THE CHALLENGE OF REMAINING FAITHFUL HWOF BIBLE CLASS November 29, 2016 GALATIONS 6:1-10 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden. 6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. VERS 9
AND LET US NOT BE WEARY IN WELL DOING: FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP, IF WE FAINT NOT. WE ARE GIVEN THE WORD OF INSTRUCTION IN REV 2:10 BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH AND I WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE. FAITHFULNESS PAYS OFF ROYALY, THIS IS THE REASON THE ENEMY THROWS SO MANY OBSTACLES IN OUR WAY BECAUSE HE KNOWS THE REWARD OF FAITHFULNESS AND HE ALSO KNOWS HOW MUCH YOU WILL
REJOICE AT THE MOMENT YOU RECEIVE YOUR JUST REWARD. PASTOR HAROLD ROBERTSON HAS LOST 96 POUNDS AND HAS A GOAL OF GETTING TO 100 POUNDS AND RUNNING IN THE MARATHON. I ASKED HIM HOW OLD HE WAS AND HE SAID 49. I THEN ASKD HOW MANY MILES DO YOU RUN A DAY HE TOLD ME HE WORKS OUT TWICE A DAY WALKING OR DOING 20 MILES A DAY
I WOULD LOVE TO LOSE 100 POUNDS THE FIRST THING I SAID WAS THERE IS NO WAY I CAN DO 20 MILES A DAY HE SAID START WITH ONE ONE OF THE FIRST CHALLENGE THAT WE HAVE BEING FAITHFUL IS THE EXCUSES THAT WE OFFER ROMANS 2:1 THEREFORE THOU ART INEXCUSABLE O MAN
EXCUSES ARE MONUMEMTS OF NOTHINGNESS, THEY BUILD BRIDGES TO NOWHERE. THOSE WHO USE THESE TOOLS OF INCOMPETENCE, SELDOM BECOME ANYTHING BUT NOTHING AT ALL. THE DAY OF EXCUSES IS OVER IF YOU FIND YOURSELF MAKING MORE EXCUSES INSTEAD OF FULFILLING EXPECTATIONS, IT IS TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE.
EXCUSES ARE ONLY DETERRENTS TO DREAMS; THEY STEAL AND DESTROY. WHEN YOU EXPECT TO SUCCEED, TO WIN, EVERY OBSTACLE CAN BE OVERCOME AND NO CHALLENGE IS TOO GREAT. STOP LOOKING TO FAIL OR SEEKING A WAY OUT. CHALLENGES WILL ARISE BUT EXPECT TO FIND A SOLUTION. AS A MAN THINKETH, SO IS HE.
FOCUS YOUR ENERGY ON EXPECTING TO BE GREAT, EXPECTING TO WIN, EXPECTING TO SUCCEED. YOU ARE GREATER THAN YOUR EXCUSES AND YOU CONTROL YOUR DESTINY. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE FAITHFUL? IT MEANS BEING LOYAL CONSTANT, STEADFAST FIRM IN ADHERENCE TO WHATEVER ONE OWES ALLEGIANCE
FAITHFUL IMPLIES UNSWERVING ADHRENCE TO A PERSON OR THING OR TO THE OATH OR PROMISE BY WHICH A TIE WAS CONTRACTED. A CHALLENGE TO FAITHFULNESS MATT:25:14-30 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to
another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap
where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with

MATT 24:45-51
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. IN THE SERMON ON THE MOUNTAIN JESUS CALLED HIS DISCIPLES TO A RADICAL FAITH. NOW HE CHALLENGES US TO EXPRESS THAT FAITH IN RADICAL FAITHFULNESS.
BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES A FEW QUESTIONS WHAT IS THE REWARD OF FAITHFULNESS? WHAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITHFULNESS? WHAT IS THE PUNISHMENT FOR UNFAITHFULNESS? WHAT IS THE REWARD OF FAITHFULNESS?
I COR 4:2 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. COLOSSIANS 3:22-25 22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
