Responsorial Psalm Psalm 25 Marty Haugen Refrain 4 3 To you, O Lord, I lift my soul, to you, Text: Psalm 25: 4-5, 8-9, 12-14; Marty Haugen, 1982, GIA Publications Inc.; refrain trans. 1969, ICEL Music: Marty Haugen, 1982, GIA Publications Inc. I lift my soul. The Good News (All stand) The Visitation of Mary Rainer Maria Rilke She still moved lightly at first, though climbing, she was already aware of her miraculous body then she stood, breathing heavily, on the high hills of Judea. It was no longer that country but her abundance that spread all around her; going on, she felt: no one could ever rise beyond the greatness she felt now. And she longed to lay her hand upon the other body, further along than hers. And the women swayed toward each other And touched one another s dress and hair. Each sheltered herself in her relative, filled with her holiness. Ah, the Savior in her was still blossom: yet even the Baptist inside her cousin s womb already leaped with delight. Silent Reflection (All seated)
Song Response Spirit of Life Carolyn McDade Prayers of Gratitude Response: Oh, living God, may it be so. The Lord s Prayer Concluding Prayer Remembrances (All seated) Reflection from Rosemary Ferguson, OP Beginning with all these days, to you my dearest family, my Adrian Dominican Sisters and Associates, and friends all, my love has seeded itself in my heart for always. All we shared then, newly, has grown wiser, deeper, even more caring and... onward to heaven s time. So, in my heart, on this night, I let William Butler Yeats speak words of my deep appreciation and gratitude for you. Wishes for the Cloths of Heavens Had I the heavens embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, for you tread on my dreams. No fear have I, only the deepest and most loving gratitude for these precious years.
Blessing (All stand) Prioress: Blessed are those who have died in the Lord; Let Rosemary rest from her labors, For her good deeds go with her. A gesture of signing the forehead of the deceased with the sign of the cross accompanies the blessing. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. All: Prioress: All: Prioress: All: Prioress: All: And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, Through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. May the love of God and the peace of Jesus Christ bless and console us and gently wipe every tear from our eyes; in the name of the Creator, and of the Redeemer, and of the Sanctifier. Amen.
It is a cherished part of our Dominican heritage to sing the chants to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Dominic as part of our prayer at the conclusion of each day. Please join us. Hail, Holy Queen Denise Mainville, OP

I arise today Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, Through a belief in the threeness, Through the confession of the oneness Of the Creator of Creation... I arise today through the strength of heaven: Light of sun, Radiance of moon, Splendor of fire, Speed of lightning Swiftness of wind, Depth of sea, Stability of Earth, Firmness of rock.
