Walking Out Your Deliverance Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9 Introduction Spiritual warfare and deliverance is a process of cleansing the roots of the inner man. This booklet was prepared to give to persons who have recently experienced a deliverance prayer ministry. Most people 4

who received deliverance prayers are surprised to discover that they perceive something actually come out of them from deep inside. This cleansing process is manifested in many different ways, as was explained to you during your time of ministry. Getting completely free may take some time to complete, and may include more cleansing and learning how to walk out and keep your deliverance. This booklet describes seven important steps you can take on your own to help complete the process. Do not be afraid, because Jesus and His Holy Spirit will help you! Read 2 Timothy 1:7. Roger H. Ford, Minister and Overseer, Isaiah 61 Ministries. 5

1) Completing Your Deliverance Many people experience a sensation that spirits are continuing to flow out of them even after their prayer ministry has ended. This is fairly common and natural. Your prayer minister commanded all evil spirits to depart from you, and this process can take time. Some people experience this cleansing process lasting a few hours or even several days. Do not be surprised if you also feel the Holy Spirit remind you of some forgotten sins, people you need to forgive, or curses you may have experienced in your life. Bring this out into the light in the form of a prayer. That is, put the causes (i. e., sins, traumas, ungodly words, etc.) that the Holy Spirit is bringing to your attention under the blood of Jesus by confession and repentance. Then renounce and break any agreement with evil spirits that may remain, and command them to leave, just like your prayer minister did for you. You may then experience a release and a feeling of more freedom from this self-deliverance! 6

See the Steps to Self-Deliverance section in the back of this booklet. Read Matthew 12:28. 2) Daily Bible Reading Keeping your deliverance requires that you renew your mind with God s truth. This requires a strong commitment to Bible reading. We suggest you begin a fresh reading through the Bible beginning today, with a goal of completing it in one year. (Mark today s date in your Bible so you will know if you met your goal!) You might start by selecting three bookmarks and place one each in Genesis 1:1, Psalms 1:1, and Matthew 1:1. Then every day read AT LEAST one chapter from each bookmark, or, some combination of three or more chapters. If you read approximately four chapters per day, you will complete the entire Bible in one year! 7

As you begin each day, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, and especially note how you may gain deep insights by the confluence of ideas, thoughts, inspirations, and Bible truth that you receive from the intersection of the bookmarked sections. Read Hosea 10:12, Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5. 3) Prayer Make it your personal practice to begin each day with prayer and thanksgiving to the LORD. Praise and thank Him for what He has already done and is continuing to do in your life. Then give the Holy Spirit time and permission to deal with you for a few minutes. Confess anything He brings to mind, such as a previously forgotten sin, a current sin struggle, or perhaps someone you need to forgive. Deal with these areas with as much detail as Jesus puts on your heart. Then, after your confession, break agreement with any demons that may be attached to 8

these areas and command them to leave you (see Steps to Self Deliverance section of this booklet). Finally, invite the Holy Spirit to fill up any new space (territory) in your body, soul, and spirit that may have been cleansed. This is an on-going process; do not expect complete housecleaning to take place all at once! Read Psalms 65:8, Psalms 139:23-24 and Matthew 6:14-15. 4) Accountability Make a commitment to keep yourself accountable with your family, pastor, Isaiah 61 prayer team, and other Christian friends you can ask to help you. Keep everything in the light and do not give the devil a foothold. If your accountability partners fail to hold you accountable, call them and ask them to challenge you! Share this booklet with your accountability partners and invite them to ask you questions about your deliverance experience. Read Romans 13:12b and Ephesians 4:27. 9

5) Testify Giving your testimony is a powerful tool to defeat satan and keep the ground you have taken back from him. Make it a point to share your story with others (perhaps starting with your pastor) as often as the LORD gives you an opportunity. You may want to consider giving a written testimony to Isaiah 61 Ministries for us to post on our website or share in a future newsletter. Read Revelation 12:11 and Mark 5:18-19. 6) Memorize Scripture The Word of God is a powerful offensive weapon. But to use it, you must know it. Memorize key scriptures that you can use to ward off the enemy s attacks and also help you take new ground as you submit your entire being to Jesus. Start with the scriptures referenced at the end of each of the previous sections, then 10

add these verses (and others) to your personal arsenal of Truth! Calling the Twelve to Him, He sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits. Mark 6:7. After this the Lord appointed seventytwo others and sent them out two by two The seventy-two returned with joy and said, Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name. Luke 10:1 & 17. Paul. turned around and said to the spirit, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her! At that moment the spirit left her. Acts 16:18. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons. Mark 16:17. The God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet. Romans 16:20. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than 11

these because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name John 14:12-13. Watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. Deuteronomy. 4:9. This is what the LORD says to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God s You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you. 2 Chronicles 20:15-17. 7) Additional Spiritual Warfare Reading It is very helpful to continue to study and learn deeper truths about spiritual warfare. Isaiah 61 Ministries has developed an 12

extensive bibliography on this subject (see www.i-61ministries.org). We recommend that you obtain AT LEAST ONE of the core books on the reading list and commit to reading no less than one chapter per week. A few of our favorite books from the bibliography are listed in the back of this booklet. Try to read several books throughout the year so that you can learn from the experiences of a number of deliverance ministries. As you read and study the approaches and steps to spiritual warfare try to put them into practice! Read Luke 8:10 and Ephesians 6:11-15. May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 13

Steps to Self-Deliverance 1. Confirm your commitment and total surrender to Jesus Christ as your Lord, Savior, and Master in every area of your life. 2. Confess each sin, sin pattern, and their consequences (curses) and forgive others on behalf of yourself and your ancestors. Put everything under the cleansing blood of Jesus. 3. Repent and renounce the sin and its consequences on you and your family. 4. Break all agreement with any evil spirits that have entered you and/or your family as a result of those sins. 5. Command all evil spirits to leave you at once (tell them to go to the dry places where Jesus Himself will deal with them). 6. Forbid the evil spirits to return to you or your family. 7. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill the empty places, set you free, and empower you to serve Jesus in total submission to Him. 14
