MTO - Application For Long - Term Missionaries Missions & Outreach 1
The following are eligibility criteria for a candidate to be recognized as a Long Term CSC Missionary and to apply for financial support. A candidate must be an accepted participant with an approved mission agency or organization. If you meet the eligibility criteria, please proceed with the completion of the following Ministry to Others Application. Please keep this criteria page for your reference and submit the application to the Missions & Outreach Division (M&O) of Centre Street Church. Please note: All information requested and questions asked on this application are important and must be completed in order for your application to be processed. Thank you. One of the objectives of the M&O Division of Centre Street Church is to support members and adherents of CSC who are called to serve in a missions-related capacity, either locally, nationally or internationally. Candidacy Criteria 1. All levels of missionaries supported by Centre Street Church shall meet the requirements and serve under the auspices and supervision of a CRA accredited agency or organization, whose basic doctrinal beliefs are consistent with Centre Street Church. A candidate must exhibit consistency in his/her Christian walk as reflected in references, personal testimony, and reputation. 2. A long term candidate must provide a reference letter from 2 leaders of a CSC ministry in which the candidate has been involved. 3. A candidate under the age of 18 must have parental approval and adult supervision for the duration of the mission experience. 4. A candidate must submit a completed MTO Application. 5. A Long-Term candidate must be an active member of CSC and have a minimum of one-year ministry experience at CSC (Coach, life group leader/participant, choir member etc.). 6. A candidate must complete the Getting Involved form and sign the lifestyle agreement page of the form. Application and Selection Procedure 1. In order to properly process your application, please submit it to the M&O Division of CSC, four months prior to departure. We will accept applications that don t meet this time frame, but cannot guarantee complete processing prior to your departure. 2. The M&O Division of CSC will review the MTO Application. 3. The candidate will be interviewed. 4. The MTO Application will be forwarded to the Missions Advisory Committee for consideration. 5. The candidate will be informed of Missions & Outreach s decision. Please be aware you must be an accepted participant with an approved missions agency or organization to receive financial support. Financial Support Criteria Financial support from the Missions and Outreach (M&O) budget is available for qualified Long-Term Missionaries only once in a lifetime. An exception may be permitted if the candidate has a clear and significant call to missions, and has demonstrated that call by their serving ministry at CSC, or has a skill set deemed necessary for the mission. Financial support for Long-Term Missionaries will reflect the guidelines as written in the Missions & Outreach Policies Manual. 2
