RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and is the process by which those seeking to become Catholic are brought into the Catholic Church, most often on the Easter Vigil. St. Kilian also offers the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, adapted for Children, to those children who are not yet baptized and are between the ages of 7 and 17. All RCIA classes are held on Sunday mornings in conjunction with the 9 a.m. Mass. Please join us for: Meet & Greet event on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 6-8 p.m. The evening will include dinner and is open to adults and children interested in learning about the RCIA and possibly preparing to receive their Sacraments. We are also seeking sponsors who would like to support those desiring to become Catholic on their journey, and we need volunteers to help with weekly hospitality and events. Those who are interested in becoming Sponsors or volunteers for the RCIA are also invited to the Meet & Greet. For those who are unable to attend the Meet & Greet, there are meetings held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, where you can receive information about RCIA and have your questions answered. This year, we will kick off with a presentation of the DVD series, Divine Mercy, the Second Greatest Story Ever Told. Our mission is to help mothers raise and keep their children in the Faith. On this Faith-Hope-Life Day, we pray for emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. Just as we regularly pray for persons with physical concerns, such as cancer or heart disease, we especially pray this day for those dealing with mental health concerns and feelings of hopelessness, and for the people who love and care for them.
