WORDS From our students Five days after arriving at the ashram, with daily yoga class and individual therapy for back, hips and knees, I can almost sit cross-legged on the floor. -Elke Zimmerman, Australia My heart is filled with so much love and devotion for this experience. This is beyond what I expected to feel. -Meghan Wood, New York Life can be beautiful. I didn t believe it anymore before arriving at ashram. And now THANK YOU! -Erika Di Crecenzo, Italy
YOGI RECIPE BOOK The food here is amazing. Having a cookbook of the recipes is so special. - David, U.S. The directions are very easy to follow and flow easily from one step to the next. Jenni, Canada The main negative is that I will no longer be able to enjoy Papu s wonderful food from Ramuji s garden when we leave. Though now we have the cookbook! The food was wonderful! - Robert, UK I like that each page has added information such as the importance of organic wheat, or the protein content of a cup on chick peas, etc. And thank you for the lighthearted humor throughout. Eva, Canada
INTRODUCING Shri Jasnath Asan
He who indulges daily in healthy foods and activities, who discriminates the good and bad of everything and then acts wisely, who is not attached too much to the objects of the senses, who develops the habit of charity, of considering all as equal, of truthfulness, of pardoning and keeping company of good persons only, becomes free from all diseases.
Shri Jasnath Asan (ashram) is the oldest educational and spiritual institution in the ancient Marwar region of north Rajasthan. For 500 years it has served visitors as an auspicious site for healing and transformation of mind, body and spirit. It is run solely on donations, and uses its income to ensure the continuing education and upliftment of the ill and underserved from surrounding villages. It provides yoga education and Ayurveda services to all who request it.
WORDS From our guests One of the best places under indian sun! Ashram in the heart of Rajasthan and ashram family. Work with them is a laughter yoga. You can join in the work and know friendly people, learn yoga, eat delicious food, have charming room and blissful equanimity! Rob Sharm, Ukraine The best food in India! What a magical place! Cannot recommend highly enough. Such warm and kind people, a beautiful and serene place to stay - clean, comfortable, incredible food fresh from their own organic gardens every meal, birds in the trees, morning yoga, evening puja. Elle Parsons, U.S. I spent 10 days at this beautiful ashram with some amazing people. Surrounding area is peaceful with an organic garden, trees, space to meditate and beautiful birds and peacocks. This place is run by wonderful people who put their heart and soul into making this place a genuinely peaceful experience for any visitor. The food served here is delicious, healthy and I was fed a different meal at every sitting. I would love to come back to this ashram and spend more time!
