Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard a voice of the Lord saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Here I am! Send me. In this 8th edition: August 2013 1) Work at Ufollo and SAAWE 2) Outreaches in Gauteng 3) Upcoming outreaches 4) Global Media Outreach 5) Resources, links and attachments 6) Prayer and Praise Points Above is a photo of exhibitions of different mission organizations at Tukkies missions week. The previous photo shows Mega Voice s exhibition. They reach illiterate people with a device that has the Bible and sermons in different languages. It is a solar powered device smaller than a cell phone. Like an ipod. 1) Work at Ufollo.net and SAAWE As many of you know, I ve been working at Ufollo.net now for over two months. Ufollo.net is a ministry connected with SAAWE(South African Action for World evangelization). It s aim is to reach the least reached and unreached groups of the world with short videos about Jesus and the gospel on people s cell phones. It is estimated (according to Joshua Project) that over 2,8 billion people in the world have never heard the saving message of Jesus Christ crucified and risen from the dead. Our aim is to connect with seekers from around the world and to evangelize them and disciple them by using relevant discipling material. We aim to do this by committed volunteer caring friends or follow-up Personnel. We have chosen to use short videos to reach people because it is cheaper to watch from their cell phones. Our aim is to reach the young people, especially those below 30 years, but obviously we will reach older people as well. On the 8 th of November 2013 we want to launch the website and make it freely available in different parts of the world on the World Wide Web. You can visit our website at www.ufollo.net to see what we have at the moment in embryo format. We are very excited about this and hope that many people will be reached with the Life giving message of God. At the moment I am doing a bit of everything, from admin work, to loading videos on the site, writing and arranging evangelism and discipleship material and templates for follow-up workers, visiting churches and mission weeks and arranging a network of follow-up workers that will be ready when many people will visit our site

and ask for help. We are a team working at Ufollo.net, so luckily we share responsibilities. Many things need to be in place before the 8 th of November. By God's grace we are progressing slowly but surely. We have found an IT specialist that has helped us a lot and will help us in the future to develop and manage our website further, for which we are thankful to God. Here I am with the team from Ufollo.net and SAAWE at the office. Some people were very interested and said that they would like to support us in future with prayers, giving their time and/or support us financially. It was a blessed time where friends and family helped us and gave us accommodation and meals. Since I have joined the team at Ufollo.net and SAAWE in Gauteng we have visited an Anglican church and spread the vision of Ufollo.net. Almero (who is also working at Ufollo.net) and I shared our testimonies and our vision to reach the world with the gospel at the church. Murray and Christine, our fellow workers at Ufollo.net, and mainly the visionaries of Ufollo.net, gave a presentation at the church. We also had a workshop at NG Church Skuilkrans in Pretoria in June. We were about 20 people who attended the workshop, and good relationships were formed. Many said that they would like to be involved by creating videos, with content management or as a follow-up workers. At the moment SAAWE and Ufollo.net are working together and every morning we begin with prayer and Bible study. We also have prayer days and regularly prayers for missionaries, churches and mission organization across the world. Prayer is the foundation of all the things we do at SAAWE and Ufollo.net. We have made some valuable contact with mission leaders from Judea Harvest(Louis Blom) and other organizations, including a visit to the AGS Seminary in Auckland Park. In the future we might get a lot of involvement because of our contact with them. 2) Outreaches in Bloemfontein and Gauteng Before I moved to Kempton Park I helped to arrange meetings at churches in Bloemfontein for Ufollo.net. We(workers at Ufollo.net) visited several pastors and churches and spoke at churches about the work and vision of Ufollo.net. At the WENSA Conference. Building relationships. Last month Almero, Bettie and I attended The WENSA(World Evangelization Network of South Africa) conference for three days. We also met similar minded people there and I gave two 7 minute presentations at The Missions and Media workshop at the Conference. I basically shared

the promo video about Ufollo.net, and how to be an online missionary through Global Media Outreach. I gave a demonstration how to interact with people and link people with discipleship material and Bibles through the Internet using a computer. It was a fun time. The meals were of outstanding quality. We met great people there and learned a lot about the future of missions. It was a great time and we at Ufollo.net and SAAWE spoke to many students about our work. Some students showed interest to become involved in the work of Ufollo.net. We had an exhibition for Ufollo.net, SAAWE and SAT-7 with other mission organizations at the mission week. Our new Banner for Ufollo.net This was the theme for the week at the mission week. Last week we attended the Tukkies (University of Pretoria) mission week where Bill Taylor was the guest speaker. He is a veteran missionary from Central America and the USA, and he challenged us to give our lives for the cause of Christ wherever God puts us, whether in the secular world or in a distant land proclaiming the gospel. Apart from these wonderful things we are regularly reaching out to people at the OT(Oliver Tambo) airport every Thursday morning. In the past two months Koos, Almero and I went seven times to talk to people, to give out tracts and gospel booklets, and we prayed for several people. It is a wonderful opportunity to reach people from many different nations. There are a large number of Muslims passing daily through the airport. We also have given out a few Bibles to some of the workers at the Airport. Bill Taylor, the main speaker of the week

As some of you might know MES(Middestad Evangeliese Sorg) has a branch In Kempton Park. They are a ministry that works in the inner city and gives accommodation and food and the Word to people that are in need. They have different outreaches, and one of them is to reach out once a month, on a Saturday morning, to the people in the streets. I have gone on one of these. We talked to people about God, gave out tracts and booklets and prayed for people in distress. Many people from all over Africa are living in the inner-cities of South Africa. People from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, the Congo and many other countries. It is a great opportunity to spread the love and truth of God. beggars as well. I stopped at one of them and asked the man where he stayed, and if he has food to eat every day. He answered in the affirmative. It turned out that he lives quite comfortably just around the corner, and that his children are just dropping him off every day and picking him up again! Nevertheless, many white people, young and old, are living on the streets begging for food. I hope to become more involved in reaching out to them as well and working with MES as time permits. 3. Upcoming outreaches Murray, Christine and I will be attending the Missions week at Kovsie Student Church in Bloemfontein from the 18 th -22 nd of August, where we will represent Ufollo.net and SAAWE. We hope to address some churches on the 18 th, and to speak to church leaders as well when we come to Bloemfontein. We also have a missions fest we will be attending for a week from 1 September to the 8 th of September at NG Church Wonderboompoort in Pretoria. We will also have an exhibition for Ufollo.net there and hope to get more people involved in follow-up work and creating short videos. As I said before, every Thursday we have an outreach at OT Airport, and I hope to join The MES outreach(kempton Kruin NG Church) once a month on their outreaches in the inner city as well. We have had many great conversations with these people on the streets. As always, I am loaded with ammunition (tracts, booklets and prayers) as I travel in Gauteng. It is amazing how many people are on the streets here in Gauteng. The first night I arrived in Kempton Park, a young white guy came to me asking for money to stay in a shelter in the inner city. He was very thin and really looked if he needed help. As always you get the professional Bettie at the Office. She has been at SAAWE for more than 33 years! Faithfull! 4. Global Media Outreach(GMO) By Gods grace I m faithfully answering questions, and responding to decisions and commitments at this ministry every day. Recently GMO has included a Facebook Response System. In other words, they (GMO) link people from their Facebook page to some of the online missionaries. GMO needed online missionaries to become part of the Facebook Community as well. So I decided to grab the opportunity. I am now also part of this community and I must say that many have been really responsive from the Facebook page. Many people have many questions about Jesus, the church and life issues. It makes it a great opportunity to reach people with the truth of the Bible and the gospel. Four recent comments and questions were: How can I

repent? or Who is Jesus? and I want to understand more how God can guide my path, Why does unfair things happen to good people?. As you can appreciate these kind of questions give me and other online missionaries the opportunity to explain the gospel and Biblical truths. Now and then we get a nice correspondence going. I had one with a Muslim from Pakistan. He really believed that the Koran was the real words of God(as so many believe), and wanted to know more about the errors in the Bible. In four long emails I explained to him the history of the Bible and why Christians believe the Bible is the true words of God. I also shared my testimony with him. After that he thanked me and said he didn't want to talk to me anymore! Let's pray that God will work in his heart to believe the truth about Jesus and the Bible! Here is a nice short video about the work of Global Media Outreach on YouTube: http://youtu.be/qajqoiaa5se 5. Resources, links and attachments At ufollo.net I have been working at discipleship material. I wrote a 6 day Guide and a 40 Day guide for new believers. Praise God that I ve been able to finish both. They are now in the final process of being edited. We might use these for Ufollo.net in the future, if the editorial team are happy with it. I have been able, with the help of a friend (Isabelle Paule), to make videos of my testimony(short and long version), and the six day guide. Any comments and constructive criticism would be appreciated. We might shoot some of the videos again. It can be viewed at YouTube. Here are the links: Anyman series(6 day-guide) Part 1: What must I do to be saved from my sins?(salvation) Link: http://youtu.be/4r98riropfw Part 2: How can I find and know the words of God?(Bible and prophesy) Link: http://youtu.be/ypdt9lv-l68 Part 3: How can I meet with people who know God?(Church) Link: http://youtu.be/w-kbgmqp9d4 Part 4:How can I have a close relationship with God?(Prayer) Link: http://youtu.be/x9norniuyxm Part 5:How can I live a life pleasing to God?(Holy Spirit) Link: http://youtu.be/hsm0v4viur8 Part 6:How can and should I talk to people about God?(Witnessing and ministry) Link: http://youtu.be/dwtc4nnyszy My Testimony : Short:http://youtu.be/4wZ-B_NokcQ Long:http://youtu.be/ecoVR-eiPUs I am also sending an attachment(written format) of the six day guide (Anyman series). I am planning to make a booklet of the six day guide and the 40 day guide for evangelism and followup work. The 40 day guide will hopefully be finished in the next two weeks. I have recently come across a book that really have been life changing. Some of you might know who Patrick Johnstone is. He wrote the great book, Operation World (Prayer Guide Book). Recently He finished the Book The Future of the Global Church"). It is an awesome work, with so much info illustrated with pie and line graphs and maps. It is really an eye opener. It takes you through current global issues, the history of the church, the history and future projections of world religions until 2050. Then it has a section

on the current and future of the main streams and trends in the church, and it ends with the unreached peoples of the world and the unfinished task in missions. It is truly a remarkable work. I humbly recommend that every Christian or missionary read and study this monumental work. It is impossible to read more than a few pages at a time, because of the density of new information. Truly an astounding work. It's almost like a compact missionary encyclopaedia and a guide for any Christian scholar and/or missionary. 6. Prayer and Praise Points Praise 1) For Gods goodness, patience and grace in our lives.(2 Peter 3:9; Romans 2:4) The Amphitheatre at Tuks in Pretoria. Meeting an old friend, dominee and fellow classmate while I was studying theology, Gawie Snyman. Isabelle trying a delicious worm(might be mopanie) for supper. She has been a great help with many things at Ufollo. She has taken most of the photo s you see. She helped with the videos we shot for YouTube and with the settings in the videos. She shot my testimony as well. Almero, his wife and I at Tukkies enjoying the band.;) My two faithful, friendly friends always welcoming me after a long day s work at the office. Billy the (chubby one) on the left and Dingo the lively one. I m not always sure if they are happy to see me or because of the food I sometimes give them. Before I met Dingo I had a strong aversion towards any Jack Russel. But since I met Dingo I repented. Email: nicovanzyl@gmail.com Murray Louw and I at Tukkies mission week. Sel: 0722350201 Shalom!
