He and his wife, Tammy, have a passion to introduce believers to Israel and the Jewish/Christian historic places throughout the Land. They live and teach the Hebraic perspective of faith in and obedience to the One True God. You will not want to miss joining them as they travel from the mountains of Judea/Samaria in the north to the Arava desert in the south. TOUR GUIDE: Hanoch Young Hanoch Young is a licensed Israeli Tour Guide, an Orthodox Jew, who is known for building bridges between people through his personal outreach. His understanding of the historical relationship between the Jewish people and all who relate to Israel is part of what he shares in his speaking tours in the United States. This fact makes him a valued guide for all Bible believers who wish to learn more and connect with the Land and people of Israel. TOUR FACILITATOR: Blossoming Rose Dr. DeWayne Coxon has planned and guided tours in Israel since the early 1980s and has travelled to Israel over 150 times since 1965. Dr. Coxon is the President of Blossoming Rose, a USA-based, non-profit organization, which is also curator of an archaeology dig at Biblical Tamar Park in Israel. He is also responsible for the management and development of the Park. This unique tour is designed to connect you to the Land of Israel, ancient and modern, to the Jewish people of today and to the God of Israel. From the hills of Samaria to the glory of Jerusalem, from the heights of the Golan to Biblical Tamar in the south you will get to experience it all. Central in this tour will be the teaching of our Orthodox Jewish guide, Hanoch Young. He is an international speaker, who is gifted in bringing Jews and Christians together. This is not your typical just go see the holy sites tour. This is a tour where you can truly connect to Israel.
.ITINERARY DAY 1: (Sunday-February 24) North America to Israel Your journey to connect to the Land of Israel begins with flights from your home airports. You will receive information prior to your departure with all the details you'll need for your Israel Coming Home Tour. All flights should be scheduled to arrive in Israel by late afternoon. DAY 2: (Monday-February 25) Ariel and Eshel HaShomron Hotel, and Mishkan (Tabernacle) Israel Guide, Hanoch, will be waiting to greet everyone at Ben Gurion Airport upon arriving in Israel. We will all meet with the rest of our group, arriving from all over the world and then we ll leave together on our bus. We'll head up to Ariel, the 'capital' of Samaria, where we'll be spending our first two nights at the lovely Eshel Hashomron Hotel. After checking in and having dinner, we'll experience the incredible full-scale model of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) on site. DAY 3: (Tuesday-February 26) Northern Samaria, Peduel, Elon Moreh, Mt. of Blessing, and Itamar Today we'll begin seeing the sites of Northern Samaria including Elon Moreh and view the site where Abraham received the promise. Lunch will be a delicious meal coupled with a wine tasting at Tura Winery at the Har Bracha (Mt. of Blessing) Visitor s Center, and then we re off to visit Moshe and Leah Goldsmith, who will give us a tour of Itamar where we will have a great opportunity to meet with former Americans who have built a life in Samaria. DAY 4: (Wednesday-February 27) Samaria, Shiloh, Bet El, and Lev Haolam Shiloh, where the Mishkan (Tabernacle) stood for 369 years, will be our next stop. We will visit the Shiloh Children's Fund led by its founder, David Rubin. From there, we ll go to the actual ruins of ancient Shiloh to stand in the place of history. Next we will visit with the inspiring Nati Rom, founder of Lev Haolam, and learn about how we can support the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. We will be leaving Samaria to spend our first night in Jerusalem! DAY 5: (Thursday February 28) Jerusalem, Kotel Tunnels, Davidson Center, Mt. of Olives, and Yad Vashem Our first full day in Jerusalem will begin with some personal prayer time at the Western Wall and an inspiring tour of the Kotel (Western Wall) Tunnels. We will visit the Davidson Center and the excavations of the Southern steps of the Temple Mount. While we re in the area of the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Shorashim Shop where the renowned Moshe Kempinski will talk to our group. From there,
we ll move on to meet with the first Jew to have a home in the Old City after 1967 and his amazing art studio. After dinner, we ll go back to Ben Yehuda Street for some shopping and a true Israeli cultural experience. DAY 6: (Friday March 1) Temple Institute, Old City David, and Mechane Yehuda This will be a short day as Israel prepares for Shabbat. We will begin our day with a special tour of the Temple Institute and the Old City David. Following this, we ll go to the Machane Yehuda (Outdoor Market) to pick up groceries and snack food for the Shabbat. After dinner, we can wander the Old City streets or return to the Western Wall, with hundreds of Jewish worshippers, and offer prayers, leaving a bit of paper with our notes in between the huge stones that King Herod used 2000 years ago to build the Temple Mount. Shabbat has settled in on us. DAY 7: (Saturday March 2) Jerusalem, and David s Citadel Light Show Shabbat - a day of rest and a chance to renew our bodies and our spirits. After a leisurely breakfast, we will gather for our Torah study. Afterwards, the options are to walk and experience the peace of Shabbat in Jerusalem or to rest. This will be a day dedicated to celebrating the Shabbat. After the sun goes down we will visit the spectacular David s Citadel Light Show, where the virtual reality story of Jerusalem unfolds through giant breathtaking, virtual reality images! DAY 8: (Sunday March 3) Galilee, Boat Ride, Mt. of Beatitudes, Capernium, Ginossar, and Tiberias Today we will head north. We ll drive to the Galilee and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Kineret - the Sea of Galilee, from the Arbel Cliffs. From there we ll visit the ancient synagogue in Capernaum and the ancient boat at Ginossar. For those who would like, we have the option at the end of the day for a Mikvah (immersion) in the Jordan River. This will be the first of two nights in Teverya Tiberias DAY 9: (Monday March 4) Golan Heights, Peace Vista, Gamla, Katzrin, Mt. Bental, Caesarea Philippi, and Tel Dan We ll begin to tie the past, present and future together as we drive around the Southern shore of the Sea of Galilee and head toward the Golan Heights. More amazing views await us as we go to the 'Peace Vista' and have the entire Galilee laid out before our eyes. We will go to Gamla, probably one of Israel's most significant but underrated historical sites. It will enable us to have some perspective for our visit to Masada, later in our trip. From there we go to Mount Bental and Caesarea Philippi. Our day in the North will finish at Tel Dan, where we will talk about the sin of Jeroboam and its meaning for today.
DAY 10: (Tuesday March 5) Jordan Valley, Qumran, En Gedi, and Biblical Tamar Park Now it's time to head south - driving through the Jordan Valley. We'll tour Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. From there, we ll go to the incredible oasis of En Gedi, where David hid from King Saul. We'll be hiking the hills and enjoying the waterfalls - in the middle of the desert! We ll see amazing wildlife and we can take lots of pictures. From there, we ll drive to our home for the last two nights - the archaeological site of Biblical Tamar Park. DAY 11: (Wednesday March 6) Tamar, Masada, and the Dead Sea After our tour of fascinating Tamar, we ll head up to Masada where we will hear its compelling narrative. We may also be able to visit one of the possible locations of ancient Biblical Sodom. After that, we ll have time for a relaxing swim in the Dead Sea, one of the world's great wonders, followed by tree planting at Tamar. Our last night in Tamar will be a time for sharing and processing our incredible experiences in the Sukkah. DAY 12: (Thursday March 7) Jerusalem Flight from Israel to Country of Origin We ll depart Israel, leaving for home with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We ll ALWAYS be connected to Israel CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS AT TAMAR Everyone who registers for this trip is invited to extend his or her tour experience and become a Volunteer at Tamar after the tour. This low-cost experience is available for up to a maximum of 90 days. Long-term volunteers pay only $20 a day for board and room and short-term volunteers, who stay less than 30 days, pay $30 a day. Volunteers are needed in various areas such as, horticulture, cooking, housekeeping, mechanical, carpentry, and beautifying the Park. Your trip can become a true faith and works experience.
