NEW CREATIONS CHAPEL, INC. P O Box 777 Richmond, Indiana 47374 ARTICLE V. STATEMENT OF FAITH AND DOCTRINE This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that the foregoing Statement of Faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible, and therefore, is binding upon all station Board Members and employees. 5.01 The programs and activities governing the form of worship of New Creations Chapel Inc., Richmond, Indiana shall be based upon and at all times be consistent with the following creed and beliefs: 1) THE GODHEAD. Our God is One, but manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.(Phil 2:6, Matt 3:16-17) 1. Father: God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent One. He is greater than all, the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 1:14, 14:28, and 16:28. 2. Son: The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and as much shares in the divinity and deity of God. He is the One Begotten (John 1:1, 14, 18, 10:30) 3. Holy Spirit: He proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26). We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing believers into the body of Christ, indwelling them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 12:12-14; II Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1:13-14). 2) THE SCRIPTURES. The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (II Tim. 3:15-17; I Thess. 2:13; I Pet. 1:21) 3) CREATION. We believe that God created the universe. We reject evolution as an unscriptural theory of origin (Genesis 1-2; Ex. 20:11).MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. We believe that Satan is the author of sin, and the cause of the fall of man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and, that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Job 1:6-7; Is. 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11, 25:41; Rom. 3:9-10, 3:23, 5:12, I John 3:8; Gal. 3:13,14; Rev. 20:10). 4) SALVATION. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23) We believe that there is only one way of salvation and that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:12, 14:6; Eph.1:7, 2:8-10; I Pet. 1:18-19;). Conditions to salvation: The grace of God, which bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ; Man Page 1 of 6

is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, and being justified by grace through faith, he becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 2:11; Rom. 10:13-15; Luke 24:47; Titus 3:5-7). The evidences of salvation: the inward evidence, to the believer of his salvation, is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16); the outward evidence to all men is a life in righteousness and true holiness. While we are not legalistic in spirit we stand for Biblical righteousness in living and personal conduct, in accordance with the Scriptures. Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which, no man shall see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). 5) RESURRECTION AND ETERNAL EXISTENCE. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. (Matt. 25:46; John 5:28-29, 11:25-26; Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13). The terms eternal and everlasting used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in noting the duration of joy and ecstasy of the saints in the presence of God. (Heb. 6:1-2, 9:27; Rev. 19:20). 1. Heaven: We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the First Resurrection, when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain (Luke 23:43; II Cor. 5:8; Phil 1:23, 3:20-21; I Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 20:4). 2. Hell: There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and will be judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, which is hell, and therefore has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or for repentance and will be tormented day and night. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15, 21:1,8; II Pet. 3:13) 6) SEPARATION. We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God (Rom. 12:1-2;14:13; II Cor. 6:14-7:1; II Tim. 3:1-5; I John 2:15-17; II John 9-11). 7) THE SECOND COMING OR BLESSED HOPE The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16-18; Rom. 8:23; Titus 2:13; l Cor. 15:52-53; Rev. 11:15). 8. THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF JESUS The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth is the scriptural promise and the world s hope (2 Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; Rom. 11:26-27; Rev. 20:1-7). 9. THE CHURCH. We believe that the church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons (I Cor. 11:2, 12:12-14; Eph 1:22-23, 5:25-27). Christ alone is the recognized head of the church. Every born-again believer is a member of the church and should be loved and fellowshipped accordingly. While it is true that some have erred in matters of Doctrine, and laboring together with them may work a hardship, we do recognize that fellowship is based on our walking in the light as He is in the light. We believe that the Holy Ghost will never lead the body of Christ to walk contrary one to another and it is enjoined upon all to strive to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come to the Unity of the Faith. Page 2 of 6

We believe that the establishments and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27, 20:17, 28-32; I Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11). 10. SANCTIFICATION. The Bible teaches that without Holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; II Peter 3:18; II Cor. 3:18; Phil 3:12-14; I Cor. 1:30). WATER BAPTISM. All who repent of their sins and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. This is a declaration to the world that they identify with Christ in His death and have been raised with Him in newness of life. (Matt. 23:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4). 11. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to those who are believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience usually or should be accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8, 2:38-39,19:1-7, 2:4) 12. LAYING ON OF HANDS. A simple belief that power or anointing or any other necessary quality can be transmitted from one person touching another. Laying on of hands was practiced by the Levitical Priesthood. Jesus practiced it in Mark 10:13-16 as a blessing, and is our grounds for baby dedication instead of baptism. 1. Laying on of hands for divine healing, which was provided for in the Old Testament, and is an integral part of the Gospel. (Ex. 15:23-26; Ps. 103:1-3; Is. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; Mark 5:22,23,41, 28-31, Acts 5:16, 28:8, 19:11,12; Jas. 5:14-16). 2. Laying on of hands to confer office. (Acts 6:2-6) 3. Laying on of hands to receive the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8:16-18) 4. Laying on of hands to believe words spoken, to receive anointing, and to cultivate the anointing. (I Tim. 4:14) 5. Laying on of hands for minister in training, licensing, and/or ordination to consecrate and receive the necessary ministry tools. (I Tim. 4:14) 13. COMMUNION--THE LORD S SUPPER. The Lord s Supper is a memorial of his sufferings and death and a prophecy of his second coming. It is enjoyed by all believers until he comes. (I Cor. 11:26) 1. The bread symbolizes the Lord s broken body. (Is. 53:5; I Cor. 11:24) 2. The cup represents the new covenant in his blood, which provides us forgiveness and relationship with God. (Heb. 9; I Cor. 11:25) We judge ourselves and realize that this is our salvation and receive it for if we receive it unworthily, without giving it honor as our salvation, we are guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (I Cor. 11:27-30 14. GIVING. We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his local church financially. We believe that God has established the tithe, ten percent of one s total income, as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give additional offerings cheerfully to the support of various ministries of God s Kingdom, including, the relief of those in need and the spread of the Gospel. We believe that a Christian relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the tithe or offering once the gift has been made (Gen. 14:20; Prov. 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; I Cor. 16:2; II Cor. 9:6-7; Gal. 6:6; Eph. 4:28; I Tim. 5:17-18; I John 3:17). Page 3 of 6

15. MISSIONS. We believe that God has given all believers a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; II Cor. 5:20). 16. HUMAN SEXUALITY. As an ecclesiastical nonprofit corporation (religious organization) we are not required to provide, and in order to live by and according to the Holy Scriptures, we specifically choose against the provision of services, accommodations, facilities, goods, or privileges to an individual if such request is in violation of the corporation s religious beliefs as duly set forth in the corporation s governing documents, policies, and the Holy Scriptures. However, any and all such decisions shall be carried out in a manner that would cause anyone seeking their salvation to believe that this organization does sponsor, support, and implement the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a means of being delivered from such abominable activities. The following are just some of the behaviors and lifestyles that violate the belief systems of the corporation: Unacceptable behaviors and lifestyles: 1. Men and women who exchanged the natural use of their bodies (homosexuality, bisexuality, transgender, same sex marriages, etc.) Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves... For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful. (Romans 1:24-32) Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) 2. Works of the flesh Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication... (Galatians 5:19-21 3. Adultery You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:27-28) Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4) 4. Fornication For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders... (Mark 7:20-21) Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord... (1 Corinthians 6:13-16) For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5:5) Page 4 of 6

5. Sexual immorality... as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7) 6. Witchcraft and sorcery For rebellion is the sin of witchcraft... (1 Samuel 15:23) Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery... sorcery, hatred, contentions... (Galatians 5:19-21) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God s plan. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. Anyone in leadership found to be living in any of the sexual perversions, shall be removed from leadership. A desire to continue and not repent for any sexual perversion shall be expelled from The Church Body. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29, 7:2; I Cor. 5:1, 6:9, 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4). Biblical Repentance: True Biblical repentance is available to people who have committed sin. People who commit sin should repent quickly. True repentance is purging the sin out of your life because you abhor it (truly detest and hate it) and are totally committed to walk away from it and never do it again. a. God wants everyone to repent from sins (true Biblical repentance) there is no other alternative. The Lord is not slack... not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13:1-5) Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent... (Rev 2:5) b. Let being sorry or sorrowful lead to true repentance. Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. (2 Corinthians 7:9-10) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? (Romans 2:4-6) Pursue peace with all people, and holiness... (Hebrews 12:14-17) c. We should confess our sins and repent of them. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie... (1 John 1:6-9) Page 5 of 6

d. We should depart from iniquity and cleanse ourselves (turn from it). Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (2 Timothy 2:19-21) Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1) e. We should deny ungodly behavior and worldly lusts. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. (Titus 2:11-12) f. True repentance means we go and sin no more. She said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. (John 8:11) 17. SANCTITY OF LIFE. We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. (Job 3:16; Ps. 51:5, 139:14-16; Is. 44:24, 49:1,5; Jer. 1:5, 20:15-18; Luke 1:44). 18. CIVIL GOVERNMENT. We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: 1) the home; 2) the church; and 3) the state. Every person is subject to these authorities, but all (including the authorities themselves) are answerable to God and governed by His Word. God has given each institution specific Biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has the right to infringe upon the other. The home, the church, and the state are sovereign in their respective Biblically assigned spheres of responsibility under God (Rom. 13:1-7; Eph. 5:22-24; Heb. 13:17; I Pet. 2:13-14). 19. LAWSUITS BETWEEN BELIEVERS. We believe that Christians are prohibited from bringing civil lawsuits against other Christians, the church, or Christian organizations to resolve personal disputes. We believe the Christian community possesses all of the resources necessary to resolve personal disputes between believers. 20. WAGERING AND GAMBLING. We believe that wagering, gambling, etc. is sin and should not be entered into because it gives the appearance of evil. It is also sometimes against the law. We need not put our faith in gambling but put our faith in God. (Ex. 20:17; Mt. 22:39; II Thes. 5:22; Mt. 6:24; Prov. 23:4; II Cor. 5:7). Page 6 of 6
