The Jubilee Year of Mercy Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has declared this past year a Jubilee Year of Mercy. The Jubilee comes to an end on November 20, The Feast of Christ the King. During this past year we were encouraged to practice the corporal and spiritual works of Mercy. The Church teaches us that we serve God and one another by acts of charity and mercy. Whenever we come to church: A can of peas or a box of cereal given to our food box We feed the Hungry A coat, scarf or gloves given to St. Vincent de Paul Society We clothe the Naked Blood donated through the Knights of Columbus Blood Drive We care for the Sick A blanket or donation to the Annual Catholic Appeal We shelter the Homeless Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for ME. Matthew 25:45-46 So, let us not end the Year of Mercy on November 20 th but continue a lifetime of Christian Charity and Mercy.
