11/27/2011 1 st Sunday of Advent Let us express our trust in God to do wonderful things in us: has created us like a potter molds clay? comes to us in special ways? who helps us be ready to receive Jesus when Jesus comes into our lives? 12/4/2011 2 nd Sunday of Advent Let us proclaim our trust in God who comforts us and speaks tenderly to us: is to bring reward and justice for all? baptizes us in the Holy Spirit? who brings us God s comfort and helps us change our lives? God has done wonderful things for the people. God wants to do even more wonderful things in us. Trusting in God s saving and redeeming love, we offer to God our prayers. God, may we do what you have made us to do; to you we pray. God, you have given your creation to our care; may all our churches be faithful servants; to you we pray. God, may we be ready to receive Jesus when Jesus comes; to you we pray. God comforts us and provide us with good news, and so we now offer our prayers in thanksgiving. God of power and justice, may all of the peoples and nations of the earth see your glory as you have promised. God of power and justice, may your church always faithfully follow your ways. God of power and justice, may we know and feel the presence of Jesus when Jesus comes to us in our daily lives. O God, you call us to your Holy Banquet of the Eucharist to celebrate the wonderful things you have done. May we find Jesus there that we may see and know him everywhere. May your Spirit help us to be ready to receive him now and always. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen. O God, you call us to your Holy Banquet of the Eucharist. We come to celebrate the good news you have given us through your prophets Isaiah and John the Baptist. May we prepare a way and make straight a path for Jesus to come into our lives in this Mass and always. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

12/11/2011 3 rd Sunday of Advent Let us express our faith in God who has announced for us a time of blessing and justice: has good news for us? Ours is a God of blessing, of salvation and of justice, and so we now offer our prayers in thanksgiving. God, may everyone everywhere hear and respond to the good news you have for us all; we pray. God, may your church always preach the good news to the poor, comfort the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to captives and the oppressed; we pray. God, may we be filled with joy that you come to us in Jesus, now and always; we pray. God always keeps promises, and so we now offer our prayers trusting in God. O God of David, may all of the peoples and nations of the earth know you as their creator; we pray. O God of David, like Mary, may your church always be your faithful servant; we pray. O God of David, may we honor and welcome Jesus into our hearts on Christmas Day and every day; we pray. O God, like Isaiah, our hearts are happy and filled with joy with the good news you have for us. We now bring our happiness and joy to give to you as we come to your Banquet as your invited guests. We give you thanks in Jesus name. Amen. O God, you call us now to be with you at your Holy Banquet. May we come with grateful hearts for all you have done for us in the past through your servants, people like David and Mary. Like them, may we be your faithful servants in our own time. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
