Getting to know Israel... Israel is a country in West Asia, situated at the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. It shares land borders with Lebanon to the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan on the east, the Palestinian territories (which are claimed by the State of Palestine and are partially controlled by Israel) comprising the West Bank and Gaza Strip to the east and west, respectively, and Egypt to the southwest. Day 1 Arrival, Madaba, Mt. Nebo Assemble at Changi International Airport in the evening to begin an amazing and deeply enriching journey of the life and ministry of Jesus,that will take you to places mentioned in the Bible. Arrive at Amman airport. Visit Mt. Nebo where according to the book of Deuteronomy, Moses has seen the promise land that God has for the Children of Israel. Proceed to Madaba, a city best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, especially a large Byzantine-era mosaic map of The Holy Land. Drive to Petra and check in to your hotel for dinner & overnight. (-/L/D) 4
Day 2 Petra, Amman (B/L/D) After breakfast we spend the day visiting the beautiful Rose-red city of Petra, and even enjoy horseback riding. In the afternoon, drive to Amman that offers the old and new city, and the great story behind its walls. Check in to your hotel for din n er & over n i g ht. 5
Day 3 Tel Megiddo, Mount Tabor, Yardenit, Tiberias (B/L/D) After Breakfast, we will drive to the border and cross over to Israel at Allenby Bridge, where you will be met by your local guide and bus driver for the rest of your Israeli portion of the tour. Proceed to Megiddo (Armageddon), one of King Solomon s chariot cities. Then we drive to Mount Tabor which is located in the Jezreel Valley. On the top of this mountain, Jesus transfigured and Elijah and Moses appeared to him. End the day at the Yardenit, where the Jordan River flows into the Sea of Galilee. This spot is close to the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Check in to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner & overnight. 6
Day 4 Caesarea, Muhraka, Nazareth, Cana (B/L/D) After Breakfast we will begin the tour in Caesarea, a city dating back to the Roman era, which constituted its regional capital and functioned as a port city. In the city, we would travel by foot along the archaeological sites of the city including the port, the hippodrome and the mesmerizing amphitheater - once the cultural hub for ancient Roman life and nowadays hosts concerts held by top Israeli and international artists. Continue to Muhraka, where Elijah confronted the priests of Baal, overview of Jezreel Valley & Megiddo. On to visit the city of Nazareth, an Arab city in the Galilee with many Churches and Monasteries, where Jesus grew to manhood. Continue to the village of Cana, the site of the First Miracle for Renewal of Marriage Vows. Back to Tiberias for dinner & overnight. 7
Day 5 Mt. Beatitudes, Tabgha, Capernaum, Boat Museum + Ride (B/L/D) After breakfast visit Mt. Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount, Tabgha the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication, and Capernaum on the northwest shore where Jesus began his preaching career. Visit the Boat Museum to see the Jesus boat - a fishing boat dating back to the 1st century AD. End our stay with a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee, with the Time for reflection and prayer. This will be another day of placing the scriptures into context. Return to hotel for dinner & overnight. 8
Day 6 Jericho, Masada, Qumran, Dead Sea (B/L/D) After Breakfast we will leave Galilee and we begin the long journey down the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest and lowest inhabited city in the world. Proceed to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. You will have the chance to experience floating in the waters of the Dead Sea, which have amazing healing powers. Drive to Masada, ascend to the Hilltop Fortress by Cable Car to view the ruins of Herod s palace and fortifications which later served the Zealots to resist the Romans. Descend by Cable Car. Check in to your hotel for dinner & overnight. 9

Day 7 Mount Scopus, City Of David, Bethlehem, Sound & Light (B/L/D) Today we start our journey to the Holy City. Drive up the desert road to holy Jerusalem, stopping first at Mount Scopus for a traditional greeting and our first sight of the Holy City. Visit the City Of David, the oldest settled neighborhood of Jerusalem and a major archaeological site due to recognition as biblical Jerusalem. There we will see Warren Shaft, that was thought to have been the centerpiece of the city s early water supply system, since it would have enabled the city s occupants to safely reach fresh water in times of siege; Hezekiah s Tunnel, a tunnel that was dug underneath the City of David in Jerusalem in ancient times; & the Pool of Siloam, a rock-cut pool on the southern slope of the City of David. The pool is mentioned several times in the Bible, and it is mentioned in the Gospel of John as the location to which Jesus sent a man blind from birth in order to complete the healing of the man. In the afternoon we drive to Bethlehem where we will visit Shepherds Field. Visit the Olive Wood carvers before returning to Jerusalem. Check in to your hotel for dinner. After dinner visit the Sound & Light show at the Citadel. Back to the hotel for overnight. 14
Day 8 Mt. Of Olives, Western Wall, Mt. Zion, Gallicantu (B/L/D) This morning we will drive up to the Mt. Of Olives; visit the Church of Dominus Flevit; Walk the traditional Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the church of All Nations. Visit the Western Wall, the holiest site of the Jewish nation and Mt. Zion, with King David s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper. Visit the church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas. We begin to encounter the Passion of our Lord. Here Jesus was held on the night of his trial and here Peter denied Him as He was mocked and beaten. Have some free Time for shopping in the late afternoon, and back to hotel for dinner & overnight. 15
Day 9 Via Dolorosa, Garden Tomb, Israel Museum (B/L/D) This morning we follow the course of the Via Dolorosa, also called the Way of the Cross. There are 14 Stations along the route each commemorating an event along Jesus route to crucifixion. We will walk through the markets of the Old City, in quiet and reflection. Proceed to the Garden Tomb, a sanctuary in the bustle of the City, enjoying the quiet and giving thanks for His resurrection. Later we spend time at the Israel Museum and the scale model of 70 B.C Jerusalem. Return to hotel for dinner & overnight. 16
Day 10 Yad Vashem, Ein Karem, Abu Gosh, Market (B/L/D) After Breakfast we will tour the new city of Jerusalem: View the Knesset, the Israeli parliament on the way to Yad Vashem, the Jewish Holocaust museum. On to Ein Karem for a visit to the birth place of John the Baptist. Proceed to the Arab village of Abu Gosh to visit the magnificent church of resurrection. In the evening we will visit the Jerusalem market and Ben Yehuda Street for the flavor of contemporary Jerusalem. Return to hotel for dinner & overnight. 17
Day 11 Elah Valley, Jerusalem at Leisure (B/L/D) After breakfast, continue to The Valley of Elah, best known as the place described in the Bible where the Israelites were encamped when David fought Goliath. Visit Beit Guvrin- Maresha National Park, encompassing the ruins of Maresha, one of the important towns of Judah during the time of the First Temple, and Beit Guvrin, an important town in the Roman era, when it was known as Eleutheropolis. Archaeological artifacts unearthed at the site include a large Jewish cemetery, a Roman- Byzantine amphitheater, a Byzantine church, public baths, mosaics and burial caves and the amazing bell caves. The rest of the day at leisure to Explore Jerusalem, re-visit sites on your one and absorb the city s special atmosphere. Return to hotel for dinner & overnight. 18
