INTRODUCTION Working Alongside God I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ Philemon 1:6 Philemon 1:6 reveals that there is a connection between witnessing and a healthy Christian life. For this reason, in the POSSIBILITY SUMMIT this year, our focus is to work alongside God to reach our neighbors with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will pray for them, care for them, and share the message of the gospel with them. There are lots of reasons why we don t share our faith with our neighbors. But one of the main reasons is that we are just too afraid. And our fear may come from a notion that sharing our faith puts us in a position of too much responsibility more than we can handle. But God is the One who takes the ultimate responsibility for your neighbor s response. It s not you. The one responsible for the miracle of new life is God alone. Through His Holy Spirit, God is already at work in the heart of your neighbor. And God is already at work in you. Your job is simply to be available as the voice box for the words the Holy Spirit will give you to speak. You aren t the one who will change your neighbor s heart. You aren t the one who will cause him or her to cross the line from disbelief to belief in Jesus. That s God s job. He simply invites you to work alongside Him. 3

PRAYER GUIDELINE This Prayer Guide will get you in the habit of consistently praying for the salvation of neighbors and co-workers and put God s heart of love into you so you will want to care for and share Christ with them. Each day has a Scripture Reading, followed by two areas to focus your prayers for the day. On certain days, one of the prayer emphases is based on this acronym B.L.E.S.S., and it stands for: B Body (health) L Labor (work situations) E Emotional (mental health) S Social (relationship with other people) S Spiritual (relationship with Jesus Christ) As you individually, or with your small group, pray through this Prayer Guide, you will catch a passion for a concept called Praylove-Share. This concept simply means that first we need to pray for lost people, then we need to show the love of Christ to them, and finally we will gain an opportunity to share Christ with them. Note: The daily prayers in this guideline have been adapted from Be Jesus in Your Neighborhood 1999, 2012 by Alvin VanderGriend and 40 Days Prayer Guide for Greater Toronto Festival of Hope with Franklin Graham 2014. 5

POSSIBILITY CHALLENGE Throughout this POSSIBILITY SUMMIT, I trust God to: PRAY one hour daily, FAST according to my strengths, GIVE my tithe faithfully and joyfully for the next 4 months (and beyond), READ the Scriptures of the BIBLE given and Trust God to GO and SHARE the Gospel with one person every week Holy Spirit, help me as I trust, serve, love and obey You throughout the POSSIBILITY SUMMIT and beyond. THE LORD S PRAYER THE MODEL How do we make prayer a part of our everyday life? We can learn from three things that Jesus did Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed (Mark 1:35). A CERTAIN TIME: Jesus got up very early in the morning to spend time with His Heavenly Father. In order for prayer to work, we should do the same. Make a daily appointment with God and keep it. A CERTAIN PLACE: Jesus had a prayer place. Your prayer place needs to be an undistracted environment where you can pray out loud and perhaps have some worship music playing in the background. A CERTAIN PLAN: Go into your prayer time with a plan. If it changes that s fine. When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He gave His disciples a prayer outline. We trust that like Jesus, every member will have her own, time, place and plan for prayer during this time of POSSIBILITY. THE LORD S PRAYER MODEL One-day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray (Luke 11:1). Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever (Matthew 6:9-13). 10

Our Father in heaven... 1. CONNECT WITH GOD RELATIONALLY: You have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, Abba, Father (Romans 8:15 NLT). God loves for us to call Him our Father. Establish your intimate relationship with Him and thank Him for the relationship you have with Him. Hallowed be Your Name 2. WORSHIP HIS NAME: God s name is a place of protection the righteous can run there and be safe (Proverbs 18:10 MSG). What are His Names? Righteousness He makes me clean Sanctifier He has called me and set me apart Healer He heals all my diseases Banner of Victory He has defeated my enemy Shepherd He speaks to me and leads me Peace He is my peace in every storm Provider He supplies all of my needs Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven 3. PRAY HIS AGENDA FIRST: He will always give you all you need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern (Luke 12:31 TLB). God s priorities: Saving the Lost Guiding those in authority parental, spiritual, governmental, workplace His will in us 11

Give us this day our daily bread 4. DEPEND ON HIM FOR EVERYTHING: I look up to the mountains does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121:1-2 NLT). Ask God for what you want and need and then trust Him for the answer. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors 5. GET YOUR HEART RIGHT WITH GOD AND PEOPLE: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Ask God to check your heart and motives. Receive His forgiveness for any area that He brings to mind. Forgive anyone who has offended you in any way. You can even forgive people in advance. And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one 5. ENGAGE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Take your stand against the enemy and fight the good fight of faith. Every lie that the enemy has told you should be replaced with the truth of God s Word. 12

For yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. 6. EXPRESS FAITH IN GOD S ABILITY Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you (Jeremiah 32:17). End your prayer time by reminding yourself of God s ability. Return to praise and make your faith declarations. Yours is the Kingdom all rule belongs to You Yours is the Power all mightiness flows from You Yours is the Glory Your victory shall be complete. Adopted from: Pastor Chris Hodges 13

HOW TO EXPERIENCE, MAINTAIN AND GROW IN YOUR PERSONAL REVIVAL 1. Repent: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any unconfessed sin in your life. 2. Seek forgiveness from all whom you have offended, and forgive all who have hurt you. Make restitution where God through the Holy Spirit and His Word leads. 3. Examine your motives in every word and deed. Ask the Lord to search and cleanse your heart daily through this POSSIBILITY SUMMIT. 4. Ask the Holy Spirit to guard your walk against complacency and mediocrity. 5. Praise and give thanks to God continually in all ways on all days, regardless of your circumstances. 6. Refuse to obey your carnal (world) nature (Galatians 5:16,17). 7. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Develop utter dependence on Him with total submission and humility. 8. Study the names and the attributes of God. 9. Hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matthew 5:6). 10. Love God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind (Matthew 22:37). 11. Appropriate the continual fullness and control of the Holy Spirit by faith on the basis of God's command (Ephesians 5:18) and promise (1 John 5:14,15). 12. Read, study, meditate on, memorize and live out God's holy, inspired, inerrant Living Word daily (Colossians 3:16). 14

13. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). One hour a day based on the four seasons. Morning (5-6am) Afternoon (12:30-1:30 noon), evening (6-7pm), and Midnight (11:30-12:30). Prayer as a lifestyle 14. Fast and pray one 24-hour period each week. 15. Seek to share Christ daily as a way of life: In works and in deeds. 16. Determine to live a holy, godly life of obedience and faith daily. 17. Pray that God will work extraordinary miracles through you, by your hands. 15

16

DAILY POSSIBILITY PRAYERS Day 1 AUGUST 7 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. PSALM 16:11 Praise God for his love and for his readiness to have a love relationship with you. Ask God to strengthen your prayer life and deepen your relationship with Him. Ask God to fill you with joy in His presence and to give you eternal pleasures at His right hand. Thank God for His generosity in making these gifts available. Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Body (physical). Pray that the Father who sends every good and perfect gift... from above (James 1:17) will meet their needs. Labor (work). Pray for diligence in work. Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth (Proverbs 10:4). Emotional (inner life). Pray that they may have the Holy Spirit and his fruit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Social (relational). Ask God to give them good friendships. Pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! (Ecclesiastes 4:10). 17

Spiritual. Pray that they will receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in [Christ] (Acts 26:18). Day 2 AUGUST 8 The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God s will. ROMANS 8:26-27 Praise the Lord as the prayer-initiating, prayer-hearing God. Ask God to make prayer a joy in your life. Thank God for the privilege of knowing his thoughts and praying them back to him. Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Body. Pray that the Father in heaven who causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous, will bless them (Matthew 5:45). Labor. Pray that they may have employment and adequate compensation from it. He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit (Proverbs 27:18). Emotional. Pray that they will take their cares, hurts, and disappointments to the Lord. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). 18

Social. Pray for love, devotion, and sexual purity in marriages. Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure (Hebrews 13:4). Spiritual. Pray that they will call on the name of the Lord and be saved (Acts 2:21). Pray for specific needs you are aware of. Let the Holy Spirit nudge you on how to pray for your neighbours or work associates. Day 3 AUGUST 9 I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land [of Israel] so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord. EZEKIEL 22:30-31 (ALSO READ VV. 23-29) Praise God for the greatness of his power and the wisdom of his choice to govern the world through the prayers of his people. Confess any failure at intercession that you are now aware of. Thank God for the awesome privilege of ruling the world with God through your prayers of intercession. Ask for grace to be a faithful intercessor. Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Body. Ask the heavenly Father, who feeds the birds of the air (Matthew 6:26), to supply the food needs of your neighbors. 19

Labor. Pray that employed neighbors will obey those who have authority over them with respect and sincerity of heart (Ephesians 6:5). Emotional. Pray that they may keep their lives free from the love of money and be content with what they have (Hebrews 13:5). Social. Pray for parents, asking that they will have the wisdom and ability to train up their children in the way [they] should go (Proverbs 22:6). Spiritual. Pray that Satan will not be able to blind the minds of your neighbors and keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). Pray for specific needs of which you are aware. Day 4 AUGUST 10 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-4 Praise God, who is everywhere present in the universe. Confess to God your failure if your prayers have been too narrow and limited in comparison to the charge of 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Thank God for the breadth and depth of his concern for the world. 20

Commit yourself to make requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving... for everyone, including kings and all those in authority. Pray that all the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him (Psalm 22:27). Pray some broad prayers, using the following Bible verses. (Remember, though, that the nations begin at your doorsteps.) Pray that through Jesus Christ all nations on earth will be blessed, as God promised Abraham in Genesis 22:18. Pray that all the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of all nations will bow before him (Psalm 22:27). Pray that Isaiah 9:2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned will become a reality in lands that are still in the darkness of false religions. Pray that every tongue [will] confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:11). Day 5 AUGUST 11 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 21

Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. (Psalm 24:3-10) Pray for the manifestation of God s glory and presence. Pray Along: Lord Jesus, we welcome your presence and your glory in the Greater Toronto Area. We pray that the spiritual gates and doors in the GTA would be opened for your glory to be manifested. May your Name be exalted and magnified in all spheres of this region: in the churches, in the homes, in the communities, in businesses, media, and in the political arena. We pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit and for your glorious presence to be manifested to all in the region and for the hearts of the people to be open and receptive to the Gospel and the saving knowledge of Jesus. Amen. Day 6 AUGUST 12 Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers. LUKE 22:31-32 Praise the omnipotent God, who is able to destroy the works of the devil and protect his children. Ask Christ to teach you how to make use of prayer as a weapon to defeat Satan and to help advance God s kingdom. Commit yourself to prayerfully support the people around you, especially those whom you sense are under attack. 22

Pray for those who live or work near you, asking that God will set them free from the powers of evil. Ask God to set them free from bondage so that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:26). Pray that God will open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in [Jesus] (Acts 26:18). Pray that the Son of God, who came to destroy the devil s work (1 John 3:8), may do so among your neighbors or fellow workers. Day 7 AUGUST 13 Thanks be to God, who... through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? 2 CORINTHIANS 2:14-16 Praise God for the overpowering greatness and sweetness of his love for you and for others. Confess to God any situations in the past week in which you gave off an aroma different from that of Christ s love. Ask the Spirit to show you how you may need to ask forgiveness of others as well as of God. 23

Thank God for the wonderful opportunity to share in spreading the aroma of Jesus love. Ask God for the time and energy to grow closer to your neighbors and coworkers and for the wisdom to identify those who will find his love a fragrance that leads to life. Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Pray that your neighbors will realize the need to be humble before God, that his love is toward the humble rather than the proud. Ask God to preserve your neighbors spiritual and emotional health, even as they walk in the midst of trouble. Pray that God s purpose for the life of your neighbors will be fulfilled, and that they may find the aroma of God s love for them in Christ Jesus. Pray that your neighbors eyes may be opened to see the love of God that endures forever, and to find the security that God will never abandon them. Day 8 AUGUST 14 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. HEBREWS 13:2 Praise God for his openhearted hospitality and generosity to all living things (Psalm 145:15-16). Confess situations in which you may have placed your needs inappropriately ahead of the needs of a stranger looking for hospitality. 24

Thank God for the strangers he has placed in your life on your street or at work as opportunities to show his loving hospitality. Ask God for the faith or vision to see that encounters with strangers can turn into blessings. Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Ask God to pour his grace, rich love, compassion, and goodness into these neighbors lives, and to be slow to anger about their sins. Pray that these neighbors will come into contact with someone who will tell them of the glory of God s kingdom and speak of God s mighty acts. (Pray that God lets you be the one to share his grace with them.) Ask God to lift up neighbors who may have fallen or who may be down. Ask the Holy Spirit to be near to these people when they call out to God, that he will hear their cry and save them. Day 9 AUGUST 15 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. COLOSSIANS 4:5-6 Praise God for his ability to impart wisdom through the Holy Spirit. Confess that in conversations with unbelievers you may have been unwise in what you said or you may have missed an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus. 25

Thank God for calling you to act as a seasoning and as a preservative in this world. Ask God to fill you with his grace and give you opportunities to speak to outsiders. Pray a BLESSing for your neighbors, Pray that God will send people into your neighbors lives to speak the good news to them, if they don t have a relationship with Jesus. Pray that when your neighbors hear the good news about Jesus, they will believe and commit their lives to him. Pray that this faith will change their lives so that they, in turn, may bring the good news to others. Day 10 AUGUST 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 1 JOHN 3:16-17 Praise Jesus for the love that caused him to lay down his life for you. Thank him for doing that. Confess any failing you may have had in reaching out a loving hand to another person. Ask God to help you see the needs of people around you and to give you a heart willing to pay the cost of reaching out. 26

Pray a BLESSing on those who live or work near you: Body. Offer yourself to be used by God to help meet the needs of the people around you. Labor. Pray that neighbors will work diligently and handle their financial resources wisely so that they may give of their resources to reach out to others. Emotional. Pray that hurting people may have the grace to admit their need for help and allow others to help them. Social. Pray that parents may be willing to give of themselves for their children, and that friends and neighbors may be willing to give of themselves for each other. Spiritual. Pray that your neighbors will come to know God s love and be willing to take hold of his loving hand outstretched to them. Day 11 AUGUST 17 I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me! He said, Go... ISAIAH 6:8-9 Praise the Lord for his great plan of salvation and for his willingness to use us to help bring others to him. Confess any carelessness you may have shown by not listening to others needs for spiritual comfort or for not being available to share Christ with others. Ask God to give you the willingness to be used by him. Like Isaiah, pray this prayer: Here am I. Send me! Ask God for the courage to be obedient when he takes you up on your offer. 27

Pray for your neighbors as your relationship with them develops: Ask God to help you pray faithfully for the people on your prayer list. Continue to be more specific in your requests as your relationships with them grow. Pray also that if God chooses to send you to your neighbors, you will be willing and interruptible. Ask for God s help in setting priorities so that you can be available. Ask for wisdom to speak God s message of love and salvation in a way that meets your neighbors needs. Day 12 AUGUST 18 Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. (John 8:12) Pray that the light of God will flood many hearts and those in this city who are walking in darkness will be overcome with the light and love of Jesus. Pray Along: In the midst of the darkness that is so prevalent, we can be confident in the light of God! John 1:5 says, The light shines in the darkness, and darkness has not overcome it. Father, we pray that as the message of the Gospel goes out, darkness will be dispelled and many will be drawn to the true light. Let your light shine on those that are sitting in darkness, gloom and despair. Let those very people become carriers of the light of life. We ask for an invasion of light in our city. Shine your light on every heart. AMEN! 28

Day 13 AUGUST 19 On hearing this, Jesus said, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners. (Matthew 9:12-13) Let us repent on behalf of the church, for thinking that we are better than the sinners. Pray Along: Father, forgive us for thinking that we are better than those who are perishing. Give us your heart for the lost, dying and broken. Father, we cry out for mercy over the lives of those who do not know you. Just as you called us to salvation, we pray that you would call others in our city to come to you. Thank you for this in Jesus name. AMEN! Day 14 AUGUST 20 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38) Pray that our eyes will be opened to see the plentiful harvest and intercede for God to raise up labourers in the harvest field. 29

Pray Along: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the great harvest that is ripe in our region. Give us a burden for the lost and an unceasing desire to share the gospel with them. Raise up intercessors who will pray unceasingly for the fullness of your plans to be manifested in the Greater Toronto Area. Lord, send forth labourers into the highways and byways to share the gospel. We pray for boldness and divine encounters for the labourers that their witness would be accompanied by great demonstrations and that many souls would be saved. Amen. Day 15 AUGUST 21 Brothers, my heart s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. ROMANS 10:1 Praise God, who so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall... have eternal life (John 3:16). Thank God for those who prayed for you and helped to open the door of salvation for you. If you do not have a burden for the unsaved, ask God to put such a burden on your heart. Commit yourself to partner with Jesus Christ in praying for persons yet to be saved. Pray for unsaved persons, using the following Bible verses: Ask the Father to draw these persons to himself (John 6:44). Ask God to give them an understanding of the gospel and to forbid the devil from snatching away what is sown in their hearts (Matthew 13:19). 30

Ask God to open their spiritual eyes, since the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers (2 Corinthians 4:4). Pray for opportunities to relate to your neighbors where you are able to be wise in the way you act toward outsiders and to make the most of every opportunity, with your conversation... always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone (Colossians 4:5-6). Day 16 AUGUST 22 The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV) Pray that many in the GTA will encounter God s love and that they will recognize that God rejoices over each one of us. Pray Along: Lord Jesus, many times people cower in fear of your judgment, when in fact, with great gladness, you extend the loving gift of salvation and freedom to all who would come. Father, would you open the hearts of many in this region to receive your gift today, that each would know the assurance of salvation and come to truly believe that You rejoice and sing over your people with great delight? Father, Son and Holy Spirit, open our spiritual ears and let Your Love song burst forth in the hearts of all who would hear across this region. Amen. 31

Day 17 AUGUST 23 If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14). For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) Pray that we the church will walk in humility and repentance. Pray Along: Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves and repent of our sins. We stand in the gap on behalf of our region and ask for forgiveness for our sins and for the sins of this land. We plead the blood of Jesus over our sins and the sins of our region. You are slow to anger and rich in loving kindness, you delight in showing mercy. Lord, hear our cry, have mercy and heal our land. Release a spirit of conviction and godly sorrow leading to repentance and salvation. Pour out your spirit on all flesh and send revival and spiritual awakening. Amen. Day 18 AUGUST 24 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (Psalm 2:8) Over half of our region was born outside of Canada, and we know that God has a definite purpose in bringing the nations 32

here, to make Himself known to them. Pray that God will draw to Himself people from every ethnicity represented in this region and that they will become key to reaching their own people, whether here or back in their homeland. Pray Along: Father, we ask that you reveal yourself to those who have come into this region, and show them that you alone are God, and there is no other. May their eyes see you and may their hearts perceive your great love for them. May people from every ethnicity in our region come to know you as their Savior. Amen. Day 19 AUGUST 25 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Pray for those people who suffer from the bondage of addictions. Pray Along: Father, we pray that many who are in the bondage of addictions will come and hear the message of hope at the Summit. We ask that addicts will find lasting freedom in Christ! May they find the strength to withstand every temptation and may they be transformed by the power of the Gospel preached that day. We pray that they will find the joy of serving you and they in turn will be used to bring others in addictions into your freedom. Amen. 33

Day 20 AUGUST 26 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility... (Ephesians 2:14) Pray for the healing of relationships to begin to flow; let all be reconciled first to God through the provision of the cross and then reconciled with each other in families, in communities, and among different sectors in the body of Christ. Pray Along: Father, you have extended to us the gift of peace and brought us back to yourself. Let there also come revelation of the work of your peace to bring back together those who have been separated from each other. Let forgiveness penetrate all barriers and break down every wall of hostility in relationships in families, in communities, and among believers. You can release the grace, mercy, and patience into the places of brokenness. You have received us with your great redeeming love. Let that same love now flow to heal the wounds and restore us to one another. Amen. Day 21 AUGUST 27 Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. (Proverbs 31:8); Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. (Proverbs 24:11) 34

Ask God to raise up more people who will speak up for the rights of the unborn in our country. Pray Along: Heavenly Father, our hearts are broken over the reality that there is no legal protection for the unborn in Canada. So as a church we plead with you that you would intervene on behalf of the mute and that your Holy Spirit would hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. Give your Church the eyes to see, the ears to hear and the hearts to feel the horror of the daily slaughter of the unborn. Likewise give your Church the resources to equip, the strength to carry and the love to bless those who are in crisis pregnancies and scared for what their future might hold. This we ask in Jesus Name. Amen. Day 22 AUGUST 28 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Pray that the blinders keeping people from seeing the true light will fall from their eyes. Pray Along: Father, we know that no one can come to you unless you draw them. We ask that you would pour out your spirit of revelation upon the people, so that they will know you. As we pray during this season, may the blinders fall from their eyes, and may they see the true light of the Gospel that displays Christ as the image 35

of God. May many turn from blindness and see the Savior, and receive Him that day. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen. Day 23 AUGUST 29 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 38-39) Pray that many prodigals would experience the love of God and come back to Him. Pray Along: Father, there are many backslidden ones in this region who are living in guilt and regret, and don t know that Jesus is just waiting for them to come back. We pray that they will remember your goodness, come to their senses, and turn back to you. Heal their backslidings oh God, and restore them to yourself and to the Church. Let this knowledge that nothing can separate them from the love that God has for them become real to them. We pray that many prodigals in our city will come home. Amen. Day 24 AUGUST 30 Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean. Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. I am willing, He said. Be clean! (Luke 5:12-13) 36

Pray that through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, people will come to know that Jesus is the answer to all they need. Pray Along: Lord, you are the only one who can take care of every burden, problem, sickness, failure, and every challenge. Father, we pray that the words of Jesus, I am willing will be heard far and wide. Let it cause those seeking and searching everywhere to know that you are willing and available to help them in every area. Holy Spirit we ask that you continue to move among the people of this region to draw and open their hearts to hear Jesus willingness to save, deliver, and heal. This we ask in Jesus Name. Amen. Day 25 AUGUST 31 You who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. (1 Peter 5:5) Members of the millennial generation (those born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s), have grown up in a culture that is suspicious of authority. Church attendance and membership is increasingly resisted. Pray that God would give humility to the young in our nation so that God might be pleased to pour out a blessing on the next generation. Pray Along: Father, time and again, your Word teaches that you give grace to the humble. Yet, our experience as children of the first Adam is that we are inclined to pride. Forgive us for our pride and arrogance. Father, I pray that the millennial generation in Canada 37

would be a generation of men and women who experience a spirit of repentance and humility. Turn their suspicion of authority into glad submission. Turn their doubts into devotion, and their fears into faith. In Jesus name. Amen. Day 26 SEPTEMBER 1 For nothing will be impossible with God. (Luke 1:37) God can change any person and any situation. So let us be bold in asking for some impossible things regarding salvations and situations. Pray Along: Father, we thank you for the promise of your power in the affairs of our lives. We present before you individuals who seem unchangeable and so set in their ways against you. For their sakes, we pray. Reveal to them your great love. Lift blindness from their eyes. Cause them to see what you have enabled us to see; to see you. Enable them to love you and to follow you. Only you can do this great thing. Our eyes are upon you and we wait for you to turn their hearts, saving them. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen. Day 27 SEPTEMBER 2 Say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come...he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame will skip like a 38

deer and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. (Isaiah 35:2,4,5) Pray that many who live in fear and hopelessness will hear the Gospel message and experience the salvation of God. Pray that many will experience healing and deliverance through Jesus our Messiah. Pray Along: Lord Jesus, many in the Greater Toronto Area live with fear in their hearts. Many live in desperate and hopeless situations. We ask that you would visit them with your salvation and deliverance. Let them experience the supernatural touch of God in their lives. You have promised salvation to all who believe. Let the message of the Gospel go forth clearly. Enable the people to believe the Good News as they hear it, and let there be signs, wonders, and miracles that accompany your message. Let Your Name be glorified through the many testimonies of transformed lives and situations in our region. Day 28 SEPTEMBER 3 Finally, they said to each other, This is not right. This is a day of good news, and we aren t sharing it with anyone! If we wait until morning, some calamity will certainly fall upon us. Come on, let s go back and tell the people at the palace. (2 Kings 7:9) Pray that God will stir the hearts of many to share the Good news of the Gospel to all, in their areas of influence. Pray that our members will boldly invite their non-believing friends to Living Word. 39

Pray Along: Heavenly Father, there are many people in our region who want to share the Good News with others, but are fearful in their hearts. We ask that you would give your people the boldness and the courage to declare the Good News fearlessly. We pray that you, the Lord of the harvest, will ignite a burden in our hearts to share this Good News to people who are perishing. Give us open doors, and the boldness to speak. Accompany our words with signs that follow. Amen. 40
