Volunteer week at our Parish! May 14th-18th Volunteers from the Pastoral Center in Braintree will be coming to our Churches to help with spring cleaning, gardening and maintenance for a week. There will be all kinds of projects being worked on in both churches of Holy Trinity Parish. Each year, the folks at the Pastoral Center choose one parish to help out by donating their time and effort, as well as many materials such as mulch and plants. We have been blessed to have been chosen to receive this great opportunity to get all kinds of work done, from painting to mulching our gardens, planting flowers and everything in between. Parishioners are welcome to join us for this effort. Together we can get a lot accomplished. I welcome their generosity and kindness to us, they even bring lunch! We thank and praise you for the gift of mothers; for their tenderness, care, and compassion, for their intuition and encouragement, for commitment and sacrifice. Bless all mothers this day. Keep, strengthen, and refresh them in your loving care. May they be blessed by our openhearted love and gratitude. Amen. A note from the Pastor Happy Mother s Day to all our Mothers! In a special way we dedicate the Month of May, to Mary our Blessed Mother and Our Lady of Good Counsel. The rosary is a powerful prayer to help us grow closer to Jesus through Mary. How blessed we are to be children of so noble a mother. Mary appeared in the former Yugoslavia ten years to the day before the horrible war there began. Her message was pray for Peace. The world needs prayers for peace. Prayer, fasting, Holy Mass, Confession, reading the Bible, all these are our weapons against evil and our tools to make peace. Last week we heard Jesus commandment, love one another. Having the joy, peace and love of the gospel in our hearts will bring others to Christ. We all have a part to play, we all have work to do in the vineyard. What is God asking of you? Emmett Cullen Holy Name Society Annual Fishing Tournament Sat.
