Biographical/Historical note Dr. W. O. Vaught was the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, from 1945 to 1983. He was also a leader in state and national Baptist circles. During his Bible study sessions at Immanuel, Vaught distributed handouts to the people present. Marlon and Martha Haney, who attended Vaught's teachings, collected the handouts and stored them in three binders. At some point, they gave the handouts to Mr. and Mrs. Grady Smith, Sr. The Smiths passed them on to their son Grady Smith, Jr., a pastor in Auburn, Alabama, who donated them to Ouachita Baptist University. Scope and Contents In addition to Bible study handouts on the book of Daniel and several books in the New Testament, the collection contains correspondence, two books written by G. E. Jones, a folder containing miscellaneous Bible studies, a booklet, a printed picture, and numbers three through thirteen of the "This I Believe" series. The collection contained six binders full of several Bible study handouts, which were removed to acidfree folders. Original order of the binders was maintained.
