THE DESIGN FOR HUMAN SEXUALITY A GOSPEL TRACT FOR SERVICE MEMBERS WHO STRUGGLE WITH SEXUALLY IMMORAL CONDUCT (LGBTQ, FORNICATION, ADULTERY, INCEST & BESTIALITY) Important Note: If you are a service member in any branch of the Armed Forces and you are struggling with sexual immorality (LGBTQ, Fornication, Adultery, Incest, & Bestiality), please know that you are not alone. As a Christian, I pray regularly for you, and I care about your eternal destiny. Please accept this tract as a gift from me to you. It will help you understand your purpose in life, the problem of evil, the good news of salvation, and God s design for human sexuality. Though the government has adopted permissive policies regarding sexually immoral conduct, you must understand these lifestyles are contrary to the Word of God. Watch a testimony of how powerful God s Word is in a simple Gospel tract: https://youtu.be/xci422ozgwe. Spread the good news. Soli Deo Gloria. I. ACKNOWLEDGE THE ONE TRUE GOD A. Who is God? Question: What is God (Westminster Larger Catechism, question 7)? Answer: God is a Spirit (John 4:24), in and of himself infinite in being (Exodus 3:14), glory (Acts 7:2), blessedness (1 Timothy 6:15), and perfection (Matthew 5:48); all-sufficient (Genesis 17:1), eternal (Psalm 90:2), unchangeable (Malachi 3:6), incomprehensible (1 Kings 8:27), every-where present (Psalm 139:1-13), almighty (Revelation 4:8), knowing all things (Hebrews 4:13), most wise (Romans 16:27), most holy (Isaiah 6:3), most just (Deuteronomy 32:4), most merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth (Exodus 34:6). B. In the beginning: 1. God created you out of nothing (ex nihilo). In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1, ESV). 2. God made male and female after His own image. Therefore, the lie that God made someone homosexual is not based on Scripture, but Satan. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them (Genesis 1:27, ESV). 3. God ordained marriage between a male and a female, not between those of the same sex. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2:24, ESV). 1

4. God made you to glorify Him as the One True God. Everyone who is called by my Name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made (Isaiah 43:7, ESV). 5. God created everyone with His law written in their hearts. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them (Romans 2:15, ESV). II. COMPREHEND THE PROBLEM OF EVIL A. In the Garden (the fall of man): 1. Our first parents (Adam & Eve) were given a commandment by God. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die (Genesis 2:16-17, ESV). 2. Our first parents listened to a serpent who casted doubt on God s Word, and many serpents (false teachers) exist today who will do the same thing. Did God actually say, You shall not eat of any tree in the garden? (Genesis 3:1, ESV) 3. Our first parents were deceived by the lust of their eyes and flesh, and the pride of life. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate (Genesis 3:6, ESV). 4. Because of one man s disobedience, sin and death entered into the world, which explains why there is so much evil in the world. As a result of Adam s sin, everyone is a sinner, and not deserving of heaven, but hell. Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned (Romans 5:12, ESV). B. The consequences of the fall 1. You are spiritually dead, and without excuse for your sin. Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live (John 5:25, ESV). 2

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse (Romans 1:19-20, ESV). 2. You were conceived in sin, and are a slave to sin. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5, ESV). Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin (John 8:34, ESV). 3. Your heart is desperately evil, and you are blind to the truth. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9, ESV) Jesus answered him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3, ESV). 4. You are filled with hate and rebellion against God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil (John 3:19, ESV). 5. Woman will commit homosexual acts that are contrary to nature. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature (Romans 1:26, ESV) 6. Men will commit homosexual acts with other men that are shameful. C. Judgment And the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error (Romans 1:27, ESV). 1. God s wrath! Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire (Jude 1:7, ESV). 2. No entrance into heaven! Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice 3

homosexuality (1 Corinthians 6:9, ESV). 3. Final judgment where the sentencing of hell will be pronounced! Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From His presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done (Revelation 20:11-12, ESV). III. EMBRACE YOUR ONLY HOPE OF SALVATION A. The Lord declared that He will punish sin with death. If God is holy and just, how can He save you without violating His own standards of justice, when you have broken every one of His laws? He who justifies the wicked and He who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD (Proverbs 17:15, ESV). B. God did not leave His people in an estate of misery. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:4-7, ESV). C. God sent His Son. 1. To live a perfect obedient life that was sinless. And being found in human form, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Philippians 2:8, ESV). 2. To suffer the agony of the cross for His sheep (substitutionary). But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). 3. To purchase His people with His blood. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7, ESV). 4

4. To reconcile His people to God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life (Romans 5:10, ESV). 5. To suffer the fullness of divine wrath to satisfy His Father s wrath (propitiation). Whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins (Romans 3:25, ESV). 6. To impute His righteousness to those whom He justifies by faith. For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21, ESV). 7. To save His people from sexual immorality (homosexuality, fornication, adultery, incest, bestiality). And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11, ESV) 8. To give ever lasting salvation. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive (1 Corinthians 15:22, ESV). 9. To be Lord and judge. For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God (Romans 14:11, ESV). IV. EXAMINE YOUR LIFE TO SEE IF YOU ARE TRULY A CHRISTIAN A. Have you examined your life? Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed you fail to meet the test! (2 Corinthians 13:5, ESV). B. Are you a new creation? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV). 5

C. Are you continually repentant and believing in Christ alone? The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30, ESV). And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel (Mark 1:15, ESV). D. Do you now hate the sin that is evident in your life, to include forsaking sexual immorality? The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate (Proverbs 8:13, ESV). Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against His own body (1 Corinthians 6:18). E. Do you hate the things of the world -- which include laws and policies culturally acceptable but an abomination to God? Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15, ESV). If you are looking for a safe place where you can talk with a chaplain who can help you, please beware of those who call sexual immorality (LGBTQ, bestiality, adultery, incest, fornication) good, as they are not faithful to the text (Scripture), they are false teachers. Please find a chaplain that will love you enough to tell you the truth: that you must repent and forsake your sexual immorality, and believe in the Gospel. 6
