St. Mary on the Hill July 30, 2017 th In preparation for the celebration of our 100 Anniversary of our Parish, we gathered as a faith community in September of 2016 to discern where God might be calling us to move forward as committed disciples. The Parish Leadership worked long hours over the ensuing months to give order to your insights and discernments. As I prepare to take my leave of this wonderful faith community on Monday, I have used my last few bulletin articles to share with you the fruit of that labor. My prayer is that you with God s grace will have the zeal and energy to put this vision into action. So, I end with the last but certainly not the least of the three Priorities: Hospitality. I praise God for the encouragement and love you have shown me as your pastor. It has been an honor and great blessing to walk with you in faith. Pray for me as I will continue to pray for you. I trust that with Fr. Ross, you will continue to bring the love of God to our world. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. -- Hebrews 13:2 As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to engage and welcome the diverse group of people we encounter both within our parish and our local community. We will foster a culture of warm hospitality toward our active members, those who are exploring the faith or our parish, and the marginalized members of our community. We will strive to understand our differences and focus on our calling to welcome all, strangers and friends alike. Goal: Increase Mass attendance from 2800 to 3400 by August 1, 2020. Some of the important 2017 milestones and strategies that will aid in the fulfillment of this goal are: experience. with seating and collection during Mass. Goal: Increase active participation in all ministries from 800 to 1000 parishioners by August 1, 2020. Some of the important 2017 milestones and strategies that will aid in the fulfillment of this goal are: What are some of the things that you treasure?

Do you believe that all things work for good? Faith is a challenge for everyone at times. Putting our trust in God, in everything we do, means that God s plan for our lives may be different than our plan. When one door closes, another one opens. Trust in God, His plan is always better.
