our curricula We're impressed with our curriculum, now it's your turn! We have reformatted our curriculums to reflect a center-based style of education. All lessons are multi-sensory, and hands-on. This ensures that the students truly experience what they are being taught. The information becomes the students' own. Here is a list of what is in store for the upcoming year: ALEPH CHAMP Chabad of Bethesda Hebrew School is the only Hebrew School in the area offering the exclusive, internationally acclaimed Aleph Champ program. The curriculum incorporates color coded achievement levels (ala colored karate belts) to help motivate progress. This will ensure that, not only will your child learn to read Hebrew fluently, they will also enjoy every step of the way! LIVING WITH THE (TORAH) TIMES The Jewish people are known as the 'People of the Book' we turn to the Torah to provide lessons and insight. Study of the weekly Torah portion provides our students with practical lessons from the Parsha that apply to their daily lives. OUR HOMELAND For the length of Jewish history, our people have always felt a love and connection to the Land of Israel. We endeavor to teach our students to feel this same connection discovering all that is unique and special about the Holy Land. OUR JEWISH HEROS Our students are introduced to the great figures at the center of our History. These incredible people are brought to life and our students learn their stories and lessons to emulate while collecting hero profile cards to save in a special card album. TIME TRAVEL The students will learn about Jewish history and our beautiful culture that has been preserved throughout the ages and will lead them to discover their own place in the eternal timeline. LET'S CELEBRATE! Traditions and celebrations, exploring the Jewish Holidays and Shabbat will provide a deeper understanding for our students and help them internalize the spirit of these days. JEWISH HOME JOURNAL An engaging study of the Mitzvot and traditions that color our Jewish daily life. Our students will explore their own personal connection to Judaism
