Our Gratitude Our Holy Week was so inspiring because the priests (Frs. Vincent, Julio, Ron & Edward) homilies and their reverence lifted our spirits and gave us new energy as believers. The musicians had put great effort in rehearsing to make the Celebration meaningful. The Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers are people who live their faith throughout the week and gave extra time during all the added services. Decorating the altar is very labor intensive. We are grateful to: Jim Dalziel, Corey Fuller, Ryan Fuller, Bonnie Camponeschi, Reef Kneidl, Gina Conroy, Louise Sheckells, Barbara Dressel, Kathleen Moyers, and Brenda Stembler. They came to the church early and stayed long. Their task was made harder by the condition of the flowers this year. Perhaps we will see the flowers bloom this week. Your monetary donations are deeply appreciated for the flowers and the support of the church. We are grateful for those who were willing to participate in the foot washing: Beth Schleupner; Elizabeth La Valley; Darlene Legrand; Paul Baier; Kyrian Elekwachi; Ryan Fuller. Presentation of the Oils: Mildred Itoka; Corey Fuller; Peggy Pleines. Those who willingly present the bread and wine each week. Our sacristans: Phyllis and Al Boemmel and Kimberly LaValley who worked so hard behind the scenes. The altar servers who were wonderful assistants to the priests. Those who assisted in the veneration of the cross Kyrian Elekwachi, Sr. and Al Boemmel. Our ever faithful ushers who do a vital ministry among us. Thank you one and all. Monday, April 9, 2018 Special Mass in honor of the Feast of the AnnunciaƟon @ 6:30 P.M. There will be no morning Mass that day. Please wear white or blue in honor of our Blessed Mother Archbishop s Annual Appeal Next weekend parishioners will be asked to participate in the Archbishop s Annual Appeal. Please remember that this year we have been given an exception to retain the entire amount collected minus minor administrative costs. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary it has been determined that the main roof needs replacing. We would also like to upgrade our air conditioning system. So please participate in the appeal and help us achieve our goal of making the repairs so that the Church may continue to serve the community for many more years to come. Has anyone ever thought of how many times God asks us to do something? Do you ignore it as if you didn t hear Him? Do you get around to His request eventually? Do you flat out say no? When God sent the Angel to Mary, she could have said no. God knew she would say yes. In The Annunciation, the Angel came to Mary and asked her to be the mother of Jesus. This was not only a life altering event for her, but a world changing event. Will God ask you to do something that will change your life or the world? You will never know unless you say yes.
