MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 2, 2018 CHILDREN S YEAR-LONG BIBLE CLUBS OF MISSION INDIA A part of Faith s Missions since 1990 NEEDS 1 in 5 kids on earth live in India, but millions of them have never heard of Jesus. For many, illiteracy, child labor, caste challenges, superstition, & idol worship are part of everyday life. Every year, Mission India has a waiting list of more than 1,000,000 children who could have been reached with additional funding. MINISTRY At Children s Bible Clubs, for 2 hrs. each afternoon for 52 wks., time is dedicated to singing songs, playing games, Bible stories, and homework help. The activities draw children to the clubs & they continue to attend, thanks to the care and mentorship of their leaders. Leaders also teach children life skills, such as good nutrition & personal hygiene, resulting in a holistic impact. In addition to training leaders, Mission India provides weekly lesson plans, Scripture books, & sports equipment. PRAYER REQUESTS FROM CHILDREN S BIBLE CLUB FACILITATORS that God would give wisdom & courage to the Year-Long Children s Bible Club leaders. for a safe gathering location for each Club, as they meet wherever it s convenient (under a tree, a flat rooftop, or a community hall.) that parents are open to the idea of their children attending. that God prepares the children s hearts to be receptive to the Gospel. for the children to be bold in sharing their new faith in Christ at home and with friends. BY CONCLUSION OF A YEAR-LONG BIBLE CLUB, THE PROJECT AIMS FOR THE FOLLOWING TO BE ACCOMPLISHED: Holistic change in children s lives, in terms of academic, relationships at home, sportsmanship, & hygiene. Spiritual change, with children beginning to pray, committing their lives to Christ, and being baptized. Formation of prayer groups, consisting of 6 people each, who may not only be children from the Club, but also family members. Formation of 3 worshipping groups, consisting of children and their family members. Pray also for Mission India s Staff in USA and for the on-the-ground Partners in India POB 141312, Grand Rapids, MI 49514 info@missionindia.org www.missionindia.org Todd VanEk, President & CEO Dick Frens, Sr. Assoc. to President
