your straight talk on the Gospel. Thank you for the straight truth and just being that good ol boy from Texas that God made you into and for the easy way that you lead people to Christ. Charlene Bartell Sun City, AZ I used to be in sales for a short period of time. Most of the time I ve been a homemaker and a wife, mother, and grandmother. I was bedridden. I happened to change the channels, and I saw Andrew and heard him and thought, He knows what he s talking about. This wasn t very long after his son had died and was raised from the dead. That helped me in two ways: It helped me to start believing that I could get out of a wheelchair. And it helped me, when crisis came, to believe that God could raise the dead. What was life like before and after receiving Andrew s teaching on healing? Well, I was raised to believe that God did not heal unless He got around to it, and it wasn t always His will to heal. Andrew s teaching just turned my whole belief system around to where I believed I could get up and walk again. I had been in a wheelchair since I was thirty. That was around twenty-five years ago. I started believing that it was a possibility, that God could do it, but I hadn t listened to Andrew long enough to be able to just get up myself. I was in a meeting, and my son wheeled me up to the front. A couple prayed for me for about a half an hour, and I knew that I knew that I knew that I was healed before I ever got out of the wheelchair. I said, Can I get up and walk? They said, Sure! If you feel you can walk, get up and walk! I got up and walked back and forth across the auditorium platform. Each step was stronger and stronger, back and forth. I was totally healed, and the doctors didn t even really know what was wrong with me. They called it an undiagnosable neurological disease. I ve never gone back to the wheelchair from that moment on. The doctors just are amazed. Andrew s teaching was so wonderful, and it affected every area of my life. Then I started believing for greater things, and it s just been wonderful. What is your favorite teaching of Andrew s, and how has it impacted you? God Wants You Well, and probably several of his teachings where he talks about his son who was resurrected from the dead. That gave me faith to know that God s the same to every one of us. When my son found my husband dead, I walked in, prayed for him, and he was raised from the dead. I had not known how to pray. I just commanded it to be so, and he started breathing, moving around, talking. He had been pronounced dead by the paramedics. God never put sickness on me. That was Satan. God never wants us sick in any way, shape, or form, and we can trust in that absolutely.

Andrew, thank you so much for you and Jamie starting this ministry and the blessing it s been to our lives. Your teaching has affected us and the people around us. Your teaching is what raised my husband from the dead. I would be a widow. So, I just thank you for every step you take. Bruce Carlson Oracle, AZ Tell us about yourself. I am an evangelist and Bible teacher, and I m part of Sweet Bread Ministries. I do a lot of prison work. Right now I m involved in five prisons. The odd thing is, I ve never been imprisoned. But somehow, I relate to the guys, and they just relate to me. That s probably where I ve seen the power of God, the signs and wonders, and extraordinary miracles the most, more so than in the churches. I first heard of Andrew Wommack twelve years ago. We were having moderate success in the healing ministry. Some of the principles we taught were similar to Andrew s, but it seemed that with his books and his teaching, it clarified things more. Jesus has already done it all at the cross. I realized that I didn t have to get God in a headlock to get Him to do something. I already had the authority in His name to do what I was trying to squeeze out of Him. That s a big difference. I realized that I didn t have to get God in a headlock to get Him to do something. I already had the authority in His name to do what I was trying to squeeze out of Him. What is your favorite teaching of Andrew s, and how has it impacted you? You ve Already Got It! I think that s an eye-opener to a lot of people. It s like the example Andrew uses of a dog chasing its tail. The dog is surprised when he chomps down on it and realizes that it s already his. Back to the headlock thing, we re trying to squeeze something out of Jesus when He says it s already ours. Andrew s ministry just encouraged me that healing really is in the Bible. It is Jesus s way. I ve seen some extraordinary miracles, and the main one is actually on television. It s about Bruce Van Natta. He was crushed by a logging truck. Twelve thousand pounds came down on him right to the concrete. It broke part of his spine and severed five arteries under his heart. He should ve been dead within a minute. He wrote a book, Saved by Angels. Two angels with their hands on his chest and the paramedic were working on him. Three times he went up to the ceiling. Three times he came back into his body. He was living in Rudolph, Wisconsin, and I had met him for a half hour a year earlier through another acquaintance. I got woken up in New York, and God said to me, Go pray for the man in Wisconsin. I said to my wife, I must be hearing things. The next morning I heard the same thing: Go pray for the man in Wisconsin. So, I went. When I finally got to Bruce s bed, he looked like he d just gotten out of a concentration camp. He was just skin and bones. I wouldn t have recognized him if he had been able to walk by. There were other people in the room. I got to pray after we worshiped a little bit.

I put my hand on his head. He said that he felt like he got hit by a cattle prod. Electricity went right through him. He looked at someone in the room and said, I feel like a snake is unraveling in my belly. They retested him the next day. He had eleven feet of brand-new intestines, and intestines don t regenerate. It was a creative miracle. I realize now that God wanted to hook us up to work together. How are you enjoying the conference? What do you like about it? I am enjoying the conference very much, and the teachings are great. Jeremy Pearsons is very strong at a young age. It s been very good, and we appreciate it. This is our first Andrew Wommack conference, so we plan on coming back to keep being taught. A disciple means a learner, and I don t want to be a duh-sciple, so I want to keep learning. Andrew, I want to thank you for all your hours of study. So many of us benefit from it, and you save us a lot of time. We can get to the meat of things much quicker and be able to dispense it to others faster. It bounces from you to other teachers and preachers, and then it just multiplies. It s a good thing. Thank you. Verbal testimonies have been transcribed and edited for length and clarity.
