MY FIRST BIBLE ACTIVITY BOOK FRIENDS OF GOD LEENA LANE AND ROMA BISHOP

Adam and Eve In the beginning, when God made the world, he made the sea and the sky and filled them with fish and birds He made animals to walk, jump and hop around on the land Finally God made a man and a woman to look after all the animals and care for the world he had made God called them Adam and Eve They lived in the beautiful Garden of Eden They were friends with God animals that you care for at school or at home caring for wild creatures such as garden birds Thank God for making the world with all its different creatures 8 7 9 6 5 10 4 3 11 12 2 13 Join the dots What is the mystery creature? Give him a patterned body and colour him in What colour is the butterfly? 14 1 How many flying fish can you count? Circle the creatures that are not in the big picture below How many ducklings are there? How many birds are there? 2 3

Noah God had made a beautiful world, but things had started to go wrong People didn t live together happily and they were cruel to each other But Noah was different Noah listened to God God told Noah to build an ark a huge boat to keep him safe when the flood covered the earth Noah did exactly what God told him to do He built the ark, then chose two of every kind of animal and put them in the ark with his family Can you draw a line between each pair of animals? Try not to touch other animals with your lines God promised never to flood the whole earth again and sent a beautiful rainbow Colour it in to complete the picture starting from the bottom: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red Then it started to rain It rained and rained and rained For forty days the rain fell until everything on the earth was covered and destroyed Only Noah and his family and all the animals were kept safe in the ark When the rain stopped and land could be seen again, God told Noah it was safe to leave the ark God filled the sky with a huge rainbow and Noah thanked God for saving him from the flood what it means to be kind to other people ways in which we can listen to God Thank God for his beautiful rainbow How many animals Tick the box next to the boat can you count? that Noah used in the flood 4 5

Abraham How to make a family chain Abraham was a man who believed what God told him One day God told Abraham to leave his home He was to take all his family and all his sheep and goats God didn t tell him where he was going until he got there! But Abraham listened to God and did just what he asked God also told Abraham that he would have as many children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren as there were stars in the sky! Abraham believed God Sure enough, his wife Sarah had a baby boy called Isaac Both Abraham and Sarah were very old when Isaac was born They called him Isaac, because it means laughter! There are ten differences between these two pictures Draw a circle round each one you can find 1 Draw boxes side by side, one box for each person in your family 2 Fold the paper along the vertical lines as shown in the picture 2 3 Cut out a person shape through all the folds of paper 3 1 Colour in the stars in the sky Count how many there are families and friends the night sky Thank God for making so many stars 4 Open out the paper and draw on faces and clothes 4 If you want you can stick on new clothes or faces 6 7
