Upcoming Events and Activities Stewardship Reflection: For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather serve one another through love. GALATIANS 5:13 We like to celebrate the fact that we are free to live the good life. But Jesus calls us to a different kind of freedom. St. Paul reminds us that Jesus sets us free so that we can serve one another, share our gifts and promote God s work here on earth to glorify His name and not honor ourselves. Join us every week in the Chapel at St. James, a half hour before 11:00 AM Sunday Mass and a half hour before each Mass, on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. It s so hard to say Good bye! Fr. Yarek will soon be moving to Calgary, to take up his new posting as Pastor at St. Joseph s Parish. And Fr. Dennis will be leaving us this summer to head back home to India. Fr. Yarek & Fr. Dennis, before you go, we would like to express our gratitude for your joyful preaching of the gospel and for your pastoral service to the people of God, which bring God s hope to a troubled world. You are wonderful examples of God s love at work - Thank you for teaching, guiding, inspiring and uplifting us, And most of all, thank you for bringing us closer to Christ! Thank you also for demonstrating a deep reverence for Mass, a great knowledge of scripture, a love of Christ and his Mother Mary, and a passion for Prayer! May Christ, in whose place you stand as priest, give you continuing grace to teach, guide and sanctify His people. May God Bless you Always! Though we now go on separate paths, we travel together to The Lord. I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3:15

Since everyone liked to buy flowers from the men of God, a rival florist across town thought that the competition was unfair. He asked the good fathers to close down, but they would not. He went back and begged the friars to close their doors, but they ignored him. So the rival florist hired Hugh Mordor, the roughest and most vicious thug in town to "persuade" them to close up shop. Hugh attacked and beat the friars mercilessly and trashed their store, saying he'd be back if they didn't close down immediately. Terrified, they did so, thereby proving that only Hugh can prevent florist friars.
