Amen HOMELESS SHELTER MEALS The parish is being asked to provide dinner on the 1st Sunday of each month for the guests at the emergency homeless shelter at St. Joseph s Church in Lorain. Our first meal, which includes: meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans and dessert, will be provided this weekend, Sunday, November 1st. We are asking you to prepare some or all of the meal. Please be sure the food is cooked, it does not need to be hot, and please package all food items for spill proof transportation. Drop off your donation to the Holy Trinity Church Parking Lot on Sunday, November 1st from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Thank you in advance for your continued generosity. BOOK CLUB The next Holy Trinity Book Club meeting is Monday, November 30, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. We will discuss the book The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, the improbable, intimate account of how nine working class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit meant. The University of Washington s eight-oar crew team was never expected to defeat the elite teams of the East Coast and Great Britain, yet they did, going on to shock the world by defeating the German team rowing for Adolf Hitler.
