July 28, 29 and 30, 2017 18316 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH The 1 st Annual Festival of Healing, hosted by Nottingham United Methodist Church, NUMC, is a weekend of healing enrichment, life inspiration and family building resources for all. This neighborhood-based event will feature prayer and healing services, workshops, resources, and programs all designed to help individuals of all ages, within our local community, heal and renew their mind, body and soul. Life is hard sometimes, and Nottingham UMC believes everyone deserves a time of respite, affirmation and simple enjoyment. NUMC is a religious community of faith, common purpose, growth, healing and mutual support, living out our ministry in mission within the local community, our mission field of choice. The Festival of Healing is part of the church s outreach and healing ministries. It is viewed as the launch of a Nottingham UMC Urban Church Renaissance Initiative. At NUMC, we are a community outreach center sustaining a strong Christian presence of ministry in mission, living out our shared community responsibilities through social services connections, assistance, resources, advocacy and personal support programs. We are also committed to community building as an integral community partner, fostering individual and organizational well being, while working to help build upon community self knowledge, one person, family or organization at a time. Our intent is to continue as a fully committed community partner, encouraging healing wherever needed and consistently looking for ways to help individuals, families and neighborhoods toward even greater wholeness and sustainability. NUMC views healing as: any positive effort to enhance over all community well-being, intelligently discerned and of intentional design, whether physical, cognitive, emotional / social, or spiritual. It is a positive choice-ful action to work toward current or future hopes and dreams of mutually desired outcomes, personally, within families or organizations, to the overall benefit of individuals, our local neighborhood and greater community.
