The ancient heights have become our possession, 3 therefore prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people"

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 36:1-3 1 And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD! 2 Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the enemy has said of you: 'Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession, 3 therefore prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people" WHO IS THE LORD SPEAKING TO? READ: EZEKIEL 6:2-3 2 Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, 3 and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys: Indeed I, even I, will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. NKJV

I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain.

READ: EZEKIEL 35:10-11 10 Because you have said, 'These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess them,' although the LORD was there, 11 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them when I judge you. NKJV

READ: DEUTERONOMY 28:36-37 36 The LORD will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods wood and stone. 37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the LORD will drive you. NKJV

Indeed, you should not have gazed on their affliction In the day of their calamity, Nor laid hands on their substance In the day of their calamity.

I raised My hand in an oath the nations around you shall bear their own shame

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 36:6 6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, and the valleys, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, because you have borne the shame of the nations." WHY IS THE LORD DOING THIS? because you have borne the shame of the nations READ: PSALMS 123:4 4 Our soul is exceedingly filled With the scorn of those who are at ease, With the contempt of the proud.
