Upcoming Events (Oct 2017) SAP SD Module Coaching in the Workplace 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Email Etiquettes Personal Grooming Highlights of September New Employee Orientation The orientation session was organized for all new joiners to help them understand how the core and support functions work at ADP. Through this orientation, they got to meet the Abu Dawood family and understand their roles and responsibilities. They were introduced to the AbuDawood Way by CLD, which acknowledges the company s mission, vision and values, greatly stressing upon integrity and honesty. A basic understanding of each function and their hierarchies were explained by different functional representatives. Offsite Conference The most heart-felt part of the offsite was the conference held on the third day at the Darbar Hotel, Hunza. It was kick started by Nael who spoke about the love for Pakistan and how we can contribute towards making it a better place. More flavors were added as the day went by including Women Empowerment by Sadaf and Nudret, and Happiness by Haroon. There was also an awards ceremony for high achievers, BP launch by HR and let s not forget the green shirts with our names and personalized messages Meet Our New Facilitators Sadaf Saad Head of IT Adnan Hussain District Manager Nudret Butt Head of Finance Humayan Javed Section Manager Umer Saeed Regional Manager This is what our Facilitators have to say. Indeed I had a great time. If I have to summarize it in 3 words. It was an Eye opening experience. On the opening day, Bahgat mentioned that there s a complete science involved behind the Learner Experience Facilitation (LXF) and by the end of 3rd day my closing comments were, I can t agree with him more. It s a very structured approach wherein each step / piece has to be well thought through, simplified as well rightly placed keeping learner (rrrrr) experience in view at all times with an aim to create a deep sustainable impact. Nudret Butt- Head of Finance I imagined the session would be about learning how to be an effective trainer. The instructor would walk us though a presentation with various theories which have been proven to be successful for conducting trainings. However when the course started; it was a huge eye opener for me. I never imagined a training/facilitation session could be conducted completely by audience engagement and participation. This itself required a lot of focus since we had to extract and retain the concepts from all the activities/simulations. Furthermore, the part where we were asked to simulate on every concept to the team helped in strengthening the concepts. Talking about my plans from this point on; this will change entirely the way I would interact with my peers, colleagues, subordinates. My concept about delivering knowledge has evolved from teaching to facilitating. I will use this learning to enable the learners with any skillset/knowledge I possess and use the acquired skill/understanding set to turn themselves into high performing individuals.
