Thank you for the prayers and support you have given us in our ministry, especially during this Christmas Season. From Hanging Rock Merry Christmas to you and your family. What a wonderful and blessed time of year to be able to share the story of Jesus birth with those who have no idea who He is. No matter where you witness to people, no matter their economic status, educational level or Biblical knowledge, they all can relate to the birth of a child. And what a great child indeed was Jesus Christ. As with any year, Hanging Rock enters this season with it's own set of unique challenges and events, yet we know Christ is still the same "yesterday, today, and forever". Many people have experienced challenges in the area of finances during this past year and we have as well. If we were to look at things on the surface, we could become discouraged, yet you and I as Christians know that we serve a God who is in control of the events and happenings of this world. Did you know that nothing ever comes into our lives as Christians that first of all wasn't sifted through the hands of Almighty God? Does this mean we will never experience challenges or trials? Absolutely not! Yet it does mean that for every difficulty we have faced, or will face, God will walk through the storm with us and provide the miracles we need along the way. Yes, I do believe He is still a God of miracles. Christmas is a season of giving. God gave Jesus. Mary gave Him life. The Shepherds gave their worship. The Wise Men gave their gifts. And we know that ultimately Jesus gave His life on a cross so that you and I could have everlasting life. With all of the challenges people are facing, they continue to look to the church as a place to see their spiritual needs met. For these reasons (and a host of others), I do not hesitate in asking that you make your local church a high priority during this Christmas season, both in your attendance and giving. You may be shocked that I am not asking you to make the camp a high priority in your giving! I say this because I know that the churches will be and have been faithful to the camp with the resources that they have. Thank you for your support and for keeping us in your prayers as we continue to serve. Merry Christmas, Gary Baker From the Director... We Shoot for jesus We aim for Christ We hit our salvation Creating an environment for god to move in. Mission crossfire was started by a group of outdoor oriented individuals with a strong Christian faith and a desire to promote Christ as part of everyday life. Today s youth need role models and alternatives. The focus is to have fun while practicing Christian values. The plan is to provide examples, to listen, and to simply be there when needed. Offering camping., fishing, archery, and shooting sports. Our Debt Free in Three campaign has one year left. We are making great strides but there is still work to be done. We are asking churches to partner with us by sending a one-time above and beyond gift of $1500. We are also asking individuals to prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible $650 donation. In May of 2011 we will be able to make a lump sum payment on our existing loan. Wouldn t it be great to be able to pay off the entire loan amount at that time!!!!!! Our current loan amount is $220,000. Please pray that God would open the door for you or your church to help in this way.
