We see a God-raised, Spirit-filled Army for the 21 st century convinced of our calling, moving forward together Deepen Our Spiritual Life Unite in Prayer Our Relationship with the Lord Jeremiah 17:8 Acts 4:31 Ephesians 3:16-21 Philippians 1:9-10 Romans 8:9-16 Where do you stand in your relationship with God? What does God want to say to you about your relationship with him? What does he want you to do? How might he use you? How are you full? Where are you emptied for his sake? Our first priority is to be connected to the Source, Jesus. Ask God to show you how you can do that and which areas of your spiritual life he wants you to prioritize. Eat a piece of the bread to represent your willingness and desire in doing so. When you leave take away with you a paper candle as reminder of your daily need to refuel your relationship with Christ. Our prayer life Philippians 4:61 Thessalonians 5:16-18 James 5:16 Ephesians 6:18 Colossians 4:2 Hebrews 4:162 Chronicles 7:14 How do you pray? In what settings do you pray? What do you pray for? What do you expect from prayer? How devoted are we to praying for those in our life? Choose a country or region of the world to prayer for. Place the post it note/tea light candle on the respective area on the map. Additional Information: Print out the Global Call to 24-7 Prayer Focus correspondent to each month. We see a God-raised, Spirit-filled Army for the 21 st century convinced of our calling, moving forward together Identify and Develop Leaders Leaders in the SA, local corps, communities and world Ephesians 4:11-16 Acts 20:281 Peter 4:10 Hebrews 13:7 Hebrews 13:17 Who are some important leaders in your corps? Community? World? Is there an area in your corps where a leader is needed? Is the Lord calling you to a leadership position? Are you stepping up and being a leader in your corps/community? Trace the dots to form a person. Draw the parts of the body and as you do pray over them. Example: That God would give you ears to listen to others. That God would give you vision to see other people s potential. -OR- Write inside the body qualities of a leader. Pray that God would mould you into the leader he wants you to be and that you may help others in the same way. Finances Increase Self-Support and Self-Denial Leviticus 25:35-36 Proverbs 19:17 Isaiah 58:6-8 Mark 12:41-43 Luke 14:26-27 Acts 2:44-45 2 Corinthians 8:1-15 What can you deny in favour of someone? How can you engage in supporting and serving others? Is there anything in your lifestyle you could change? Thank God for the things he has given you. Ask him if there is any change you need to make in the way you spend your money and use your time. Pray for clarity to see what you can change and the will to put this vision into action. Write it on the strip of paper and tie it around your wrist as a reminder.

Into the world of the hurting, broken, lonely, dispossessed and lost, reaching them in love by all means Emphasise our Integrated Ministry Reach and Involve Youth and Children Bringing health physical, mental, social and spiritual to every person John 3:16 Amos 5:24 Revelation 21: 1-4 Matthew 6:10 Where do you see signs of the Kingdom of God being revealed in your community? In which situations can you/your Corps bring care, change, community and hope? Things in the world are not the way God intended them to be. Draw a picture or write down words of the way the world is supposed to look like regarding each one of the four areas (Care, Change, Community and Hope). Pray while you do this -tell God what you like about this new vision and how badly you want the world to be this way. Hang your picture with the others. Youth and Children Deuteronomy 6:5-7 Mark 10:13-16 Matthew 18:3-5 Luke 2:41-52 1 Timothy 4:12 Proverbs 22:6 Jeremiah 1:7-8 Are you constant in praying for the youth and children in your life? Are you praying big prayers for specific young people? What do they learn from your example? How can you challenge them to deepen their spiritual life? How can youth and children challenge and inspire you? Ask God to place a child or young person or youth worker in your heart. Write their name or a prayer subject on the paper. Take it with you as a reminder to pray for them.

Into the world of the hurting, broken, lonely, dispossessed and lost, reaching them in love by all means Stand for and Serve the Marginalised Justice Issues Luke 18:7-8 Isaiah 1:17 Isaiah 9:7 Isaiah 42:1-4 Proverbs 14:31 Who are the marginalised people/groups in your community? In the world? What are some social justice issues facing your community? The world? How are you standing up for and serving the marginalised? Are there changes you could make to better serve the marginalised? Think about their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Pray for them and people like them in different nations around the world. Take a stone and think of a person or a group of people who are looked down on and despised. Pray for their inclusion in the world and place the stone inside of the circle to symbolically represent this. What am I/my Corps doing that could be halting the extension of God s work? Pray asking God to show creative ways as to how you/your Corps can reach out to people.
