Upcoming Events at Trinity All Saints Communion & Totenfest Nov. 5, 10:10 a.m. On Sunday, November 5 during the worship service we will celebrate Totenfest. We will remember and give thanks for the life of our loved ones who served God through Trinity UCC and have passed into God s glory during the past year. If you would like a family member who died during the past 12 months and was not a member of Trinity UCC named during this service, please submit the names and birth and death dates to the office 838-3805 or email them no later than Oct 30 to: trinityucc1@sbcglobal.net. During the worship service, we will lift up each name and toll the church bell as we remember in silent thanksgiving their lives and ministries among us. It is also our custom to place a rose on the altar-table in each deceased member s memory and at the close of worship, a family member may take the rose as a remembrance of the loved one. Happy Thanksgiving Trinity Family As we enter into the season of Thanksgiving we have much at Trinity to be thankful for, we have been blessed to be serving together for the last 11 months and God has showered us with so much. Our attendance has went from averaging 45 in 2016 to averaging 103 for 2017, we have started a Sunday school program that was non-existent for years and now have over 35 people and children attending every week. We started 2017 with one child attending and now we are having around 20 children a week. WOW!!! What a great God we serve and how He has answered prayers of Trinity. Please take time this year to be thankful to our Lord for all He has done in His church here at Trinity and how He continues to bless our lives. I found this poem to share with you as we enter the Thanksgiving season: Thanksgiving Beatitudes Be thankful that you don t already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you don t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you re tired and weary because it means you ve made a difference Author unknown ~3~
