ANIBIC stands for The Association for Neurologically Impaired Brain Injured Children and provides services that enable individuals to reach their potential so they may live as productively as possible. Please join me in giving Deacon John a warm Sacred Heart welcome! Item Two: I would like to thank Fr. Alex for his years of ministry and presence among us. We wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his ministry to God s people. In July, Fr. Alex will be providing assistance to the parish of St. Margaret and in August as Chaplain at Mt. We ask you to please remember us here at Sacred Heart in your prayers and we assure you of a remembrance in our prayers. Fr. Alex, God bless you and Thank You! Item Three: 2018 marks the 140 th Anniversary of the founding of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. I have been informed by the Office of the Bishop that the Mass of Thanksgiving, giving praise to God for the many blessings shed on the parish throughout these 140 years will take place on Saturday, September 29 at 5:00pm. The winner will receive $20,000 and the parish will receive $20,000 (provided all the tickets are sold). More details to follow in future bulletins. Item Five: Thank you for your generous support in last week s Peter s Pence Collection! Our parish contribution of $1,854.00 will be combined with those from our brothers and sisters around the world to help Pope Francis provide essential relief to people in need. Thanks to all the generous individuals who made a pledge to the 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish to date. If you know a boy or girl, young man or woman, who you think would make a good priest or Religious, the bishop asks you to submit their name so they might be personally invited to consider a church vocation. Just fill out a Called by Name Card available at the doors of the church - and drop it off at the rectory.
