May2017 - ACCR Sign of the Times http://www.catholiccharismatic.org.nz email aucklandccr@gmail.com mail: ACCR, Sacred Heart Church,16 Vermont St, Ak 1011 ACCR APOSTOLATE VISION To see the restoration of all the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as a normal part of Catholic Church life, and lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and develop the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all believers. ACCR APOSTOLATE MISSION STATEMENT ACCR seeks to serve the Catholic Church by being one of the agents and instruments of the Holy Spirit working for the ongoing renewal and growth of the Church today. We seek to participate with the Holy Spirit in the renewal of the Church by: Working to lead all people to a close, personal and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord of all aspects of their lives. Fostering the Baptism ( or Release) of the Holy Spirit, received in the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, as a means of deepening the work of the Holy Spirit in the Catholic Church and in the lives of individuals. Encouraging the use of the charismatic gifts as an accepted and regular part of life in the Catholic Church. Encouraging people to participate fully in the life of their parish. A Message from Anil, ACCR Chairperson Lk 24:31 Then their eyes were open and they recognised him Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, Grace mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. Once again thank you for all your efforts in spreading the kingdom. During the Easter season we hear story after story of the disciples having an encounter with the risen Lord. I am sure most of us have had some encounter with the Lord and it is the reason we continue to give day after day. How are we sharing that experience with others and helping them encounter the risen Lord? We have the discipleship schools running in various parishes in Auckland. If you have not attended one yet make it a point to find the nearest one and attend it. Then help others to attend it as well. We have the Breakthrough Concert coming up on August 19 th. Also Life in the Spirit seminars are a great way to introduce others to an experience of Jesus. If you want to run one the service group will be more than happy to help you. There is no room for complacency anymore, everyone has to take part in the work of salvation. We planned to celebrate Pentecost at the Cathedral on Monday the 5 th of June but as this is a public holiday the Cathedral is not available. We are waiting to see if any of the Jubilee events will be live streamed from Rome. Please watch out for more information. Continue to keep the renewal and the programmes in your prayers. God bless, Anil.

News from the prayer groups: Milton Pereira RIP - Jesus the Good Shepherd prayer group As many of you may be aware, Milton Pereira, went to be with the Lord on 19 March. Milton was a man of strong faith and integrity, He was part of the core team of Jesus the Good Shepherd prayer group and an integral part of the music ministry team. In his younger days Milton was a professional musician in India. He has passed on his musical talents to the family and it was wonderful to see and hear his grandchildren leading Praise and Worship before his funeral mass. Following this some of his children and their partners led the music during the mass. Milton will be remembered for his drumming at many ACCR events over the years and especially at the BreakThrough concerts. A message from Milton's family. We thank the Lord for your love, support and prayers. God bless you all. Life in the Spirit Seminar Jesus the Good Shepherd prayer group plan to run a Life in the Spirit Seminar over 8 Wednesdays evenings, 7.30 pm - 9.15 pm, beginning 23rd August (the week after the Breakthrough Concert) and ending 11th October. Happy 90 th Birthday Fr Martin Bugler. We give thanks to God for Fr Martin Bugler who supports 2 ACCR prayer groups at Milford Church, and has supported other groups in the past. He celebrates his 90 th birthday on May 10 th. May God pour his blessings on you Father Martin.
