May 2015 Sherwood Baptist Church Volume 13, No. 5 FROM A PASTOR S HEART By: Brother Bruce Worrell Romans 13:10 Love is the fulfillment of the law. Welcome Brother Bruce Worrell By: Brett Schelin On Sunday, April 19, the Church made a unanimous decision to call Bruce Worrell as the Interim Pastor for Sherwood Baptist Church, which he accepted. I ask that the Church do the following: 1. Pray for Brother Bruce and his wife Gloria as he leads us during this Interim period; 2. Brother Bruce cannot do it alone and he will need your help. Pray for the Lord to guide you on how you can help Brother Bruce and serve His Church. 3. Continue to be faithful in attending the Worship Services and other ministries and the giving of your Tithes and Offerings. 4. Share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Invite someone to come and be a part of His Church. Love is 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is 1. Love is patient. Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like punching your foot to the floor. Steve Cranfield 2. Love is kind. A kind face, a kind heart and a kind life now that is the kind of person we should be. Steve Cranfield 3. Love does not envy. Love asks, What is best for Thee? not What s in it for me? Steve Cranfield 4. Love does not boast. I d like to pat some people on the back but their hand is always in the way. Steve Cranfield 5. Love is not rude. Love lets its object walk through the door first without thought of being walked on. Steve Cranfield 6. Love does not seek its own. Pride says, I ll do it my way. Love says, I ll do it Thy way. Steve Cranfield 7. Love is not irritable. When we irritate others we call it jesting. When others irritate us we call it stupidity. We are most irritated when we are most selfish. Steve Cranfield 8. Love does not take into account a wrong suffered. Father forgive them was HIS cry. Father punish them and let them die is OUR cry. Steve Cranfield 9. Love does not rejoice in iniquity. It is hateful to God and His glory to promote, to aid or find joy in the sinfulness of others. Steve Crandall 10. Love rejoices in truth. The things that receive heaven s applause should receive mine. Steve Cranfield 11. Love bears all things. Love holds us up when life tries to get us down. Steve Cranfield 12. Love believes all things. If it is in the realm of possibility, love gives the other person the benefit of the doubt. Steve Cranfield Continued on page 4

Page 4 LOVE IS Continued from Page 1 13. Love hopes all things. Hope is the confident expectation that our invisible God will do visible things for His glory and our best. Steve Cranfield 14. Love endures all things. Love lasts past the ages, faith and hope are its gauges, still alive at the end of pages, the death of Christ paid the wages. Steve Cranfield You Are Loved! Brother Bruce
