PRAISING GOD 7 TIMES A DAY Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous rules. (ESV) 1. Your First Waking Moment 2. As You Are Getting Ready for the Day (in the shower, brushing your teeth, putting on your clothes, eating breakfast) 3. As You Leave Your House (or go outside) 4. At Lunch Before Eating 5. 10 SPECIFIC PROMISES To HANG on to, to STAND on, to REST on, to BELIEVE GOD for, to CLING to 1. The Promise of God s PRESENCE The name Immanuel means GOD WITH US. Matthew 1:23 BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL, which translated means, GOD WITH US. (NASB) Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. (NASB) Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (ESV) Hebrews 13:5b for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. (ESV) No matter where you are. No matter what is happening. 3
No matter when it is. No matter how bad it looks. No matter how impossible the circumstance. No matter how things look God promises, I m there with you. You are never alone. 2. The Promise of God s PROVISION Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (ESV) Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (ESV) God s promise is that if you are in the Center of His Will, He will meet every Need you have. You will never go without something you need as long as you are in God s will. Now that s Needs, not Greeds. 3. The Promise of God s PEACE John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (ESV) 4
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (ESV) Proverbs 1:33 but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster. (ESV) God s promise is that if you pray; trust Him implicitly and obey His will; His Peace; the kind you cannot get from any other source; will overwhelm you. 4. The Promise of God s PROTECTION God will not allow anything to Happen to you that is outside of His will. You are invincible until God s assignment for you is completed. Satan has to get permission from God to do anything to you; and when that happens, it is always something for God s glory and your good and growth. Satan can never touch your spirit; that part of you which is under the Rule of the Kingdom of God; which dictates every other area of your life. Psalm 121:7 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. (ESV) 5
Romans 8:34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died more than that, who was raised who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. (ESV) 5. The Promise of God s POWER God promises that He has All Power and Can Do Anything at Anytime under Any Circumstances. Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God. (ESV) I Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. (ESV) Psalm 62:11 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, (ESV) I Corinthians 6:14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. (ESV) 6. The Promise of God s PATH God promises that if we submit to His authority; He will give us direction; guidance; specific step by step help. Now, that path is often given like a pen light, only giving you enough light for the next step; although we 6
want a flood light showing us everything. His promise is for the next Step. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (ESV) Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. (NLT) 7. The Promise of God s PURPOSE Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (ESV) God promises that when you are surrendered to Him, He will bring fulfillment and significance to your life. He will take even the bad things, the pain, the hurt, the attacks from the enemy, the hurt from people; and use it for His purpose. Through it, you will be able to Glorify Him and you will Grow and something Good (Something God Good) will happen. 8. The Promise of God s PRAYER God, through the Person of Jesus Christ; has promised that He will forever Pray for You. Jesus, Who faced every problem (in essence) you face; knows how to pray for you. 7
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (ESV) Hebrews 7:25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (ESV) 9. The Promise of God s PARTICIPATION You are not in this alone. As long as you stay within the will of God, He will go before you, fight for you, defend you, protect you, provide for you, hold your hand and direct your feet. II Peter 1:4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. (NASB) John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. (NASB) James 4: 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (NASB) I Peter 5:7 8
casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (NASB) 10. The Promise of God s PLEASURE God wants you to have pleasure. God wants you to be joyful. Jesus came to bring you joy. John 15:10-12 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. (ESV) Psalm 16:11 You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. (NASB) Psalm 149:4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. (ESV) Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
