From Our Messianic Leader.. Bringing People To Salvation John 12:23-24 23 Yeshua gave them this answer: The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Yes, indeed! I tell you that unless a grain of wheat that falls to the ground dies, it stays just a grain; but if it dies, it produces a big harvest. (CJB) If you have a bag of seed and you never plant even just one grain, you ll never see anything grow. Yeshua used a seed to show us why He had to die for us to bring many people to salvation. He was teaching us something that s also true in our lives: If our ambition is to remain lonely, isolated, protected and comfortable we ll never produce and bear the fruit Adonai desires. We need to die to self and be broken of pride and self-sufficiency, so we can become fruitful and be useful to our Lord. Brokenness is one way Adonai uses to mature His children. When you are broken, you ll find yourself challenged in: Positions and circumstances that cripple our selfsufficiency. Areas we are not submissive to Him. The perfect timing of His plans. If we refuse to change and instead cling to whatever Adonai wants us to release, then how can He use us for His kingdom? Just like the seed that is never planted, we ll remain unproductive. With so much at stake, why do we still resist His process of breaking us down? It is usually our own fault and shortsighted desires. It is really hard to let go of things, relationships or hobbies that we enjoy. Even when we know they are stunting our spiritual growth. We usually prefer to take the easy path of least resistance and hope and pray that Adonai will bless us anyway. We can be and often are distracted by short-term happiness. Think of it, that isn t the road to maturity that He has prepared for you. It s an abundance of fruitfulness that is waiting for you. All you have to do is let go of your grip and let Him do whatever it takes to get you there. Al Messianic Leader Ahava B'Shem Yeshua Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our trouble, light and momentary, is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 TLV Monthly Newsletter Volume 4, Issue 11 September 2018 Inside this issue: Upcoming Events 2 Local Announcements Ministry Updates 8 Messianic 101 9 Reading Schedule 10 Calendar 12 Classifieds 13 5

Page 8 MINISTRY UPDATES Ahava Children s Ministry The sign up sheet for September is back in the classroom/nursery area on the wall. Teachers and helpers can sign themselves up for dates that work for them. It will cover 2 months at a time. Teachers will be planning their own lessons, and helpers as usual will assist the teacher. In the storage room in the back of the sanctuary, there is a curriculum box for books and lessons, or you can use resources that you have. More teachers are needed. There should be a minimum of one adult in the back (18 or over) but preferably 2 adults should sign up at a time. Please talk to Dee Rodriguez if you would like to serve as a teacher for the first time, or if you would be willing to serve as the new Shabbat School leader. For those who sign up for Shabbat School, on the Sabbath you are in the classroom, please let the people serving in the sound booth know and they can make you a copy of the message. Davidic Dance Ministry Beginning dance steps are offered after Oneg on the first and second Sabbaths of the month at 1:15 for 30 minutes. The Shabbat Medley dance will be taught during this time. All who learn it can then participate in the Shabbat Medley dance to bring in the Sabbath Service. Is. 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announces peace and announces salvation, that says unto Zion: "Your Elohim reigns!" Davidic Dance at Ahava is worshiping Adonai with sacred reverence to Him. Therefore, there must be order and understanding when we worship through dance. Seasoned worship dancers may join the Davidic Dance circle after speaking to Daniele and Julia, our dance leaders, and demonstrating basic core steps. Appropriate dance attire is skirts and dresses below the knee, and tops should be covered shoulders, no tank tops or camisoles... nothing see through. Our focus is to please Elohim and not man. The Hora Dance is for everyone and we encourage all to participate and celebrate in this dance. The dance for He Shall Reign is for everyone as well! Thank you for your understanding and we ask that you pray that Elohim be exalted through the dance ministry as it is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Contact the Office at (928.443.5988) if you have any questions.

Page 9 MESSIANIC 101 Scriptures for Jewish Evangelism There are many scriptures that are very effective when discussing Yeshua HaMashiach with our non-believing Jewish friends. When speaking with the non-believing Jewish person use the following words to help with communication: Yeshua, Messiah, The Holy One of Israel, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Scriptures and use the term Congregation, instead of Church. Many feel that a church is not a place for them. These scriptures speak of G-d s undying love for Israel and the Jewish people. Please, look up and read each of these powerful scriptures. Here are just a few of the scriptures you can use: Israel will return to their land and rebuild it: Jeremiah 16:14-15 So I will bring them back into their land that I gave to their fathers. Amos 9:14-15 They will rebuild desolated cities and dwell in them. Yeshua was to be born of a virgin, from the root of Jesse and to be born in Bethlehem. In Hebrew, Bethlehem means House of Bread. Yeshua says, I am the Bread of Life. Proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up into heaven, and come down? Who has gathered the wind in the palm of His hand? Who has wrapped the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and what is the name of His son - if you know? Isaiah 7:14 Therefore ADONAI Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive. When she is giving birth to a son, she will call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 11:10 & 12 The root of Jesse. The nations will seek Him, and He will assemble the dispersed of Israel. Micah 5:1-2 Yeshua was to be born in Bethlehem. Our sins separate us from G-d. Only a blood sacrifice can atone for this. Blood can only be sprinkled by a priest, a mediator. Yeshua is our High Priest, and is our Mediator, before the Father. Yeshua shed His blood for our sins, crucified and beaten: Isaiah 59:1-2 Rather, your iniquities have made a separation between you and your G-d. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your lives - for it is the blood that makes atonement because of the life. Leviticus 1:5 He is to slaughter the bull before ADONAI. Then Aaron s sons, the kohanim, are to present the blood and splash it around on the altar that is at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Isaiah 52:13-14 Yeshua would be high and lifted up, marred beyond recognition. Isaiah 53:1-12 (Especially 12) The sufferings of our Messiah. David speaks of the crucifixion hundreds of years before crucifixion began. Verse 16 (17) Uses the word pierced, in Jewish bibles they changed the word to threatened because it pointed so clearly to Yeshua. Yet, Zechariah 12:10 the word pierced is not changed in Jewish bibles. Psalms 22:15-19 They pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones. Zechariah 12:10 When they look toward Me whom they pierced. Yeshua was born to be King! Isaiah 9:6 Of the increase of His government and shalom there will be no end - on the throne of David and over His kingdom - to establish it and uphold it through justice and righteousness from now until forevermore. The zeal of ADONAI - Tzva ot will accomplish this. Genesis 15:6 Then he believed in ADONAI and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.
