PASTOR S PAR- PASTOR S PARAGRAPH AGRAPH David Mercer is here! What a blessing to have our new Pastor of Students and Young Adults on the field. We are all looking forward to working with David. I am very excited about the years of experience that he brings to us in student work. I believe wonderful things are ahead for our students and for the church as we grow in the area of student work. Please take the time to have a conversation with him and get to know him. Also, please be praying for him as he makes the transition to Sikeston. Thank you for sending us to the Southern Baptist Convention in Dallas, Texas. James and Cindy Guy also had the privilege to attend. We had a good convention this year, but before it started we had a great Pastor s Conference. For me, the time away listening to great preachers share the Word and worshiping with great music in the Spirit is always a wonderful time of refreshing and renewal. I come back ready for the challenges ahead and ready to serve the Lord with all that is within me. As I am writing this, we are in the midst of Vacation Bible School! I want to thank James and Pam for their wonderful leadership. Also, thank you to all the workers who give of their time and talents. We are truly blessed with great workers and great leadership. We saw that in AWANA this spring and before you know it, Summer will be behind us and AWANA will be going strong again! Thank you for being a church that Loves and Serves Jesus! Bro Mitch Few Words from Bro. Ron.. We have had some more additions to our Fall schedule so we will be busy even past Thanksgiving. Thanks for your support and prayers. Our church is in the middle of Summer activities. I know families are busy but please don t neglect the church! Thank you! Keep on keeping on and God will bless. Because of Calvary, Bro. Ron

PASTOR S GRAPH ASSOCIATE PASTOR PARA- When we talk about the church, we must be careful not to talk about the church as either a worship service or a building, but a group of Christians who have joined together for the sake of Christ. Consider this statement from Miner Baptist s Church Constitution: Do you see how this purpose statement reflects the church as people, rather than a service or building? The church its members promotes the interests of the Kingdom of God and seeks the spiritual improvement of its members. Be an active part of this Body this Summer. I Love You all! Jim ************************************************************************************* Dear Miner Baptist Church, Thank you for allowing us to use your van and trailer to go to FUGE Camp. We had an amazing week. Our group had 4 salvations and 1 re-dedication. We also grew closer as a church family. Again, thank you for your generosity. Fellowship Baptist Church Youth ******************************************************************************** Miner Baptist Church, Thank you all so much for the flower arrangement, your love and support and kindness was sincerely appreciated during our time of loss. Love, Cindy Ressel & family (Nick Lambert s mother)

A Mercer Message To say that I am beyond excited about being a part of the ministry here at Miner Baptist Church would be an understatement. I look forward to the months and years ahead as we seek God s leadership and direction in reaching the students and young adults of the area for Christ. I have been fervently praying long before I arrived, that the Lord would bless this ministry and use all of us to make an impact for His Kingdom. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the students and families and growing together in God s love. I want to thank the church family for their hospitality and gracious welcome here to Sikeston. Pastor Mitch and the staff have made me feel so much a part of the ministry already and I m grateful for that. Please be patient with me as I learn names of church family and the patterns of ministry at Miner. I encourage students to come to our Student Planning Council meeting and pizza hangout on Sunday, July 1st following the concert that evening. I would like for us to plan our SUMMER CELEBRATION for late July/early August and begin talking about the direction and vision of our fall youth ministries. Make plans to be there. Once again, thank you so very much for offering me the privilege to minister to the students and young adults here at Miner Baptist Church. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 Miner Baptist Church, Thank you for the beautiful music box and for all the prayers. Your kindness is very much appreciated. May God bless! Sincerely, Bobby & Pam Eldridge ********************************************************************************************** Dear Church family, Thank you for your kindness in so many ways during my daughter, Debbie s illness and celebrating her life with us. Your prayers eased the way and we won t forget our Church family. God bless, Betty Lowrey & Lewis families. ********************************************************************************************** Miner Baptist Church, Thank you for the prayers and beautiful flowers. The Debbie Lewis Family (Betty Lowrey s daughter s family) ********************************************************************************************** Miner Baptist Church Family, Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness after the loss my mother. The lantern, cards, words of kindness and prayers were greatly appreciated. Jackie Hay and family
