The outpouring of food, toiletries and clothing was overwhelming. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to feed the homeless on the streets of Manhattan in addition to a shelter in White Plains. There is nothing more rewarding than to see the gratitude on the faces of those less fortunate and to hear them to say to us God Bless you when they are blessing us beyond measure. Respect Life Society An Action Alert from NYS Catholic Conference Help Defeat Late-Term Abortion Expansion Very soon the State Senate Health Committee will call a vote on the so-called Reproductive Health Act, S.2796, a late-term abortion expansion bill. We need you to contact your State Senator, who is a member of this committee, to urge opposition to this bill. Similar to the proposal that was defeated during state budget negotiations, this bill would allow abortion through the nine months of pregnancy for any reason, would empower non-doctors to perform abortions, and would even declare abortion to be a fundamental right in our state. This bill has already passed the Assembly, so it must be defeated in the Senate Health Committee. Take action at New York State Catholic Conference.
