Dear Friends, PRIEST IN CHARGE REPORT What a wonderfully busy month we ve just had! As most of you probably do, I love Holy Week and all of the services and deeper meaning of my faith that I get to remember and revitalize. God has surely blessed us all here in North Eastern Wyoming! Now is the time of trainings and meetings and work in general, welcome to spring! We are currently training our Worship Leaders, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors and Acolytes. If you have a desire to join one of these ministries or if you re not certain if it would be a good fit for you, please let me or one of your vestry members know and we will look at it and discern your part in our service with you. We are also looking for more Sunday School Teachers and we are looking at a new Sunday School Program for next year called Godly Play. It is an awesome program! No pressure! This is the fun part of Ministry! I am sure that the Soup Kitchen Ministry could use extra hands if you are called to help out there! The wonderful work of this ministry to our poor and displaced people in Campbell County is a shining example of Christ s love in our world. We have a number of projects that the vestry will be working on and I am hopeful that you will all join in when we have a direction that we need to proceed with. One of the projects will be replanting the dead trees and foliage around the church. We also need to clean out the storage sheds, go through what is in them and weed out what we want to keep and what we need to be free of. We will keep you all apprised of ongoing projects as they arise. We are also being called to revitalize our Episcopal Church Women s group. There will be a gathering of ECW in Buffalo on September 15, 2018. This will be a spiritual gathering of women from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. with a speaker and of course food. Every woman in the Episcopal Church is already a member of this organization, so please feel free to join in anything Diocesan wide that is offered. I would like to talk with anyone interested in helping to organize our chapter and to discuss the by-laws and how we can accomplish this together. Just let me know! You are all such wonderful stewards of your church and your community, it is a blessing for me to be able to join you in God s work! I want to thank all of you for the work that you are doing here at Holy Trinity. You are all so willing to do the work that Christ has called us to do. God s Blessings and Peace, Lin+

SENIOR WARDEN S REPORT Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:15-16 We are the body of Christ. As a part of the body we each have our special work to do and a mission to do within the church. The direction of moving from maintenance to mission within the church was established at General Convention in 2003. It seemed that we had lost sight of our mission. How could we change our focus? The answer was to change from individual accountability (i.e. that is the priest s job; that is the vestry s job) to corporate accountability (i.e. that is our job) or mutual ministry, or doing ministry together. All members of the Christian community are called to be ministers through our baptismal covenant. Jesus reminds us to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. The fact that we do most of our wok with other people makes our work mutual ministry. There are three categories essential to mutual ministry the community, individual Christians and designated leaders. 1. The community builds up the body of Christ by working together in programs such as stewardship, education, music, worship and outreach. These ministries require coordinated planning, implementation and review within the congregation. 2. Individual Christians understand our work is an expression of God-given gifts and offer our gifts to the people around them. Planning, working and reviewing our lives help us to fulfill our baptismal promises and provide common ground for reviewing the work of the community. 3. Designated leaders take on leadership roles (rector, senior warden, education director, etc.). Their visibility and significance to the community make it appropriate for us to give them additional attention. Their parts in mutual ministry address individual responsibilities, group responsibilities and the relationships in which they are carried out. Mutual ministry is a cycle that consists of planning for ministry, doing the work and reviewing or reflecting on what we have done. This cycle occurs repeatedly over the life of the congregation and can be used by vestries to help organize their work. Per the signed agreement with Rev. Lin the vestry will be conducting a Mutual Ministry Review in and every three months thereafter. Per the mutual ministry cycle there will be review, planning and action with adjustments when needed. As we complete each cycle the phases should become clearer and help improve the life of our congregation. As we continue this journey with Rev. Lin and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church let us remember to love God, love our neighbors as ourselves and let the Holy Spirit guide us. the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, now and always. Your servant in Christ, Maggi McCreery-McCoy

IT S SPRING!!? We hope Spring is arriving, albeit slowly. Many of us start thinking of doing some spring cleaning, tidying up our worlds and donating some of those gently used items we have collected and no longer feel the need to have. Are you aware that Holy Trinity has an account at Value Villa? Any proceeds from that account return to our beautiful church. So as your house becomes clean and tidy, consider donating to Value Villa under Holy Trinity s name. It s a win-win! Thank you for your consideration.
