One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4 WELCOME: We welcome you to our worship and fellowship today. To God be the glory! And may we be richly blessed! Please join us after the morning service for a time of refreshment in the Fellowship Hall. Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning, we welcome Mr. Nathan Nieuwendorp to our pulpit. Nathan is a member of Inwood CRC and has been licensed to exhort by Classis Iakota. His sermon, Preach the Word, comes from 2 Timothy 3:10-4:8. Welcome to Nathan, his wife Jacklyn, and their newborn baby, Lydia! This evening, Pastor Drew continues with the third message in a series on parenting. As Christian prophets, priests and kings, what does Parenting as a Priest look like? The main job of a priest was to help the people deal with their guilt, and so how does a parent help their child deal with guilt? Job 1:1-5 and Romans 15:14-16 demonstrate the good news of our Great High Priest and the good calling of a Christian priestly parent. OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS Evening Communion Service: Please note that next Sunday evening, we will be celebrating the sacrament of communion together. In this week, be mindful of God s words: A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 1 Corinthians 11:28-29. Evening Song Service-Anyone interested in doing the evening song service, please contact Karla Overweg @ 680-4848.
