Religious Education News Dear parishioners, Our Fall Religious Education Program begins this month on September 18th! St. John Paul II stated that the parish should be a welcoming family home (Catechesi Tradendae, 67) and we are so very blessed at Sacred Heart to have and be just that. Our program provides an additional source of welcoming to our children, as they learn more about the family of faith of which they are a part. If you need to register your child for classes, please call us at 609-267-6319 or email rel.ed@parishofsacredheart.org. We offer classes on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45 for grades 1 st through 8 th, and do our best to place children on the day which works best for the family. We also always welcome new volunteers and are especially looking for catechists (classroom teachers) and catechist aides. You do not need to have teaching experience or a background in theology to be a catechist! Our catechists come from a variety of backgrounds but what they all have in common is a generosity of heart in wanting to hand on the Catholic faith to our children. Our catechists receive guidance and support from our Religious Education staff, from our community of catechists and volunteers, and through learning opportunities offered at the parish and Diocesan levels.
