Narrators begin center stage side by side wearing sunglasses. 1: (Removes glasses) We re on a mission; 2: (Removes glasses) A mission from God. 1: It s a mission of extreme urgency. 2: It s a mission of purpose. 1: Are you ready for the mission? You re in this too, you know. 2: Oh, yeah. If you re a child of God, this mission has got your name written all over it. 1: No casual bystanders here; lives are at stake. 2: Spiritual lives. 1: Will you accept the mission? 2: Can you be sent? 1 and 2 bow and begin mini-scene one. 1: In the year that King Uzziah died, 2: A year with many questions on the minds of the people: 1: Did our love and confidence in our earthly king cause us to forget our true King? 2: What does the future hold? 1: Where is our hope and security? 2: Questions asked 2300 years ago, but frighteningly similar to questions asked today. 1: Isaiah saw the Lord seated on a throne high and exalted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2: Above Him were seraphs; 1: Burning snakes with six wings. 2: With two wings they covered their faces, 2

1: With two they covered their feet, 2: And with two they were flying. 1: Flying, burning snakes. What a sight! 2: And they were calling to one another... 1: This is the coolest part! 2 &1: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, (Narrator 1 repeats this same line, as in a round) the whole earth is full of His glory. 1: At the sound of their voices the doorposts and doorways shook and the temple was filled with smoke. 2: True worship in action. 1: Shaking buildings, loud voices, and God on the throne; this is good. 2: Then Isaiah cried out: 1: Woe to me! I am ruined! 2: Hopeless, 1: alone, 2: destined for hell. 1: For I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips. 2: Isaiah knew that his worship and service and that of his people would never honor God, 1: because of unclean lips: 2: hatred, 1: disunity, 2: lust, 1: gossip, 2: idol worship, 3

1: comfortable Christianity. 2: Isaiah continued: 1: My eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty! To read the rest of this script and perform it, download the full version at SkitGuys.com! ENDING: 1: I quickly gathered my team around me for instructions: (2 leans in close to 1) Well, dudes, go save her! 2: But, instead, excuses were heard: 1: (As a team member) She s just too far gone. 2: (As a team member) She ll find her way somehow. 1: (As a team member) What if she rejects me? 2: (As a team member) I m still in training. 1: (As a team member) I left my manual at home. 2: (As a team member) I don t have anything in common with her. 1: (Returns as a Narrator) And as the excuses continued, the little girl sank 2: (Returns as a Narrator) Deeper, 1: and deeper. 2: And she disappeared. Transition to Scene Three and return to Narrator status. 1: Whom shall I send? The question still rings. 2: Who will go for us? The call remains the same. 1: A call to go, 4

2: a call to tell, 1: the call of love. 2: The mission is clear; they need to hear that... 1: Christ came to die, so that we don t have to. 2: We can line our walls with plaques and certificates, attend workshops, even practice saving our classmates. 1: But, will we rescue the drowning? 2: Will we see? 1: The drowning guy in the locker across the hall? 2: The drowning girl in our PE class? 1: The drowning teacher who teaches biology? 2: The mission is clear, the gift is given, and no one is excused. 1 &2: Go and tell. Lights out. The end. 5
