WISHING YOU A MERRY AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR. Merry Christmas from the Wesleyan Village. May you and your family experience the Joy, Love, Hope and Peace of Christmas. What a wonderful time to experience the undeserved gift of salvation through the birth of a Savior, as the song notes, Hallelujah what a Savior, Hallelujah what a Friend. Christmas coupled with Easter provided a plan to redeem mankind from sin, despair and hopelessness. Christmas is a great opportunity to focus our thoughts on the birth of our Redeemer/ Messiah. The pace of activities has quickened throughout the Wesleyan Village as winter residents continue to arrive. We are thankful for all our friends and neighbors who are arriving from the north, as I noted at a recent President s Coffee. The winter residents bring energy and enthusiasm to the village; however, the year round residents provide stability and continuity to the village. We need both groups and we are thankful for all. Updates: A special thank you for all of you who participated in providing gifts to the Hurricane Irma Relief Fund. Additional gifts are welcome! A permit for the Pickleball courts has been issued, PLT. The Board of Directors has approved the investigation for Wesleyan Village to sponsor a Home Health Franchise. A report will be presented at the February 2018 board meeting. Written announcements for an increase in assessments, effective March 1, 2018, are in the mail. The increase in assessments will be placed in a reserve fund to support roads, water and sewer projects. A Pet Committee will be appointed in December and operational in January 2018. I appreciate the persons who have volunteered for the committee. Pleased continue to obey the traffic rules and guidelines within the village. Thank you! The Wesleyan Village recently purchased two additional generators to support our Sewage Treatment plant in times of emergency. Over the next few months the generators will be adjusted to assist with our lift stations. Connie and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Joyful New Year. May we experience a refreshed vision of Christmas, such as the Shepherds, The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God Luke 2:20. May we take time to praise and glorify God for his wonderful gift of salvation. Don Maness, President

SPECIAL GREETINGS TO WESLEYAN VILLAGE NEW RESIDENTS Wesleyan Village is the place to be.. How often have we heard this phrase as communities via for your attention to entice you to buy or at least rent from their community. Wesleyan Village is not much different regarding catchy phrases. BUT we hope that you have found it to be more that a catch phrase. Our promise to you is to make your stay as meaningful and enjoyable as possible. If the Welcoming Community, lead by B. J. Guy, has not been at your village home to greet you, soon they should be. Some of the ways we attempt to communicate with you is through the monthly newsletter andweekly emails of current and upcoming events. Most of the announcements and sign-up sheets are available on the bulletin board in the Elliott Center. A monthly calendar is also made available. The President has a monthly meeting with residents where you are invited to have a cup of coffee and donut. At this gathering office personnel gives a verbal and written report. Among the written information is a listing of village activities. You are invited to the Event Coordinator s office at any time to discover and suggest activities which would interest you. When I Think of Christmas Poet: Catherine Pulsifer 2017 When I think of Christmas I see - the excitement of children awaiting the big day; the lights and decorations of homes so brilliantly displayed; the music that plays and songs that are sung; and Christmas parades that delight the old and young. But most importantly I think of the birth of the Son the miracle that occurred can compare with none God so loved the world He sent His only Son He offers us hope, peace and life if we believe what He has done. So when you think of Christmas my hope for you Is that you thank God in all you do. THE EMPLOYEES OF WESLEYAN VILLAGE TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY A BLESSED WESLEYAN VILLAGE CHALLENGE An anonymous (out-of-state) donor will match dollar for dollar up to $5,000 to assist Wesleyan Village Hurricane victims.
