The service you gave was very nice. She had many good friends at Asbury. Terry McNew Patty & Harry Klomp Thank you Asbury for honoring me during Pastor Appreciation Month through Lady Bear's season tickets, the cards, a generous donation to Rainbow Network and the Sunday morning visit from Coach Harper. It is a blessing to serve this church alongside you all. I am opening the cards a few at a time to spread out the joy of your kindness. Your donation to Rainbow Network was able to be part of a matching funds program in place, so your donation of $1400 was doubled. The work that will be done in rural Nicaragua in housing, medical, education and economic because of your gift will help many. You bless me. Pastor Melissa November 12, 1:30 Safe Sanctuary Training. Ark News The Sunday Schools ARK and ARK 2.0 (Asbury Rocking Kids) have been collecting stuffed animals to give to the children at Harmony House. The two Sunday Schools collected seventy -five stuffed animals and they were given to the kids at their Halloween party October 25. Thank you to everyone who donated stuffed animals to us. Even if you heard all four sermons and participated in all four small group studies, you've missed so many possibilities, promises, and inspiration available to all who read the entire book If by Mark Batterson. A copy will soon be in the library. The amazing insights based on the "Great Eight" (Roman 8) are interspersed with anecdotes such as his accomplishing his life goal #102, kissing his wife at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and calling a visit to the closed campus of Springfield's Central Bible College a supernatural synchronicity. Surely no one can read this book without accepting "If God is for us, who can be against us?" and without being challenged again and again to risk "What if?"
