On Sunday February 11th, the Boy Scouts of America will be celebrating Scout Sunday at the 11am Mass. This tradition was started to make people in the church aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out parts of what is pledged each week. The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith. Please join our Scouting family after the 11am Mass in the Parish Hall for cookies & refreshments. World Marriage Day is February 11, 2018 The theme for WMD has been permanently adopted as "Love One Another". This phrase is the commandment given us by Jesus in John 15:12. It speaks to us in a simple but challenging way of how our Father wishes us to live. Loving one another is a daily decision, simple but challenging. Make this day a me to celebrate the importance and need for loving and holy couples in our own life and that of our whole community. www.houstonme.org Worldwide Marriage Encounter* The longest married couple in 2017 was Teresa and Anthony Stellabo e, from St. Ann s Parish in Staten Island. Teresa and Anthony celebrated their 72 nd Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 21 st, 2017. The Altar Society would like to thank everyone who donated socks and magazines for the residents at the Northwest Rehabilitation Center. We were able to provide 137 residents with everything that was donated from our parishioners.
