PAWI 37th Biennial General Conference 2018 Greetings from the General Bishop The Conference theme Redeeming the Time. Ful illing the Mandate allows us as a fellowship to look to the future while presently engaging the work of the Lord. Contemporary times are rife with various Rev. Dr. Pat Glasgow, General Bishop kinds of carefully crafted distractions to our faith that we are hard pressed to ight. We are forced to contend with one condemning heresy after another, while social crises multiply globally. In spite of this we are called to act in the interest of the Lord Jesus Christ and His kingdom on earth, and this we intend to do. Join us as we chart a course for PAWI that will see us better prepared to address issues the bible tells us will come upon the world. The mandate must be ful illed regardless of the perilous times. This conference will look deeply into diverse facets of the theme with a view to edifying and equipping PAWI leaders to redeem the time for the days are indeed evil. Our cadre of speakers will explore biblical stratagems with missional and intentional relevance for addressing the future. Allow me to personally invite you to join us in this great work of the Lord. Your presence will allow you to partake in the outpouring of the Spirit of God and contribute to the building of the fellowship that is buoyant enough to survive the impact of the changing times. 2
PAWI 37th Biennial General Conference 2018 Celebrating the General Bishop In a time where in many ields, there are a dearth of genuine, purposeful leaders, this conference gives us the opportunity to salute our outgoing General Bishop of Pentecostal assemblies of the West Indies international. Rev. Nolan Warner - General Administrator We collectively say thanks Rev Dr. Pat Philip Glasgow who has led us with an effervescent zest, unswerving vision and unquestionable integrity over the last twelve years. Greater cohesion to the Fellowship, a purposeful inclusion of lay members to serve at all levels of the Fellowship and his uniquely simple but masterful ability to engage, encourage and edify persons throughout Christendom, are all aspects of his leadership that we will surely miss. The initiative WE PAWI caused all to closely embrace PAWI the organization, we love and invested our lives. At his side, Sis Lydia Glasgow has been and continues to be, illed with poise and openness to serve Christ whenever opportunities arose, and at times to gently but irmly push the door open. This cannot be overlooked! So, join us at this 37th Biennial General Conference to say thanks to these giants of the faith who have served us sel lessly! Let us joyfully give them their lowers of appreciation while they live, so that they can smell the aroma of our expressions. PAWI 37th Biennial General Conference 2018 Night Rally Speaker Bishop The Hon. Herro Verne Blair, OJ Bishop Herro Verne Blair is the visionary, founder and President of the Deliverance Evangelistic Association Inc., a multinational organisation with churches in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Canada and the United States of America. He is the Senior Pastor of the Faith Cathedral Deliverance Centre in Kingston, Jamaica. A devout Christian and evangelist for more than 49 years, Bishop Blair has etched his name in the annals of history, both in Jamaica and internationally, as a fearless Man of God, who proclaims his faith without fear or favour. Today, his ministry and passion for the gospel have not wavered or grown faint. He has the distinction of hosting the longest running religious television programme in Jamaica called 'Something More' (1983 2016). This, along with his radio ministry, spurred his rise to national prominence and has led him to serve his nation in various spheres such as: Political Ombudsman of Jamaica, Chairman of the Peace Management Initiative, Chairman of Transparency International (Jamaica), Member of the Consultative Committee on Crime and Violence, Member of the Board of the Institute of Jamaica, and Member of the Parole Board. Together with his wife Alma, they are the proud parents of four boys. 5
PAWI 37th Biennial General Conference 2018 Devotional Speaker Rev Joel Edwards Rev. Joel Edwards is director of advocacy at Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) an agency working for religious freedom and human rights. Rev. Edwards is also a doctoral student with St John's College, Durham where he is also Visiting Fellow. He is freelance broadcaster with the BBC, a writer and international speaker on a wide range of areas including bible teaching, issues of justice, leadership, faith and society. Joel is also involved in a small number of consultancies and personal mentoring. Joel's wide range of experiences includes 11 years as general director of the Evangelical Alliance UK and 10 years leadership in Micah Challenge International - a global faith based response to extreme poverty. Currently, he is an honorary Canon at St Paul's Cathedral, and Visiting Fellow at Spurgeon's College. Joel has been awarded three honorary doctorates including St Andrews University. He is married to Carol and they have two children and ive grandchildren. 6
PAWI 37th Biennial General Conference 2018 Plenary Speaker Rev. Dr. Michael McDowell Rev. Dr. Michael McDowell has been the Senior Pastor of Rapha Revival Ministries for the past 25 years. He has an "Earned" Doctorate in Theology (Th.D); and Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Theology from Caribbean College of the Bible I n t e r n a t i o n a l. H e h a s a l s o d o n e Undergraduate work at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Dr. McDowell is currently the President of the "International Institute of Biblical Eschatology (IIBE). Rev. McDowell is an in-demand Bible Prophecy Confetence Speaker and has ministered throughout the Caribbean; in many cities of the United States; and also in Africa; Israel; and Canada. Rev. Eppie McDowell is the wife of his youth... they have been married for 30 years and together they have two children Maresa and Mark, who are both active in ministry. 7
